Fishing Seat Vs Butt Seat
Thanks everyone. I think I'll stick to my chairs for now........can't cheat around on the bad back issue and there have been many times where I needed to sit down and have the back support.

Fishing Seat Vs Butt Seat
Which do you use and why? I think I would like a butt seat.....however I'm wary of not having a fishing seat for my back towards the end of the day. Anyone with back issues use the butt seat? Not a cheap expense.......but I don't know when that has stopped me before.

Taking It Out Of Mothballs
I pulled my boat down to fuel up today so I could take it out of mothballs. This was the. First time I've pulled it with the new truck........and I hear the clunk. It's my hitch moving around the receiver......I'll see if I can find something that fits tighter......or I will shim it up by making a shim out some hard rubber. Changed out my trailer lights. Re packed the wheel bearings. Fired up the motor to burn out the fogging oil and test the new water pump. Man to hear that two stroke rev to life..........could actually hit the lake next weekend maybe. A few more things on the list to get done....but now we have more time at night to get 'er done!

Advise On New Trolling Motor
If you read all of the threads on 'which trolling motor should I get?'...........you will find one response in every one of them..........get the most powerful trolling motor you can afford! That is in my opinion.......the best advice I've heard.

Safety Equipment Inspection
Make sure you check out the video on our home page for PFD inspection. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/maintain-inflatable-vest.html Take some time and inspect all PFDs for tear, rips or anything that would make it unserviceable......replace as required. Inspect all safety equipment before the beginning of the season.....even if you checked it at the end of last season it is important to check at the beginning to find any damage by rodents or dry rot before we need them. Things are going to happen........Let's do our best to make them happy things!

Stratos Or Procraft
And do not settle......don't be in a hurry. There will always be another boat. I know it doesn't feel like it......and it's not easy.........but you will not be happy if you settle. It should be just about like buying a new boat........get the color you want, d/c or s/c, brand you want, condition, finish, motor............electronics & TM are closer to the bottom for me (I like to buy those that I want). Did I say don't settle? Good luck

How Close Is Too Close?
I find that, as they are rambling and me listening, and they realize that I am preparing to get underway in a bit of a hurry.......................and that my old 150 merc pushes my boat away from that spot in a hurry.........they may want to be a little bit farther away in their kayak or canoe. Just kidding........I would probably never do that.

Where's Your Old Lady???
If I remember correctly..................I only fished twice last year without my wife. Once was with a buddy of mine on my home lake.....................and the other time was one day on Pickwick at last years Bass Resource Road Trip.
