  1. The 110 doesn't need a super stout rod. I use my walking bait rod 6ft 6 M/F 20lb. braid.
  2. It kinda looks like they tried to knock off a little creeper and failed. In the swimbait world everybody gets copied. On Table Rock the Keitech/Rage Swimmer seems to work the best this time of year. There will be a time for the Bass trix/Zoom Swimmer/ Scottsboro.
  3. I have used it for years on ned rig and shakey head rods. The stuff is really good and cheap. As to who makes it, I couldn't say but it handles better than my old stand by 5lb. Maxima,
  4. I personally throw a medium heavy /moderate.. But if it works for you then its all good.
  5. Depending on your budget, The Witch Doctor Surman 50 G is really good for blade baits or really most moving baits .
  6. Wrong about ? He doesn't fish only the Cara anymore than Hallman fishes only the Expert.
  7. There's no chance any of the Falcon guys fish only the Experts. I think I would wait until the new Cara is actually released to judge how it stacks up. The Cara will be the top of the rod again . It will be interesting to see where it comes in price wise, I'd guess under $400. If it comes in up against the KLX/H3 it could be a tough sell. There's some guy named McClelland who lives down the road a piece that has been known to have a few Falcons laying around
  8. And that's the pic that threw me, it looks to me like the line dog legs down to the Twing, In Mass Yaks pic it's obvious he's right.. I wish it would be the last time I was wrong but it's not gonna happen... Nothing personal
  9. Just walked down to the dock to look in the boat... Yep your right.. Was fun though
  10. Trust me I'm wondering also. All you've done is post a pic of a reel I've owned a half dozen of.
  11. oh I forgot..your the expert
  12. I was gonna tell you the same ..
  13. If your saying it goes over the pin at the top you might want to look again. If your talking about the pin below the t wing then of course it goes over the top A wheelbarrow probably has too many moving parts for you..
  14. I don't think casting distance one way or the other is the judge of right or wrong.. Are you saying you measured it both ways ?
  15. Yep, The 3rd pic of the "correct" way shows why it should be under. The line then has a straight shot from the spool through the T wing. If the line contacts anything between the spool and the guide it's wrong. But hey, I'll spool em my way someone else can spool as they please.
  16. It goes under Look at the pic at the upper right.. whatever hammer
  17. Looks like 2 different reels. The one in the pic the poster has looks like the pin is above the T wing. In the pic Evo put up it looks like its below. There has been several different models of Tatulas, Maybe the pin is different ? There is a difference between that pin and the pawl the Twing is mounted to.
  18. Heck, Call Daiwa USA customer support
  19. Under, The line should be in the slot of the T wing not rubbing the top of it. The line comes off the spool and directly through the T wing not rubbing back and forth across that pin.
  20. The legend elite is a better build in general. Sensitivity wise your really splitting hairs, One won't catch a fish the other wouldn't have. There is also some deals to be had on last years xtreme. Some folks don't care for the handle but I like it I personally never could never love the 85 inch NRX but I did like the 853 more so than the 854.
  21. What about the Falcon ? I have the Ark as well and they are a decent rod for the money. I got mine at Okeechobee tackle but looks like TW is also selling them now.
  22. Loads differently ? The amastad is his go to regardless of what ?
  23. I don't think the Expert is the rod the the Cara was but it was never intended to be, It's a solid mid tier rod. They got off to a slow start and drove the prices of the Cara's on the secondary market up, I personally sold 7. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Cara replacement at ICAST .
