Cover For Boat Seats?
How hard is it to go to Walmart and buy a 10X20 silver tarp with the brown back for $20 or so and a few bungie cords or rope and cover your boat. Nothing infuriates me more than people that will let an otherwise nice boat sit out in the elements and rot The silver-brown tarps will last several years.

Who Needs A Bass Buster When There Are These!
I really like my Basshunter Bass Baby but with a top speed of about 5 mph it's really slow. Those are interesting! If only I could get them to fit into my toyhauler camper like my Basshunter

Hooked Hull
Pretty hard to imagine a fiberglass bass boat hull getting a hook from the trailer bunks being out of whack. Happens quite often with aluminum boats if the transom overhangs the bunks too far but a glass boat would almost certainly be a manufacturer defect or broken stringer. I very large cruiser that weighs many thousands of pounds yes, but not a 1-2 thousand lb boat. Glad to hear Tracker is stepping up to the plate and correcting this for you.

Tracker Pro 160
To make matters even worse, that boat with the 9.9 is $200 more than the same rig with a 20 hp What are the people at Tracker smoking?
-
Tracker Pro 160
This is just my thought but the 9.9 will make that boat pretty useless for anywhere else you might decide to fish later. The 9.9 on a 14 ft flat bottom will plane the boat and scoot it pretty good. A 9.9 on a 160 will not do much more than a stout trolling motor. The boat will be roomier and much more comfortable to fish out of however.

Bass Tracker Panfish 16
The hull drain plug will be located at the very bottom and usually in the center of the hull. The livewell system will have an intake and a drain located off to the side in most cases and the intake or drain may be elevated above the bottom of the boat. These do not need to be plugged. For safe measure post a picture of the back of your boat that shows the 3 holes.

Charging Deep Cycle Marine Battery?
First make sure your charger has the proper setting for Deep cycle and maintenance free batteries. If it has that setting charge with the highest amperage available at all times. It will cycle on and off when the battery is full and that on and off is used to help with getting rid of sulfacation that forms on the plates. Never use a low trickle charge on these batteries. Chargers built for automotive batteries only should not be used for deep cycle. Deep cycle chargers hold the voltage at a higher and constant level until the battery is topped off whereas regular chargers raise and lower the voltage (not talking amperage) during the process.

1976 Johnson Seahors 15 Horsepower Keeps Dying
Much more water should be coming out of that exhaust port especially running on the hose. The exhaust port is the tale tale on these motors. When you run them on a hose the pressure will totally obscure a bad impeller. You have a bad impeller and some kind of blockage going on. Probably from pieces of the impeller. That probably has nothing to do with the dying issue however. Fix the cooling issue first and then tackle keeping the motor running.

Pond Prowler Vs. Pelican Bass Raider?
Bought mine thru Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003LC118Y/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1? ie=UTF8&m=AHH30MBO11OIQ According to even Basshunters own website the 8ft actually has more fishing room than the 10ft EX due to the layout. I have never fished 2 people and yes it probably would be cramped. Going by OP post about usually fishing alone. Mine was shipped truck freight to my door in 2 days!!!!!

Lower Unit Leaking
If it still leaks with a new plug and gasket I would take it to a dealer and have it checked. There could be a tiny crack in the threaded area or just a small burr that is preventing a good seal. I assume no warranty being an '06.

Pond Prowler Vs. Pelican Bass Raider?
Neither! if you are fishing alone get the 8 ft BassHunter Bass Baby. The built in wheels make launching and loading a breeze for one person. Much better built and much tougher plastic without any seams to leak. Yeah they cost more but are worth it IMHO. I take mine out on some big waters including occassionally KY Lake. Here is a video of mine taking some rather large boat wakes last weekend during a camping trip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c043ZXgu0x4&feature=c4-overview&list=UUwQYEn9IDPJOagBqt6A70Vw

Cranking Battery Question
I run the Autozone Duralast batteries and have for the past 15 years in my cars, trucks, and boat as the cranking battery. I have gotten 8 years from every single one so far. They are a great battery and have a very good warranty-replacement if needed. My son did just have one fail in his 2004 F150 that was 2 years old and they replaced it without even checking it.

Best Time To Buy Electronics?
Cabelas and sometimes Basspro usually have some amazing sales on electronics around Christmas and just after. That is when I have bought all of mine over the last 2 years, (various Lowrance Elites) and have saved several hundred bucks doing so.

Floor For A Jon Boat?
I have regular and cheap 3/8 plywood carpeted in mine with blue foam board underneath between the ribs. No other bracing and only a couple of screws holding it down. The floor is very solid and quietened things considerably. I dont normally let my boat get wet inside so this should last many years.

Sealing A Battery??
Auto parts stores will have an epoxy stick designed for use on sealing battery cases. If you have lost very much of the electrolyte out of one of the cells though the battery won't be very long lived.

Way overpriced on most stuff, never have what you really need, a sales associate is never to be found, honestly don't know how they are still in business.

Renting Boat On Pickwick
If you have never fished Pickwick Lake it is huge, can be very very rough, and hard to locate fish when you are not familiar. Hire a guide and catch a boat load of probably personal best fish. It will be well worth the cost. There are guides for most any species you are after. Just do a little Googling and also look at Mid-South Hunting and Fishing News. For usually $2-300 it is cheaper than renting a boat and most guides will even clean your catch at the end of the day.

Tracker Grizzly 1448 Leaking
I can feel your pain. 2011 Tracker 1542 just did this. This is where the front handle bolts thru the bow and front lip of the front bench. Only stress this ever recieves is from the trailer winch. I am going to reinforce this with some flat aluminum stock and hope it will prevent the crack from developing in the hull also. This is my first ever Tracker and will be my last!! Bought this boat because of the light weight for the size. Live and learn I will strip everything off of this boat before long and get a 1542 War Eagle instead!!!!!

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
I will expand on my above post a little. I trolled for 6 hours non-stop today spider rigging for crappie fighting a 10-15 mph wind using speeds 3-5 on my MK 45 Edge bow mount on my 16 ft Alumacraft bass boat. I never even once shut this motor down today while fishing. This boat has a Walmart group 29 that is now 5 years old and I had no noticeable loss of power when I loaded it on the trailer. Never cranked the outboard the entire day. If you are only getting 4-5 hours with a 30lb motor you are most likely in need of a new battery if not right now very soon!!!

Gopro On Boat Question..
I have used to head strap a little but mainly have mine mounted different places in the boat. I have stuck mounting bases all over my boats for different angles and am still experimenting. The nice thing about the adhesive bases is you can usually just put slow steady pressure and they will pull off without leaving any residue and then they will stick somewhere else just as well. A blowdryer or the hot sun will help with the stubborn ones.
