Got this Lew Childre reel. Need some knowledge!
I would think late 70`s to early 80`s. Those old BB1`s were made by several different vendors, Shimano and Ryobi for sure and possibly a 3rd. They stayed popular as a crankbaits reel for awhile even after more modern reels were on the market. They also had a spinning reel about that same time that was a rebadged Abu cardinal.

Tips for trip to Table Rock
I think we are getting the usual September funk a bit early. They will bite the big worm some up the river and the spoon bite has been, or was pretty consistent. It's hard to pattern Table Rock day to day so a month out is pretty much impossible. As was said keep, a eye on Ozark Anglers and the reports. You may consider hiring a guide.

Table Rock help
Around state park is probably your best bet.. I don't know about moonshine just on the other side of the Dam.. They have a swimming area not sure if there's fishing access or not. Cooper creek on Taneycomo has a public area with a fishing dock that's nice also if you want to try for trout.

Ranger or Skeeter
It's pretty tough to find a bad boat these days. I ran Champions and Rangers for years and now a Triton. All great boats. I'd look at the new Charger/Champion elite 210 also. I personally never liked the trolling motor pedal location that Bass Cat uses, always made me feel like I was walking the plank. As was said, buy one that you can get serviced close by.

School Me On Top Water Poppers ?
The original Pop R P70 is probably as good as it gets but the prices are getting crazy. Next to that, I really like the Yellow Magic in the magnum size. It casts well and has a great action. I've probably caught better quality topwater fish on it over the years than a spook, plopper ect.

Top water rod thought please
I'm a fan of the old All Star Zell Rowland TWS as well. They aren't easy to come by but they are out there. They bring a lot more than I paid for mine 20 years ago but they are as good as anything made today.

Spike it questions
That's why I went to the Zoom Markers, But when I used it I'd do the same as AJ.

Bed fishing lures
Anything white so I can see it.. I'm not a big fan of bed fishing either.

1/2oz over 3/8oz for burning spinnerbaits?
I like to throw whatever blade matches the size on the bait.. In general,on Table Rock in the clear water I throw either a 1/4oz or the war eagle screamin eagle which is a 1/2 oz bait on a 1/4 oz. frame . If the water gets really dirty I go to a painted blade. The screamin eagle burns as well as any.

Line for crankbaits
8 or 10lb. Invisx mostly.. If you want to save some money the K9 fluoro is really good and reasonable at 14.99 for 300 yds.

Whopper Plopper 90 / 110 Set Up ?
16lb. mono on either of my walking bait rods. My new favorite is a Witch Doctor Surman 50g.. Great walking bait rod or 110 Plopper. I know a guide here on Table Rock who has his clients throw the 90 on a spinning rod... for the safety of everybody on the boat.

Rod question
For me, either one is too long to make a good topwater rod if your thinking of walking baits or poppers. One of the best walking bait, spinnerbait, buzzbait and chatterbait rods out there right now is the Witch Doctor Surman 50G. Just a great reaction bait rod and cheaper than the Dobyns.

Best tube jig/rig for bedding LM?
I don't think the bait matters much as long as I can see it. Something white, either tube, lizard or a creature of some kind. I like to rig it like a drop shot as well.

No Love For Spoons?
One of my favorite ways to fish.. Love the summer time dock bite with the Dixie jet slab spoon.. Pitch it under the walk ways and around the boat lifts . The flutter spoon is more of a post spawn suspended fish deal for me. I like to cut the swivel off the slab spoons. It will twist the line and it has to be changed or cut back every day but the fish love to see it spin.

Wiggle warts in the summer?
I put the wart away once the water gets to be 60 degrees or so. There seems to be a time where they will get off the wart and on a deeper bulkier bait like a deep little N ,but it doesn't last long. Post spawn, I either throw a squarebill if I can get them up shallow or a 5 or 6XD , DD22 ect. usually around mid June. That's not to say they wouldn't chase a wart or RK but I think there are better options.

Rod length for topwater fishing
Personally I would never fish one over 7 ft. My favorite walking bait rod is a Witch Doctor Surman 50G. It's 6ft 10 and fits me just about right. For the yellow magic and smaller 2 hook baits I have a old All Star Zell Rowland TWS that's 6ft 8.

Dobyns DX 742SF vs 702SF vs G. Loomis GLX, Tubes, Ned, Dropshot, River Smallies
For everything you describe I use the GLX 782 SJR. Just a outstanding Ned, Shakey head and tube rod .I also scrub a 2.8 keitech or grub with it. I use it with 6lb. sniper.

Glass cranking question
For diving baits in that range 8 or 10 lb. Invisx. It has a some stretch and casts well. I use Sniper or Shooter for everything else but that stuff makes a great line for crankbaits.

Copoly Line for Jig & Texas Rig
On the rods I don't have Flouro on I use McCoy mean green. I think it handles better than Yozuri or CXX .
-
Shimano Zodias Spinning
I fished the ML as a ned rig rod for a year or so. The Zodias is a great blank but I never did care for the reel seat on the spinning rods.
-
Buzz bait
If a have to buy them at the store I'd go with Cavitron or Crock o gator as well.. The best way to get them to cast well is to replace the skirt with a toad or add one with the skirt. They will bite it just the same and it makes things much easier when the wind is blowing. I think the bait planes better with a toad also.

Jack plate issue
Usually about 3.5 inches from the prop shaft to the bottom of the pad is about right for mine but I'm sure all are going to vary some depending on the HP, prop ect. But man, a manual to get into shallow water is way more work than I would want .
