I am guessing you are referring to a mounting solution for the transducer? I am not familiar with the Dragonfly.......could you not modify a trolling motor mount for a Lowrance or Humminbird to work with the Dragonfly?

Hey Joe. My 18'-6" boat that I had on the roadtrip last year had a 24v motor on it.

Very nice...............If my garage looked like that I would be living in it.......kudos!

I went with the ram mounts with 2.25".....they hold my lowrance hds 7 touch and my hds 9 touch........I don't feel like they are overkill.......and those units don't move regardless of the wave pudding the boat gets.

I have the gopro 3+ black also.......I have a cable to connect it to Lowrance HDS 9 so I can see what I'm shooting........can use the app on my phone too......but not being able to see what I was shooting would be an issue. I also bought a camdo battery eliminator so I don't have to worry about battery life......it just runs off my boat battery.

I think boats are like anything else in general......all that matters is what you think/like.....unless you worry about what others think. I believe most boats are at minimum.....functional, float and work as a fishing platform. Then it boils down to what you like....layout, color, design. Longer boats tend to give a better ride in my opinion......how much is a topic for debate maybe. When it comes to what type of boat, outboard, Trolling motor and maybe even electronics......it is the old Ford, Chevy or Dodge quandary, My first boat was a procraft......I have heard folks say they would never own one and they are junk......heard others say they are the greatest. (I count myself closer to the latter). I searched for procraft when it came to my second boat......only wanted bigger boat...otherwise would have still had my first boat. I think there may have been a time when procraft might not have been good boats.......but I have heard the same about nitro........so I would find a boat that I liked...check it out thoroughly.....really close (trust me.....I tend to not do this close enough)........and go for it.....but do not settle....if you do, you will regret it shortly.

I have the bps/mustang auto/man.....I think about $199 but you can catch on sale. My wife uses a mustang MIT auto/man.......about $149 but currently on sale at BPS for $25 off. My son uses a bps/onyx auto/man about $125ish.......but we just bought him a mustang auto/man camo for $119 at bps. all except the newest mustang camo have been used for 3 years.....sun and rain. My wifes and mine, both, have been worn several times in very heavy rain without deployment. I do worry about that though......also do not store it in your vehicle or boat storage.....the heat and humidity can cause them to deploy. I store mine in the house. I opted for the auto/man version....since there is the possibility of getting knocked out on the way out of the boat......if nothing else I hope that it will allow for a quicker recovery of my body so my family doesn't have to go through the sometimes days of waiting while they look for the body......seen it too many times and I always try to plan for the worst and hope for the best!

I understand they stopped using plywood in transoms around '99 or '00.......my 2001 did not have plywood and neither does my 2009.

That was my first boat.....except I had a 2 stroke. 2001 procraft 185 pro dc 150 2 stroke. I thought the ride was fine and really liked the boat. The only reason I sold it and moved 'up'......was that it had a dual console and I wanted a single console. My finish was not what I would like but was a result of previous owners neglect. I bought another procraft......2009 210 super pro sc.

I picked up an 8' pull rod at lowes that breaks down into 2' sections.....makes it a lot easier to fish thru.

we have been unusually warm off and on this winter.....yesterday afternoon was frigid with howling winds....today it will barely be above freezing after very cold start. then tomorrow it starts to warm with a high in the mid 60s and Saturday forecasting close to a record 78 degrees......weather roller coaster. nothing bad like the northeast.....man I feel for those folks.

Craigslist is a good place for used TMs.......I buy all my new ones from thedigitaloasis.com.......best prices I have found on electronics.
