Shorty Rod For Pitching?
3/8 -1/2 The head turner would be perfect.

Shorty Rod For Pitching?
I like the head turner as well. It's really just a more powerful version of the finesse jig (Eakins) rod. It also makes a good spinnerbait/buzzbait rod and even bigger walking baits. I think they fish pretty close to the power rating but tend to be more parabolic than some.

Casting Rod for Topwater
I throw all the baits you mentioned on a Witch Doctor Surman 50G. 6ft10 MH. Works great for the WP, Vixen , Spook jr. even the Mega Dawg. I throw Yellow Magic poppers, usually in the 1/2 oz. Also Buzzbaits and spinnerbaits. Super versatile rod.

New G. Loomis E6X 783C MBR 6’6” best sensitive rod under $200?
I would choose the Zodias over the E6X. It's a significant upgrade for about the same money.

Swimbait Reels?
I have the Tranx 300 also. Outstanding reel, Once its mounted on the rod it really doesn't feel much bigger than a Curado 200

Magnum Spoons - Tried them?
I've lost a few, but usually if you get right over the top of it and bounce it gently it will come loose. If it gets stuck in a stall with a boat in it you have a problem but it's just part of the game. They jump it on the fall pretty often .Dragging them through the boat lift and over that piece of galvanized pipe that ties the dock together is the hard part.

Magnum Spoons - Tried them?
I used the R2S James Watson worldwide spoon.a lot this year. It's not as big as some but I had success with it pitching into boat stalls and around lifts. The worldwide will dart away from the pitch which works great under walkways . I don't care for swivels on spoons in general, I think the fish like to see them spin.

Splitshot Rig Baits
Either the Fish DR. or Centipede.

Wiggle wart Questions
I have more pre Rapala wiggle warts than I will ever use but some new baits have kind of changed the way I fish. When they first start to move up and the water cools to around 55 degrees or so the RK crawler is probably a little better option down to around 50 or so . Then the wart or the curve 55 once it's down to about 42° I put the wart away .They have a cult following for a reason.

Where to trade in rods/reels?
I've always had great service from American Legacy .

Jerkbait rod what to use?
The Falcon weightless worm rod makes as good of a stickbait rod as I've ever used. The Cara McClelland signature and jerkbait special are both really good also. I also like the Witch Doctor Surman 50G. The MH is a little tight for lighter baits but for the 11O or McStick its about perfect, its a blended blank. I like 8 or 10lb. Maxima mono.

Jackplate advice
Unless its a hydraulic plate ,drive it just like a boat without one. Tuck it in to get it to break over and trim up from there. When you find the sweet spot ,remember where it is on the trim gauge for reference and you'll have a idea of where to go to. That's a easy boat to drive. You shouldn't have any issues at all.

Old School Wakebaits
The Red fin has always been popular around here. You have to go through a few to get a good one but they still work. I never had a lot of luck heating the bills, 2 or 3 suspend dots behind the joint and a feathered treble on the back is about the best recipe and still some never wake right. Guard the ones that do. I like smokey Joe and blue or black and chrome.

Gene Larew
I like the Biffle bug, Hoo daddy and the salt craw.. I remember when Mr. Larew owned the Shadrack Resort and guided on Table Rock. Some of those first plastics looked like they had rock salt in them but he invented a way to inject salt in plastics and others copied it and it ended up in court. If memory serves he passed away in the mid 80's but the old place is still there. The name got bought and moved to Tulsa but I'm glad it's still around.

Your Ideal Football Jig Rod ?
For up to 1/2 the Cara swimjig rod is really good. The finesse jig (old Eakins ) rod is also good but 3/8 is as heavy as I would go on it. It's also a shorter rod if you like that, but I personally don't think the extra length is ever a bad thing when it comes to dragging anything.

Your Ideal Football Jig Rod ?
For 3/8 to 1/2 ounce football heads the Falcon Cara Mike McClelland signature swim jig rod. For 1/2 to 3/4 oz. The Cara Amistad both on12lb. Sniper. I also have a NRX 894 but I prefer the action of the Falcons, a bit slower and plenty sensitive.

Jerkbait line
8lb.Maxima

Bottom contact rod
The Zodias is plenty sensitive. I don't think anything in that price range is going to be noticeably better. The Champion Xp has some great actions in the line up but sensitivity wise it's no better ,and maybe not as good as the Zodias .

Nrx/glx 853c
If your talking about the NRX either of the 3 powers, 853 or 893 are plenty for a 3/8 oz jig. I've fished 5/16-3/8 oz. finesse jigs on the 803 without any issues and to me it fishes softer than the 853. Personally, if I were looking for more of a moving bait rod vs bottom contact I'd look to the 843/844 GLX. The MBR is more of a all purpose taper than the JWR.

"Table Rock" Soft Plastic Color ?
The original Table Rock shad color was invented by Tim Hughes who lives here in Reeds Spring. He Painted a lot of stickbaits that color which is basically chartreuse sides and a purple back. I still have a Rogue he painted probably 20 years ago. There's been a ton of money won on that color. He also came up with norman flake which is another great local color and its available on the Spro Mcstick. Now Megabass has a version as does Lucky craft ect. Anything with some purple in it is good around here. As to a shakey head worm I fish mostly green pumpkin or watermelon red with some chartreuse dye on the tail. The Chompers brown/purple laminate is popular also, but more as a drop shot worm.
