  1. San Diego jam is a fine knot for fluorocarbon.
  2. Even after editing, they are are still boring and uneventful.IMO.
  3. I would have started an area with the whopper plopper , then fished it with a senko or a texas rigged worm. Slow is the way to go when it comes to summer time fishing.
  4. Since you are asking, I would go with a #297 Senko. Rigged weedless and weightless, that is a fish catching technique for sure. As bluebasser stated, the wacky rig has a very high hook up % so we really do need to know what your setup is.
  5. Senko;s, wacky or weightless. Should catch em all day.
  6. Try a San Diego jam knot, I use it with fluorocarbon all the time. No problems at all.
  7. I throw the Whopper Plopper with a TFO 6'9" med fast, rated 1/4 to 3/4. Absolutely no problem. You can use any lure within those ratings. Obviously some lures and techniques work better with heavier or lighter rods.
  8. Not offending me one bit. Most of the you tube sensations seem to be more concerned about the number of subscribers they have, than actual fishing info. The other day, one of them had the privilege to fish with Yamamoto on his ranch. This guy thinks he's a Senko guru, always telling people to use a 5/0 hook. First thing Gary tells him, better action with a 3/0. His reply, who knew!! A little research and he would have known!! The guy still uses a 5/0, even after being schooled by the master.
  9. I Love Louisiana Math, or is that lagniappe? Either way, five will getcha ten every time.(LOL)
  10. I pick up anglers litter every time I fish from the bank(fours times a week, weather permitting) I have plastic bags in my back pack. I'm in shock when I don't find litter, plus here in Michigan beer cans are worth ten cents. Talk about a bonus!!
  11. Another vote for red label, however that is solely based on my experience as a leader. All of my setups have braid for the main line.
  12. Switched all of my setups to the modified albright this week. Used the uni to uni previously.
  13. This info is what the master himself(Mr. Yamamoto) recommends. Med Lt to Med spinning rod, 15 lb braid with 10-15 lb fluorocarbon leader, 3/0 Owner twist lock hook on the 5". Use a swing set to set the hook. I use hi vis braid, this makes it easier to see the bite. If you are not line watching you are going to miss a lot of bites. Tons of info on the pinned senko thread, check it out.
  14. One of the keys of Bassin from the bank is moving from spot to spot. You have to find the fish, they don't find you. Fan cast an area and then move to the next. Fish where others are not. Get a practice plug and practice casting in the backyard or a park.
  15. I find that a tube of sun block helps to prevent sunburn during cloudy and blue bird conditions. Fish don't mind it either.
  16. Megastrike original and crawfish. Pro cure trophy Bass.
  17. I also have this rod, it's great for spinner baiting and skirted jigs, which is what I bought it for. Being land locked, spinning gear is the way to go IMO. I have it paired with an Okuma trio high speed. Can easily cast 30 yards.
  18. I totally avoid the carp commotion.
  19. Don't kid yourselves, plenty of people eat whatever they catch. Catch and release anglers IMO are in the minority. at least around my neck of the woods.
  20. No insight on the two you mentioned, however I will throw the Okuma Helios into the hat. I have three of the RTX 30s and love them. The Helios is the next step up.
  21. #20, #358, #912, and of course #297.
