  2. hi all we all started fishing at a young age I earned my money mowing grass selling night crawlers doing odd jobs selling crab apples I got from a neighbors orchard my dad on occasion would buy me new tackle like the "holiday" spincast reel and fiberglass rod how did you earn money back in the day to get your stuff?   3. Hey a double buzz caught the present record i know when I call for miss piggy I wait for a cloudy overcast day a little windy and i throw my black and blue lunker lure buzzbait I've caught some of my biggest bass on a buzzbait all on lakes less than 200 acres. Junebugman

Another place is the Snake river east of pine city mn most of it you dont need a guide just read up on stream smally fishing get some old sneakers a good spinning rod and reel I've caught them 20 inches and over out of there plus bonus muskies walleye northern and panfish too! The St Croix river between danbury wisc and grantsburg get up to and over 5lbs in there
  5. I bought a Emotion pro angler 11.8 I'm 6.1 280 it doesnt feel tippy in the least! It has the 3 position padded seat thats adjustable I never feel unsafe when I'm on the water. I paid 579 on sale they are 799 regularly now I can fish the "no landing" lakes. Junebugman p.s. they have a 5 yr warranty too
  6. I have a loomis mossyback 6.8 and a st .croix legend extreme 7ft both spinning with small cranks worms etc for live bait with circle hooks only a skeet reese 7ft 2inch senko spinning with quantum reel.

  10. Hello all this is this first year since 2001 that I havent had a per se "bass boat" I. Am going to try a kayak and see if I like that there's tons of small lakes around here less than 200 acres I'm getting excited already! I'm sure it will be weird for a bit I know a few guys who are thinking of getting one also who have bigger boats now see you on the water. Junebugman

  12. hi all I recently got a job as a detailer at a very busy boat and atv store In trego wisconsin I was given a like new evinrude trolling motor its got a bent shaft and it works like new looks like new too its got 3 speeds a pretty big prop 12 volt its going on my 14 ft deep starcraft with 20 hp merc should work good.   14. Geez isnt it fast enough! I always get a kick out of these big boats that go 70mph etc how fast is fast? I'd spend the money on tackle etc or GAS you'll need it lol
  15. Well its just about time for the fall migration of the feisty smallmouth bass well i'll be waiting for em' lol has anyone else on here ever try it? I have trying to scrounge up some redtails might have found a guy that has some! Well hope to see someone from here on the river I have a tracker txs with a 60 merc.   17. I have caught some of my biggest bass on spinning tackle a 23.5" over 7.0 lbs on 6 lb berkley xt I use spinning exclusively for drop shotting and a lot of worming if under 6 inches my worms are. Junebugman

If you're going to get a loan I would get the best accessories ie bigger trolling motor a big enough main motor so you won't have to buy another in a few years I had a 18.5 ft skeeter that I could kick myself for selling but had it maxed for a motor etc if its used have a reputable marina check it out first!   20. well I went I saw and I bought got a legend tournament 7.5 lite flippin pitching rod for 50.00. And a Rage 6ft10 medium xf spinning for drop shotting 30.00 neither one is hardly missing any of tips etc just the legend tourneys cork is a little dirty I will clean it up with some toothpaste not a bad trip I say.   21. Always tough choosing which rod to buy does it have to be "species" specific? Those fenwicks were great rods I had a 7ft medium lite sold a boat the guy wanted ghe rod too! Oh well with the myriad of piscatorial catchers out there good luck just remember bring your reel when you get your rod. Oh! For the money I love the skeet reese rods! Junebugman

I know the area east of you the lakes by park rapids etc would be fine I had a 18 ft starfire 176 bassboat I never had an issue with wind waves etc just use common sense by the way you have to try tulaby little elbow long lost and especially pike lake oh juggler too its smallmouth nirvana!!! You won't have any problems with a 18 ft bass boat or 17.5 for that matter good luck! Junebugman
  25. I always check the kelley blue book nada is a joke! Always hills and valleys lower in value check and see what similiar boats are selling for on clist and go from there. Junebugman
