Have You Ever Liked A Brand So Much You Switched All Your Rods Over To Them?
I have all Abu rod's and reels. I feel like for the money Vendetta rods, and Revo reels are great catches. I will always purchase Abu reels because they feel good to me, I would like to some day replace all rods with St C's because I just love em and are awesome for the price.

One Worm....to Rule Them All!
Zoom trick worm, either size, also I like the Zoom shaky worm for its nice thin profile, has produced well for myself. I also really like the Zoom centipede for wacky rigging, I would drop shot, but I have no boat or kayak yet!!!!!!!!!><!<!<!<<<

1 Acre Pond With No Current
They are probably tied to whatever structure there is, or at the deepest coolest part of the pond. I would assume you have tried going to more of a finesse setup. Bass are not going to expend a great deal of energy right now than they have too, so give them something that looks like an easy meal. try a shaky head.

Tackle Bag Suggestions
I got a Plano tackle bag, the medium, the side pockets are tearing on the inside already, I have had this bag since late may. Will not buy another one of those. I would spend a little more and get something that will stand up better, maybe the tackle warehouse backpack, looks to me made well. but TBH, more and more I feel like just buying a good North Face or Columbia pack pack for what you need, and maybe a duffle for the boat would be the best because those companies make good products that last. At least in my experience with them.

Bass With Squishy Stomachs- Minnows Or Bluegill?
basslover, I think you are over complicating the whole process. Cut the bass open, see what is inside. but really, if you want to know what the predators are eating in an given body of water, you need to catch some of the prey fish. the bass are probably eating any type of smaller fish, bluegill, minnows, baby bass, catfish, anything else that it can catch and eat.

Bluegill Fishing
Wow, wish my dad was your dad. He has never taken me fishing, or anything outdoors. Thank goodness for my older brother, who taught me how to fish, hike, and everything out doors. Your approach to the whole situation is 100% the way to go about it, good post.

I've Gone Jig Crazy
I love jigs, the first jigs I ever fished in my life were just ball head jigs with curly tail grubs as a kid. Now I mostly use skirted jigs. I used to buy pre-made jigs all the time, but now I realize that you have many more options to satisfy your jib obsession if you just buy the bare heads and skirting material and make them yourself. Saves a lot of money and you are so much better able to create the color patterns you want. living in the north, i often find that most of the pre-made jigs do not always match what I am going for where I fish so it was a simple progression to me. I have also found that the more I dish shaky heads the more I am realizing that they are awesome I will however buy Northstar jigs when they have deals/sales or something awesome, they have always produced for me.

Colors And Baits For These Type Of Reservoirs
If the water is all really clear like that, do either two things. Match the bait with the bait fish that are in the area (color wise). Match the bait to the bottom of the body of water (color wise). Fish jigs in the cover, personally I would fish jigs just about everywhere But I would also fish some cranks shallow to deep around the drop offs, lip less cranks most likely. as far as the jigs go, I would fish normal skirted footballs as well as shaky head footballs if the bite is a little harder. if all else fails toss a wacky rigged senko

Question About Buying Skirt Material's...
I ordered off of TW, but being that my tackle monkey is an impatient one, I wanted to go out and buy it today and have it today

Question About Buying Skirt Material's...
Thanks, I figured as much.

Question About Buying Skirt Material's...
I am going to start making my own jig skirts, for the obvious reasons, and I have a order set and ready to buy from TW. But before I just the Material, tools and other things, I wanted to know if either Dicks, or Gander Mnt. sells these supplies. I can not check here at work on the internet, and I wont be able to phone, or go to the store for a while really. So any insight is good, thanks.

Questions For The Biology 'experts'
What you described is pretty much it to a T. I have been bass fishing since 8, im going to be 29 this year. First one of these I have seen. I fish other species as well, so I would call myself an angler, rather than just a bass fisherman. Thanks for the replys, but the post above nailed it really.

What Bait To Use?
Since the heat I have been tossing shaky heads with a lot of luck, I guess the bass where I fish are looking for something smaller and with more action. I would try in these orders. trimmed down swim jig, hopped or pulled through the grass, choice due to head style. shaky(round) head with zoom shaky worm, green or brown w/ or w/o flake shallow crank, or lipless fished over/around the area.

Questions For The Biology 'experts'
Tried again in the same location, no luck. Will try again today. Was defiantly not a bowfin, walleye, saugeye or anything else except a LMB. I am sure it is some type of genetic issue, but the length to weight ratio was so off and the jaw shape just made me wonder. when/if I bag her again I will update this post with pictures.

Defiantly not a walleye, not at this little place.

Questions For The Biology 'experts'
That is what I was thinking myself, and I was fumbling around last night trying to get my phone out of my pocket and couldn't, I did not want the fish to die, so I tossed her back. the pond is not large, and my chances of catching this fish again and pretty good and I already have my camera by in the tackle bag. Never seen a bass like this, been fishing since I was 8 lol.

Questions For The Biology 'experts'
Was fishing in a local pond that has a trout tourney every year which I have never fished, but they stock it with a large amount. A month or so after that you will see the last few washed up dead. Last night I was messing around a little just tossing a shaky head in and around brush and overhangs and caught a bass that looked to me like a cross between a trout and a LMB. Sorry to pictures, I wasn't expecting anything as I was so close to home and wasn't being to serious (always the case eh?) The fish way maybe 2.5 LBS tops, but was about 18 inches long, slender and overall trout body shaped, had a very long face and mouth, the bottom jaw was elongated and pointed and overall had a trout look to it. You could tell it was a LMB by the color and obvious mouth size. Also the teeth were much more pronounced. So, anyone with a clue maybe? I did some light searches and turned up nothing. I will attempt to re-catch this fish and snap some pictures.

Senko Fishin
I have been catching them on wacky rigged zoom centipedes. Senko's are great, but wacky rig just about anything and you'll get bites it seems.

Is It Slow In Your Area Right Now
Where I fish is slow, but I can still catch enough to make me happy. Not have a boat/kayak really sets me back fishing wise, but that will change soon, and so will the numbers of caught fish

Looking For A Replacement Part
Thanks, will do

Looking For A Replacement Part
Before I go directly to Abu, just wanted to know if anyone has any other places they go to get replacement parts. Seems the little black screw knob that controlled the drag on my Black Max reel fell off, and now I am without it, while it worked fine for a while I had to respool and now I need a new knob. I know for 50 bucks it would be easier to just buy a new reel, esp. now that the Revo Gen 2's are on sale, I just might. I also do not want to get punched in the face buying a new reel when I should be spending more money on my up and coming wedding So any tips are welcome, thanks.
