I love the rain...............but I like Monday through Thursday usually when I am not fishing............but this week I do not like it at all.........because I am fishing on the road trip. But it has been better today and will be better tomorrow and then all gone! I like lightning too..............only when I am at home where I can enjoy the show.

That looks good...........I wish I could kayak.......my back and neck will not allow me to twist much so I don't think I could do it. Man but does your setup look good!

Today on Wilson at the road trip the water was a little choppy and the wind blowing....................man o man...............she just slid right up on to the trailer perfectly centered.

You will get a lot responses I imagine........'popular' can be misleading..........not sure anyone compiles that information for public consumption. interesting though.

I imagine in so................inOklahoma you can file for a lost title.

Beckie and I have had a very slow day today.........very muddy here at Wilson on the road trip. We threw a lot of things but drop shot was not one of them,,,,,,,,,,,,,hopefully tomorrow things improve!

Fishing for Beckie and I was very slow. Water very muddy from the storm runoff. But the great thing about it......is there is always tomorrow.........at least for the next few days!

If they had been informed of that................they would have cancelled the reservations and told us to go to Pickwick!

Yep....excited it the word! boat is all ready.....truck washed and ready,,,,,,,gear all staged for truck loading in the morning,,,,,,,,,just have to pack clothes. load truck in the morning.....hook up the boat and hit the road between 3 and 6 AM! See ya there Gene.......travel safely.

We fished 2 days in the rain last year...rain ok.....Thunderstorms not so much.

It's the everything in between that has me worried.

both good ideas...............I hate storing things.............I just want them to magically be at hand when needed and disappear when not.

I had nothing.......made a rod organizer....went to socks when I recarpeted the boat and did not put the organizer back in..............then after 2 trips with the rod socks.............returned the socks and reinstalled the organizer. still using the socks on my spinning gear................. .....WHILE on the water I actually have all my rods that I am using that day (about 6 or so) laying on the front deck with me.........just have to be careful.

Baseball games last night........and baseball games just about all day today. At least one more game tomorrow. Then we can start packing some thing up for this road trip..........and then maybe get them loaded tomorrow. Scheduled departure time is 0300 Monday morning..........we'll see. current forcast for our trip looks like thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday. (70-90% chance depending on source).....20% chance of showers on Wednesday.......I can do the showers........but the thunderstorms might put a damper on it for us Monday and Tuesday...........again, we'll see. Good news is I did get the grass cut today............and the boat pulled around to the garage for staging.......loading and covering on Sunday evening. Tick Tock Tick Tock 3 Days for most of y'all...........about1 day and 5 hrs for me.......WOO HOO!

I too skip docks with families or groups using them and actually will troll out and and around those docks giving them their space (respect).........and when I come upon a dock with someone on it I say hi in a friendly manner and engage in very small talk if they start talking. If there is any kind of confrontational behavior on thier part.......I just say 'sorry.....I understand'.......skip their dock and fish on.....there have been a couple of times when that response has caused the other person to apologize and say it was ok to fish their dock. Either way not worth your life...or anyone elses.

Yeah. Like everything else....There are those fisherman that are disrespectful and cause us all to look that way.....Just like jerry bike riders give all bikers bad name. Not really....but you get it.

I'll show you next weekend, Brian. MY problem is that I am retentive and I want my boat 'perfectly' centered on my trailer.............and I not a great boat loader........these position the boat exactly where it was when it left the trailer without any effort on my part (other than getting it running up on the trailer).........even with a crosswind, wakes, or currents........just slides right up into place. Then they quickloaders (guideons) simply turn 90 degrees to moved the alignment surface away from the boat while being trailered down the road. Necessary....no. Required....no. But the bottom line is it will make my life easier and that makes me happier. I just happened to have a few bucks that I could use for it so I bought them. And I already love them! They will make the end of a long day on the water much easier........keeping the day enjoyable and not ending it with issues of trying to load in the wind or the like. That video shows you we were coming in at the end of a local bass tournament......there were alot of boats still coming in.......I was able to just slide up onto the trailer...perfectly centered....hook up and pull out. Lot's of you guys don't need them.....I feel like I do.....they make me more confident in loading, ie more successful loader......so I'm much happer at the end of the day.
