This Is Why You Should Use A Kill Switch Lanyard
I'm just saying wear the kill switch lanyard attached to your person while the boat is running.........every boat operator owes that to everyone else on and around the water. If you fall out without the lanyard attached......you leave a lethal projectile on the water........just wear the lanyard. It is sad one young man lost his life. Whether or not he was wearing a PFD is irrelevant. I wear my PFD at all times.......because if I always do while on the water..........I won't be not wearing it when I need it. If for nothing else.....so recovery is quicker/easier......make it easier on my family. Whether you wear it or not is up to you.........that's it. Sorry for those that lose their life and prayers to their families. EDIT: my avatar pic is from before I purchased my PFD.

How Much To Spend On A New / Teenage Angler
Buy him what you consider decent equipment. If you go cheap it could turn him off of fishing with bait casting equipment. A pro qualifier and a $100 rod maybe? Never give anything that you aren't willing to write off...........I mean you don't want to have any bad feelings about giving something that if they don't like it or drop out will bother you. Every time I give a gift.....you can do what with it....won't bother me or keep me from giving again down the road.

This Is Why You Should Use A Kill Switch Lanyard
This is why you SHOULD use a kill switch lanyard to prevent an accident/tragedy. One boater on the way to hospital and one boater missing. Story here: http://www.newson6.com/story/24970430/boat-malfunctions-at-claremore-lake-crews-search-for-missing-person Boat ran free for a while......luckily it circle/spiraled safely.

Electric Steer Trolling Motors - Battery Consumption
does the electric steer trolling motors like terrova with ipilot/ MG xi5 with gps, consume much more battery power than a comparable cable steer TM? (assuming both are 24volt) do they consume much battery power when spot locked ? Basically, can I expect to fish a full day (8+ hrs) with fully charged batteries in proper working order.......on a windy day (15 mph winds) ? I understand there are alot of variables....but trying to determine if electric steer is for me and battery consumptions is the only thing holding me back.

Just Picked Up Lowrance Spotlight Scan Transducer
Went to BPS to grab a couple of rods on the last day of the rod trade in days, and as I passed the electronics area and noticed a Lowrance Spotlight Scan unit.........I asked the rep how many he had......he said 2......I said I'd take one of them. Pretty excited about it..........hopefully get it mounted before the weekend........I'll keep you posted.

Trailer Spindle/axle Help
Inner race is the part that slides onto the spindle.

Trailer Spindle/axle Help
Sometimes the inner race spins on the spindle.....'welding' itself to the spindle. Had this happen on a truck once. Cut the race off with a torch....... 'Sanded' the spindle smooth with Emory cloth and everything was fine. Edit: I do not endorse or condone cutting off the race with a torch.....just what I did as a young man.
