  1. d**n look at the mouth! Nice fish man, congrats on the P.B.
  2. Me and my dad hit up Lanier often, and planning a day trip to Altoona for stripers. If you ever want to go just message me on here.
  3. I set the hook straight up on almost every bait. If the fish is swimming a certain direction I will I will of course set it the opposite way.
  4. I have also caught a bass 4 times, but in a row. It was on a crankbait to. It was a male defending a bed.
  5. I did this and fish stay alive the entire time. I just make it a habit of pouring a little bit of cool lake water to keep the water at stable temps.
  6. Geez, no need for me to post anything haha.
  7. As stated before me and many, many, many times in other topics its really just a confidence thing. I've heard some people say it makes it look like the bait or lure is bleeding which I highly doubt a bass really cares. I personally just think because its red company's do that to draw attention to their product and make it stand out from the rest.
  8. Just remember you need heavy gear for it. You can get one on TW.
  9. 65# Power Pro main line and 25# Big Game as leader. Once you catch several fish on it it's worth it haha. I'm getting 4 more in a couple of days, they're worth it.
  10. I use an Okuma Guide Select Swimbait Rod and let me tell you this rod is amazing for the price. I have the heavy 7'11" and it's rated from 1-6oz's. You can load up a cast so easily on this rod.
  11. He's a really cool dude. Brings luck to the boat haha.
  12. I have no idea. The only fish I weigh is when I think it could beat my PB. Me and my friend think I had the exact same fish on this morning. Hit in the exact same spot and fought the exact same. It can unhooked on the Huddleston after about 15 seconds. I was mad haha.
  13. It was several hours ago fishing with my friend Kyle(Fishingallday31 on YouTube). Third cast with the Huddleston Deluxe ROF5 fishing it fast over grass matts "Bam-Capow-Sploosh" I felt a big hit. It felt and looked like my first 10+ at first but it fought so hard. I also caught a toad on a custom skirted jig earlier in the day. Caught 1 other then had a giant maybe 6+ break me off. It was my fault, can't catch two and not check your knot. Going to go see if I can get my jig back at 5:00am today . And here is the other big one today.
  14. 8" weedless Huddleston. Fastest way to get your first 10#
  15. Yep, I love being able to stand out of it and not having to worry about falling out. With the battery, my rods, trolling motor and tackle it barley wobbles. I love being able to glide into small parts of lakes to.
  16. Nope, a lake in my neighborhood.
  17. Lakeforkfishinguide, I think that's his name on YouTube has a video where he is fishing a jig on beds and the quality is unreal. There's one part where be his fishing a bed with eggs on it and his attention to detail is awesome. He actually puts the camera underwater and films the bass take it.
  18. I wouldn't be surprised if you get a 10 pounder from there. Golf courses have some of the biggest bass I have seen. Go catch some pigs.
  19. This was my second day fishing the 8" Huddleston Deluxe Swimbait and I got to say I have so much confidence in this bait now. I heard that it takes a while to get your first bite so I didn't even want to throw it but I bit the bullet and said the hell with it. I was fishing a drop off which goes from like 1-2 feet almost straight down to 10-10 1/2 feet. I knew there would be a big one there because its the deepest part of the lake and the drop off is next to a spillway which has moving water and rocks all around the banks. Everything added up. Third cast at the spillway and I got it hung up on a floating branch from the most recent storm that had a tornado and about 70MPH winds and just pulled it off and waited till it hit the bottom. The water temp was 84.7 and lower at the spillway so it was also the coolest part of the lake. Partly cloudy, exactly 7:43pm. Rod: Okuma Guide Select Big Bait Rod, Reel: Lews Speed Spool, Line: Mainline 65# Power Pro Braid and 25# Berkley Big Game as a leader. It wasn't a giant but man was it fun getting that first hudd bite. I haven't posted in the fishing trip section in a while. Its not that I haven't been catching a lot of fish and some big ones I just didn't have the time to post. My Season is alright so far. Several 4+ and at least 90-100 bass so far. Not including some crappie bream and a 6 pound catfish. I'm going to go try the spillway again since we just had a good rain last night. Hope to get another one today. And here is one that I caught on a jig head with a custom skirt and a rage craw. Jigging trees in 5-7 foot of water. Had another one on and he jumped and shook loose at the boat.
