  1. Any 6'10" Med Rod Quantum AC20PTI reel Five different color Senkos The Lagoons at City Park, New Orleans, La.
  2. I have seven different brands of senkos. Each of them have different fall rates and of course different durability. When I choose to use a different style of plastic I use Havoc or Big Bite Baits.
  3. San Diego jam for a couple of years now.
  4. The good ole weightless t-rigged Senko.
  5. Besides telling our ages, the best part of this thread is the fact that the half dollar is now considered fishing tackle. LOL
  6. I used run into these types all of the time. As a shore fisherman, it happens often. I made two changes this past season which made my fishing a lot more enjoyable. First I did most of my fishing early in the morning during the week and second my attire always consisted of a green shirt or jacket, camo hat and sunglasses. Seems a lot of people would mistake me for somebody else when I had on that attire.
  7. When I fan cast, I usually use three lures, two passes for each lure, each cast spaced about three feet apart. No success, time to move on.
  8. You can catch quantity and quality with a Senko style bait. It all depends on the conditions.
  9. In my opinion, you can only have one personal best per species. Your goal is to beat your personal best.
  10. When I'm bank fishing, I bring a 6'6", 6'10" and a 7'. The most versatile of the bunch would be the 6'6". If I'm fishing from a tight area, the shorter rod comes into play every time. For a bank fisherman who likes to make his or her own spots to fish from, I think the 6'6" would be the ticket.
  11. If I was in your situation, I would experiment with mono leaders first. Practice the different knots associated with tying leaders and do some fishing. If you are satisfied with the results you can continue using the mono, step up to fluorocarbon, or just go back to straight braid.
  12. Women are born nesters, that.s what they do!! Always keep that in the back of your mind, it's always about the nest!!
  13. How has my fishing progressed? Quite nicely, thanks for asking!! I owe all of my success to this site.
  14. No set time limit for me. As others have stated, working the area thoroughly is the key. Once I've done that I move to the next spot. I will say that most of the time I will make sure that I go to each spot at least twice if time permits. Often times the second time around with a different bait and or technique will catch fish.
  15. Abu and Berkley are both subsidiaries of Pure Fishing.
  16. Weightless t-rigged Senko, Spinnerbait, t-rigged worms.
  17. Nope. My tackle bag is a backpack. It goes wherever I go.
  18. No contest, Senkos over Yum Dingers. Dingers do not cast as far as Senkos for me. I use Owner twist locks for my weightless presentations, they still tear. As others have stated I glue them back with super glue and reuse them. I have had great success with Big Bite Baits/GanderMountains. IMO those would be a better alternative to Dingers.
  19. 5" Senkos and Culprit fat max.
  20. Calm water I'm throwing the trusty ole Senko, with the occasional lipless crankbait. Windy conditions and my spinnerbaits come out. For me, these next six to eight weeks will provide some of the best fishing of the year.
  21. I've caught my fair share of fish sight fishing from the bank. I'll throw a senko 5 to 10 feet away. If the fish slowly moves in that direction.....Game on!! As far as first arrival, if it's a body of water I've already been to, I will have some lures already tied and ready to cast. New water I check the conditions and area first.
