  1. I dont know TBH. I found it in an old tacklebox my brother had given me. It is balsa and looks to be hand painted. The bill says japan on it, same size as a rapala og floater. I know it is old, and has been in my family, probably my grandpas, have not really found a lead on what it might be. I am thinking a knockoff perhaps but not sure.
  2. I dont normally use cranks but when I do I will toss something that is either silver, shad, perch, gold. I have one fire tiger jointed rapala that I have never even used.....and dont even know what I would use it for haha.. I like jigs.....cranks are still a mystery!
  3. I think it is kind of funny, just like how LMG is always talking about Shimano. What is, is, and what is not, is not. Sometimes you just have to laugh and remember the internetz isnt serious business.
  4. love those hooks...look awesome to me!!
  5. Your fishing tomorrow.... I hate you! Good luck! Welcome.
  6. Favorite ever: Pearl Jam in 2003 (i think) I just saw Candlebox at Peabodys in Cleveland last tuesday for 17 dollars....was a freaking kick arse show!!!!!! My wife even loved it. They played their first album entirely and some extras. Neil Young was ok around 2006/7....
  7. I am not a doctor, but I am going to school to be one. You wouldn't have had hypothermia from being outside in over 50 degree weather. Unless you dunked yourself in the water and went into a freezer for a long while. If the water was sub 40 degrees and you decided to go for a long swim (10 mins or so) you would have issues. I am not saying 100% you did not have hypothermia, but if you do some basic research (mayo clinic website) you will see that you wouldn't have ever gotten it from being outside and sweating in 60 degree air temps. sounds to me like you may be sick, no matter what is going on with you, I doubt it would be hypothermia, maybe if anything some exhaustion from kayaking all day, plus being dehydrated and under fed. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hypothermia/DS00333
  8. You are no so limited to where you want to go, a lot of people kayak fish in the ocean, and out pretty far. It is all in what you feel comfortable doing. I personally would look for a used, rigged sit on top kayak from CL
  9. Regular PP, I am trying 832 in 10# on my spinner gear this year in white only because I got it 1/2 off....hard to pass that up!
  10. FWIW, some of my biggest fish have come at night with a buzz bait fished around shallower waters.
  11. If I wasn't so stoked to try this I would sell it to you. I have heard from a few people already that they love that bait a lot. The color isnt something that I would buy, but I am sure it will catch something, if I have no luck I will just ship it to you man.
  12. this is most defiantly made of balsa.
  13. TW is awesome. I will only buy rods online that I have handled in the store. Usually the online price us cheaper than the store even with shipping...
  14. here is a little insight. the shaky head worms I use are really on the smaller light end, you want to use things like the Whip Tail (forgot the maker but if you want to know I can search my tackle) and the Zoom Shaky worm, this worm rocks and comes in two sizes, both work awesome. What I look for in a shaky worm, since it is a FINESSE presentation, is something with a fat 'body' and a "whip tail", these work the best to float the tail up. I fish these all the time and these styles of worms produce the best overall for me
  15. yeah they are for sure 7's Thanks, my idea of fishing cranks is just to cast and yo yo, it is nice to hear some tips on these. aside from lipless I have next to no experiences with other styles. jigs and plastics all day, cranks always were a novelty to me......they seem so technical.....probably how a lot of people view what i fish
  16. They look just like the shad raps on the TW page, so that is what I wrote them down as, glad I found all these. I do not usually fish cranks, and now that I have some good choices for the 3'-11' ranges I will have to try is out.
  17. I like to use small shaky heads the highest I will go will be the 1/4. The Zeineth from Seibert is awesome you should check them
  18. Pictures. Q's: Are the 'deep divers' todays 'shad raps' / anyone know if that 'floater' is any certain type or just some knock off, says 'japan' on the bill, and is old... Maybe it is my ignorance, I dont own any Shad Raps, so maybe the Shad Rap bill really says 'deep diver' on it....
  19. Tell me about it, I don't do this, and the guys In-House are not normally the culprits, but the drivers......they have done some stuff to packages that makes me scared to order stuff and get it shipped. TBH, a fragile sticker is like a bullseye to a lot of the guys that work for them. Most of the guys make 8.50-9.50 an hour and are not usually upstanding citizens if you know what I mean. I know how I want my things treated
  20. Found an old tackle box that someone gave me when I was around 8. There is a lot of older cranks in there, 3 Rapala Deep Divers...which are I think are now the Shad Raps...can anyone confirm this? Also some old Bagley's Diving Killer B-II's and FAT CAT's and more Rapala baits, definitely from between '85-'95 There is also a super old balsa Rapala Floater look-a-like, it has japan on the plastic lip, is hand painted, black top silver middle, creamy white bottle, with a red V on the underside of the head. Any clues?
  21. THere is a guy on this site catching bass with bottle caps and treble hooks, I think this has as good of a chance........
  22. Order some rods and reels, never had an issue. However, they could pack the rods better then they do. Bubble wrap on the tips isnt going to cut it, I work at UPS I know how the packages get handled, and trust me, these tubes get launched like footballs.
  23. You should really find out about becoming a Shimano rep, you toss out so many free plugs it is time you get paid
  24. oh yeah and when you are looking at spending money, take whatever the boat costs and add 500 dollars, for paddle, PDF, stickers, extras you will want/need (fish finder, rigging etc) 500 could be conservative, and it can EASILY become 1000
