New Fishing Shoes???
No, its way better than just being barefoot. After you buy them your wallet will be so much lighter you won't have as much weight to carry when you walk around as before JK

Eastern Sports and Outdoors Show
X2 May catch the shuttle over from BPS though so at least if I strike out at the show I can find something to appease Bait Monkey back at BPS ;D

Buying question
A single endorsement doesn't mean anything to me. Though if I see a particular bait has performed well at multiple events and has praise from multiple tournament contestants while on the stage, then that has some pull with me.

bass with big teeth
I'd first suspect it was an issue with cover abrading/nicking the line then the weaken line breaks on the hook set. Try retying often by cutting off the last 12" -18" of your line. If you don't already, make sure you thoroughly moisten the line/knot before tightening. What type of knot are you using? What power/action rod are you using? Are you using braid with a floro leader? A lot of variables could be compounding the issue.

Sonars takin the fun out the hunt?
I don't believe current technology takes the fun out of searching for/finding fish. It is still a plenty of challenge to locate bass (not just fish) especially on larger deep lakes/reservoirs and then put those fish in the boat. I do fear the day that technology gets so advanced it does take the fun and skill out of fishing. I don't know if we'll get there in my life time but I could see it happening eventually.

X2 Best rate I've found and "disappearing deductible" is a bonus.

Just for fun fishing tourney in PA
Yeah it can get tough there but I almost always manage at least a few bites. And sometimes you can really get on them, I've had some great days there. It is a really neat lake because though it is relatively small it has a lot of different habitat types and different types of areas to fish.

NEW FISH FISHBURNE SHOW
At least Charlie's wife was in the show every once in awhile and on the commercial in the swim suit where he "caught" her top. (and who doesn't like Chuck Whoolery?) Though, now that I think of it, I'm not sure how many super models it would take to help Fish's show enough to be watchable.

Bass Pro Spring Classic Flyer?
When you get older your wife will do the same thing. Haha! Jason Jason you must have an awfully nice wife. My wife shows me the flyer then says, "There are some great deals in there.... Too bad I already spent all your money and then some, muh, ha,ha, haaaaa!!!!!" ;D

Seaguar Lines?
X2 I used both the red label and the INVISX some toward the end of last season. Still can't decide which I like best so I may keep using both till I figure that out. Was using Red Label in 15+ # for flipping/pitchin and InvisX in 12- # for most else. It worked well so maybe I'll stick with that system

decent crankbait reel
I like the Quantum Energy 5.4:1 JM.02

Are you the type......
1a. But its constantly evolving. I wouldn't go out and buy all new rigs/gear at once. It would happen over time depending on what the item is and it's cost. Just when I get everything phased into the new tech, another new tech comes along and.....here I go again ;D

What to do with old reels?
I have at least one rigged up on an old rod all the time for practicing pichin/flippin in the "off season" when I can't get out. This helped me learn to cast with either hand without wasting precious time on the water, not to mention helped my accuracy. I'll have one on an old flippin stick for use outside and one on a 5'6" rod I can practice with inside the house without hitting the ceiling. The others I keep as back-ups or pass them on to my kids. I used to buy all different brands but now I try to stick with same brand and model if possible. That way I can scrap parts off an old one to keep another one working.

Curwensville is another option. Unlimited HP but small enough for smaller boats. Lake has good numbers of SM and LM. Much less boat traffic on average than Sayers too. There is a launch fee of $5 though.

Thought I'd stop in to say hi and
Just what I needed, another kick in the boys after the "Stillers" lost yesterday. At least the weatherman expects us to get another half foot of snow tonight :'(

What are 5'6" rods used for?
I put Zebco 33's on a couple old 5'6" rods I had from the 80's/90's and give them to my kids to use. I just hate the grip and lack of leverage. It feels too different for me from my other baitcast outfits. JMHO.

Blue Saphirre
I like them in stained to muddy water and/or when I'm imitating bluegills.

auto inflatable PFD's (for bigger guys)
I have one of the Mustang HIT's. I"m not sure about the actual size issue but it does have a soft lining that is comfortable next to the neck area.

What is your favorite type of grass to fish

NEW FISH FISHBURNE SHOW
Watched some of the show for the first time on Saturday. My 8 year old daughter, who was in the room at the time, thought it was too childish!!!

Bounce Buster......worth it?
So you misplaced the strap that was included with the motor or you don't want to loosen the mounting bolts it to install the original strap? I have a Fortrex and never had a problem. Strap is always unhooked when the boats on the water, even for long rough runs. I do strap it down when trailering.

Former Sweet Spot
"emerald green" water? I'm thinking fertilizer run-off caused an algae bloom, often seen as a green tint. Once the algae starts to die and decay it uses much of the available oxygen during the process. This can, at best, cause fish to be difficult to catch due to stress and at worst can kill the entire fish population due to lack of oxygen. :'( If all the homes around the pond have lush green, weed free grass, that is a pretty good indicator that run off is a factor.
