  1. Texas rigged worm or creature. 20lb braid with 10lb flouro leader.
  2. Just wanted to wish all the fathers and soon to be fathers a great day!! Getting my pops ready to go fishing right now. At 78 it takes him a little longer to get going so we are getting a late start. Which is just fine with me. Hope y'all have a great day with your kids and fathers.
  3. That would be one big political mess trying to get 50 states to agree on one set of rules for bass fishing.
  4. Young man, we are the ones who should be sending the gifts. I am honored that you are a member of this forum and hope to cross fishing paths with you one of these days. Be safe and tight lines!!
  5. It's a backpack for me. Large compartment has one plano spinnerbait box and a smaller box with cranks and jigs. Second compartment consists of a small soft sided cooler which contains 25 packs of plastic. My raincoat and three pocket sized planos for my hooks and terminal tackle. four additional pockets contain sunscreen, mosquito spray, first aid kit, tools and extra line. Water bottle in side carrier and my scents go in the outside gym bag thing. Two rods sometimes three and depending where I am going I will strap on a folding chair.
  6. If you haven't already done so I would change the hooks, and on the hook set make sure you use a sweeping motion. Also keep in mind fish do come off often, watch the pros and see how frustrated they get when it happens to them. As far as the same fish twice, I haven't a clue.
  7. Also try to stop the line just before it enters the water, this will help prevent a bow in the line on windy days. With a little practice you can stop the line and close the bail in an effortless motion be using your hand to do both. Some people will use the index finger of their casting hand to catch the line, then close the bail with the other hand. I prefer to do both with the same hand.
  8. Never mess with a momma and her babies while in the wild kingdom.
  9. Everybody has a right to know what the are eating, just label it.
  10. Fished that scenario this morning. Except it was 75 acres and a little deeper. Caught four bass, one sock, and a soccer ball. All on lipless cranks, except for the soccer ball, that was wind blown.LOL. I will do the same thing tomorrow, lipless, spinnerbait, and t-rigged worm.
  11. You did the right thing!!
  12. Just google bass lure companies. You will be amazed and you won't have to read the rest of the comments on what qualifies as a SMALL mom and pop company.
  13. I believe Roadwarrior wrote a bankfishing tip with senkos, which involves fan fishing(which can be used with just about any lure) and of course Bassresource has a video on bank fishing. Adapting the tips from those two has proved to be very beneficial in my bank fishing adventures. Check em out when you get a chance!
  14. Same setup as mine. Except I have a Black Strikeback tied on.
  15. I have clear fuel line on all of my spinner and buzzbaits. Even though I direct tie most of the time, if I am bank fishing I will tie on a snap in order to switch from spinnerbaits and crank baits. It is a more time efficient method for me. The fish certainly do not mind either.
  16. I use red label for my leaders only, use braid as my main line.
  17. They can keep the electronics, take away the practice days instead!!
  18. To answer your question, I have no idea who is cross branding their products, but considering the current retail environment. It's a safe bet that it is being done.
  19. Cobalt and CTS, not so much, Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra absolutely. They are made at the same plant, one right after the other.
  20. Some one didn't proof read their own article. They are fishing today, which is the third and final day of the tournament. Not your fault Glenn.
  21. Fiskar scissors work fine for me.
  22. I would have contacted megastrike about this problem. I'm sure they would take care of you. Posting on a forum without giving any company a chance to rectify the situation just isn't cool in my book.
  23. I never pass up a chance to throw a spinnerbait, doesn't matter what the conditions or time of day, I'm all in!!
