The 2 Roadtrips that I have attended were a blast! Great meeting new people and seeing old friends. I encourage anyone who can, to attend.

I don't have that kind of dough! I just paid my boat off last Friday and l do want to buy another boat........but i fully expect it will be my last boat. This boat is a 2001 that I bought a little over 3 years ago.........and the next one I buy, I expect will be a used boat too. The only reason I want another boat is my current boat is a dual console and I want a single console. Like already stated....to each their own.

I moved the charging cables to different batteries and made sure the error followed.........so I believe the charger to be ok...............put in the new batteries and all is fine. Appreciate it Joe.

One of my deep cycle batteries went bad and while on the chargers boiled the water/acid out. Not only into the battery tray but down into the bilge. After I pulled the batteries out I poured 6 large cups of water with baking soda into the trays and the bilge......then rinsed out with the water hose for about 5 minutes. You could hear the acid 'sizzle' when I began pouring in the baking soda mixture.........by the time I was done with the baking soda mixture you could no longer hear any 'sizzle'. Just saying, keep an eye on your batteries while on the charger......they can make a mess and could cause a lot of damage!

You could always net the bass to get them in the boat..........I would think that would be better than 'grippin' them to lift them into the boat. Just my .02 cents........I would only grip catfish maybe....actually have a glove I use for catfish though.

Gonna miss the folks that can't make it.......but I understand. We have kind of settled on not traveling anywhere on trip like this that we are unable to make in a day's drive. Unless there is another lake that we want to fish that would break the drive up (ie drive 7 hours to lake 1 and fish for a day....then proceed 12 hrs to lake b for destination fishing) And with that being said......there will always be the possibility of an exception!

NNNNNOOOOOOOOO..................say it ain't so Gary! You do realize that if you started in 2008.......this would be your 8th roadtrip? The last number in the year you began to attend! Your not making it could do something bad to the space-time continuum or the fabric of time! We will miss you buddy.......but I will hold out a little bit of hope that you will partake of the party box of wine next week and change your mind.

I have never fished Toledo Bend....but from what I have read, the lake is large and there should still be plenty of prespawn fishing to do............probably just depends on the weather.

2 queens are $105/day. $650/week in the Delta motel. The week rate is $718/week with taxes out the door I think. 2 doubles are $95/day $550/week in the motel. $617/week with taxes out the door I think. Sorry to hear that. While I have only been on the last two.......I think they were great. I really appreciate all of the hard work and endeavors you have put into pulling the road trips together as well as keeping the forum running. While I will miss the official BassResource Roadtrips.......I hope you will attend the 'unofficial' Roadtrip if you can......I really enjoyed fishing with you last year.

I like to spend a little more for quality when I can.......but on occasion I have to cheap out.
