  7. Finally put something together today, caught 15# in six mile, dad with his biggest of the year...
  8. Biggest I caught in six mile. Six mile pb. Carolina rig senko 22 ft of water.....fish almost knocked the rod out of my hands. Water was 60 to 62 In a few places
  9. oh and look up the percentage triangle......
  10. i would start at this point and work my way north and east n: 31.26.02.32 w:93.36.55.22
  11. i would personally fish negreet/brushy bay. it is where the biggest river arm empties and runs into what looks like the biggest spawning flats and the fish have access to deeper water.......start deep and work shallower as the sun warms the water up.....
  12. negreet.... okay hold on
  13. let me read back and ill break it down for you.....
  14. no bass fisherman is going to give you coords. there is a certain sense of pride when it comes to fishing nick..... the best you are going to do is an area. and find them for yourself, maybe even get a few pointers on lure selection. read through the forum and follow along.......then take what we describe and see where it applies to the area of the lake you want to fish......we are not nearly as hard on you as the texas fishing forum, you would be ridiculed off the forum for your posts.......just a heads up.....everyone wants to catch fish, no one will give you their hole lol.........
  15. when you click on the links, do not click anywhere on the map EXCEPT the zoom buttons and it will take you to the correct position......if you click in the map first it will screw it up.....
  16. i had someone pm me asking for some identifying way points for common terminology used in bass fishing ans what things looked like.......please correct me if i'm wrong but this is my opinion. it took me a long time to learn the terms and identify correctly so i thought it would be a good learning experience for everyone here on the forum i've included links to navionics... ditches are "drains" to bigger water. when the lake was low you could see ditches when it rained where the water funneled and ran to the body of water these are usually around flats, rivers are main waters before impoundment, flats are well flat ha ha ha. creeks have a beginning and a end when people say creek channels bends its bigger than a ditch but not the river, but usually runs to the main river and intersects it and is a major highway for bass..... and a point is well a point, a ridge is a ridge...... river: http://webapp.navion...,-94.313079,11z mouth of ditch: http://webapp.navion...,-94.304904,11z http://webapp.navion...,-94.301760,11z http://webapp.navion...,-94.298167,11z mouth of creek/intersection: http://webapp.navion...,-94.294645,15z end of creek: http://webapp.navion...-94.300879,14z\ flats: http://webapp.navion...,-94.295545,13z http://webapp.navion...,-94.301048,13z http://webapp.navion...,-94.308645,13z points: http://webapp.navion...,-94.290948,12z http://webapp.navion...,-94.341025,11z ridge: http://webapp.navion...,-94.283613,12z http://webapp.navion...,-94.214332,11z http://webapp.navion...,-94.208762,12z
  17. i think im heading to rayburn monday to fish ill report back to yall........hotter water and temps in the 70's and a FULL lake! should be about the right time to hit em on the trap around the bridge. been going farther north and catching some fish no monsters. im going to take the shorter drive to cassels and launch there and fish around the bridge....
  18. went fishing thursday, bass were on trick worms, fished six mile and sandy stayed close to the house. only caught fish off isolated grass patches and the very point of a bigger grass patch facing deeper water.....only good for a few fish but this was a reliable pattern water was 49-52 degrees........ my wife wants to go crappie fishing during her spring break march 9th any info for crappie fishing this time of year?
  19. another cold front this weekend temps in the 30's and in the 20's tuesday.....
  20. oh and the water was dirty and low everywhere!!!!!!!! grrrrrrr
  21. i went last weekend caught one stinkin fish......she would have got a ride though, black and blue jig... got a club tournament comin wednesday, got some work to do......
  22. Fanatic your on a pretty good pattern from everything I've heard from lots of different people.....
  23. I am going to look at Garmin the next time I buy graphs, I think they agree leading in the si technology right now!
  24. Another thing to be mentioned about the lake itself someone mentioned, after the drought the fish that lived on some of the key areas of the lake left those areas. They now reside around brush piles and structure rather than cover adjacent to these same areas. I used to catch 30+# stringers around deer stand and after the dought............nothing.........but I've found some of the fishes hiding spots
  25. sorry for waiting so long on posting, I am guilty of reading the e-mails about yalls posts and not checking the forum....a couple of key observations I am proud of: we have no b@$$holes here like on texas fishing forum. We all help one another out, IT'S WHAT THIS THREAD WAS CREATED FOR! none of us are aspiring pros except maybe FANATIC ;-)
