  1. I could do a google search and find quite a few examples that might be a little worse than PSI but I'll be good and leave this thread now. On second thought I have been having an ongoing discussion with my father about hall of game caliper baseball players of the past 10-15 years. His prediction is we will see more pitchers than hitters admitted due to the PED's. so no sport is without it's cheaters. This sounds like a bunch of sore losers to me though.
  2. This should get interesting. NY has instituted a new law where you can't take a picture of a fish out of season, yet the bucket brigade rolls on. You can try your best to be diplomatic but you can't fix stupid. Just try and take solace in the fact that there are many fish in the sea, lake, or pond.
  3. Domestic violence, murders, rapes, suicides, concussions, and drug abuse. The biggest problem in the NFL is soft balls?
  4. Whole thing at least boat, motor, and trailer. Look up the prices of new motors and you will understand. Let alone used two strokes.
  5. 95 white or translucent.
  6. Young man, you don't have to be a "pro" to fish what you want. Work hard, make and save some money and you can fish whatever you want. That said. Count me in for custom croix's and shimanos as well and you know what? That's what I fish now.
  7. You know those color blind tests with the dots and the numbers in them? I can't see a number in them to save my life. I once bought a rod I thought was silver. Turns out it was pink!!! Talk about mortified!!! Lol. I don't worry about it. In fact my color selection is pretty simple. White, green, black, and chartreuse. No need for fancy names or colors for me.
  8. Brain, I don't think there is a specific time on how long they should last. I only re-tie the leader when it's under 6-8 inches, they normally are 6-6 1/2 feet. The length of time could be anywhere from an after noon to a week over longer. I've been doing pretty good with a fluke and have had the same leader tied on for almost a week and a half. Keep practicing that knot. I will say I only use braid on spinning rods and a frog rod where I tie direct. It certainly might be possible that the weight of your lure combined with your casting motion May contribute to the weakening of the knot. Idk.
  9. There's a good lesson right there. Sometimes you have to strike while the iron is hot. I would narrow down exactly what you want and wait till you find a deal on something you know will work for you. It would stink to get a "great deal" and then realize it's not what you were looking for. Being a young man I would recommend an aluminum. Most likely a lot less headach$ I bought my boat from an 85 year old man that was liquidating some of his things and he could not find the title. States are different and I was lucky to have a friend that contracts for the dmv so he helped me take care of a new title and registration. Researching it on my own was a major headache. Good luck have fun and be safe!
  10. I think it's been brought up a few times is a 5 inch senko really a finesse bait? To me it's not.
  11. Personal opinion. Not a big fan of xf tips for senkos. The medium fasts feel a bit "sitffer" to me and when they grap that t rigged senko I like to stick it to them. I'd look at a 6'6 or 7' medium fast If we are talking senkos or any other t rigs over 1/4oz.
  12. To be honest. I don't think you will see much difference between the three in casting ability and lure/fish retrieval ability. Shimano reminds me of car companies. Do you want a honda or an Acura. They both do the same thing. One model might have a few more refinements than the other.
  13. If I were a betting man, I would imagine it would be similar to the new Jdm twinpower minus a few bearings and maybe a few other features.
  14. I'm not a fishing rod expert but I don't think graphite "gets tired" Maybe the rod is "slower" than newer rods you have? I'm still using a 5'6 light action Abu rod after 8 years. This rod has seen a lot of trolling work as well and it feels the same as when I first purchased it. I would only retire a rod if it broke and then it might see use as a reamer or sheath. I wouldn't put to much stock in im7 terminology. There was a member .RM (rip) that had a great post about modulus and rod terminology that I recently found in a google search. Here's the link. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/39534-st-croix-graphite/
  15. Hard to beat salt, fresh, mountains, small towns, big cities, and 4 seasons. Plus poisons snakes, hurricanes, tornadoes and other calamities are rare but taxes are a b^tch.
  16. This is my technique as well. Just installed some trailer guide ons as well which should make it even easier.
  17. Terrible. Sorry for your loss.
  18. I think I get what your saying. You want something in between the two parts of the seat? You can use cork, Eva, graphite, wood basically anything you want. I would suggest making it easy and extremely comfortable for your self and use a Tennessee grip.
  19. Could be different the diameters of the grip.
  20. If you have to worry about "wasting a trip" then don't go. If you don't than go fish.
  21. ^^^ Dwight and Crestliner. Your posts are so true. Last year they did the electro shock on the river pool I mainly fish. The scientist found that many sections of the river were devoid of fish and in others they found heavy concentrations of specific species.
  22. Depends crank/jerkbait 5-10 minutes. Tube 30 seconds at most
  23. I think it's funny when people complain about their off the shelf rods not being up to their standards. Like some guy in china gives a crap.
  24. I've seem some threads about adding weight to the butt of a rod lately. You also see the super light reels. I like to think of a rod as kind if a pendulum. Would it be better to have a light reel and add weight to the butt or a heavier reel and not add weight?
