  1. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Pro-Qualifier-Tournament-Rod-and-Reel-Baitcast-Combos/product/1210200646593/ This would be a better combo for 100 dollars in my opinion. Not so much the rod, more the reel. They are sold out but maybe call BP and see if they will be getting any more.
  2. I've got Strike King, Xcaliber, H2O Academy Brand and some Clunns that are silent. In all honesty, most of them were purchased by mistake and not looking at the package when I bought them. They are usually in the bargon bin
  3. They come in both silent and with rattles. The majority of mine have rattles. Silent models are just something different to throw. They tend to not scare some finicky bass off.
  4. This!!!I use those and Subwoofers. I bite some of the head off, spit all over the ground wondering why I just did that when I have 2 knives on me, and thread it on the jig! I only fish North Stars too!
  5. I'm running a 7'1" H Gloomis GL2. I don't run any heavier than 1/2 oz, but it handles them with ease
  6. Welcome. Thank God your not an Iowa State fan lol
  7. Marry a nurse and she will bring home gobs of those things everyday from work
  8. List them how you would want to buy them say you were browsing the classifieds. All the details. Size, color, brand etc. Don't charge an arm and a leg. Factor in the cost of shipping with the price of the baits. Don't charge extra for shipping. You can fit about 5-6 bags of plastics in a flat rate small Priority Box for around 5 bucks. The more they buy, the better the savings. For me, when I buy plastics, I want a good deal if I'm going to buy them 2nd hand. If I'm only saving a few bucks on them, I'd rather go to a major retailer and buy them. I have a guarantee that if they are messed up or dried out etc, I can exchange them. Plus at most places I get reward points for buying them. Just some food for thought!
  9. I have a couple that I will throw when I'm running cranks and its a pressured pond or lake. I also use then in clear water when it's cold and they are slow and picky. The silent tends to not scare them off.
  10. I know on the lipless cranks it matters some. Sometimes a bit of blue is all I can get bit on. That said I only have a few of the chrome blue. I get my hits on them swimming the crank and just stopping, letting it drop to the bottom and ripping it straight up. It think in that case the blue comes into play
  11. Man for that price, I'd jump all over it!
  12. I usually 9 out of 10 times don't run a trailer. Just a trailer hook. The blades beef up the profile making for more of a reaction strike than one that we have to generate ourselves. That said, on a small 1/4 oz spinnerbait, if I want something different and the blades are small, I will on occasions run a small 3" tube on them so I can fill the tube with scent
  13. I got to play with on the other day in premo shape. Guy wont part with it due to catching is PB on it. Long story, it feels just like my Chronarch E only green. I really enjoy my Curado G's and they can be had all over. For the price I can't see spending it at all. Unless its just the "coolness" of owning one.
  14. If you go with the Winch (parabolic action) ripping hooks out is not a major problem.
  15. The GL2's have the wild card too
  16. Your gonna love em bud. The quality is great.
  17. Your not helping my wallet come next sale man lol
  18. Which one? One of the guys I work with, works PT in the golf section at the Dicks on Penn. he was telling me they had a crap load of stuff stocked for the classic.
  19. One of North Stars Pro Staff guys swears by that jig. I've never used it, but it's on my next order
