Reason for requiring walmart is i got gift cards, and thats what im using them on.

Hi everyone- I recently got a new REVO SX 7:1.1 as a gift. Now i need a rod to keep it company. My options are limited to what my walmart has. 1. Berkley Shock Rod. 2. Abu Vendetta or Vengence(cant remember). 3. Shimano Sellus. Ive never had a reel this light and compact.What would your recommendations be of these 3? And what would you use this set up for? Thank you all for your time .

I personally dont think it matters too a hungry fish. Ive never noticed any difference,so i use unpainted. I also make my own jigs and use unpainted. I have had just as good luck weather they are painted or not. Being painted is just more eye catching for us humans....

Ive used the shaken worm for quite some time now.Have had pretty good luck with them and the quality of their products. The bait monkey and i couldnt resist the prices. Ill be stocked well for a long time.

Ive been wanting to try Megastrike. Which one do you guys favor? Original,garlic,craw,etc.

Totally agree 100% ! Ive never used them,and never will,just dont understand the need for them.Fishin is a one bait to one fish deal.Not 5 to 1. Might as well throw a net out?

Check the Cabelas site. Last years model of Advance Angler bag(green) are all on clearance,good bags.

The large cabelas bag works great.Just remember-the bigger the bag-the heavier it is.Another option in a boat,is to find a cooler.I found one that works great for the plano boxes,my binders,tools,etc. works perfect,keeping it dry and when its really hot. Gonna customize one with a place for scale,ruler,etc.,along with 3n1 stick on rust shields inside.Iwill post picks when i get it done.

Mine are all stored in Plano 3600 boxes. I have 4 boxes,used label maker to organize by size,type,weight.

Ive used both 7ft and 6-6 m&mh. Have had a great year with the square bill on them. Rods are Cabelas XML.

Most of the time for me,its the jig&lil pork crawdad.In the warmer water,i have excellent luck with the zoom trailers,both large and small.

Is the 600yds ultra soft hybrid basically the same as 250yd of hybrid,just curiuos of the yds difference

Ive been using Trilene XL for years. The new xl isnt as good.With that said,i will be looking to try YOZURI first thing this spring. Ive read alot of good things about it here. Question: BPS has yozuri hybrid250yds and hybrid ultra soft 600yds. Which one do you all recommend or use most. (600yd vs 250yd) . Its not available to buy locally,so ill be ordering from somewhere.

Ive use quiet a few different rods,like everyone else. The BPS CRANKIN STICK is a great rod for the money. I picked up a brand new 7ft.M/L at a flea market for 20.00 this fall. It has been at great rod for throwing my small square bills! Personally i like the powerhump,wish all my rods had it.

I keep all my extra line,etc. in a small rubbermade container stored in my fishin cabinets. SirSnookalot-- you are very lucky to be able to use equipment 12 months of the year,also ive learned a alot from your post,post replies thank you.

A coarse sharpen stone works also as does a battery operated hook sharpner like the berkley line stripper with stone on the end,

I see i need to find out if the new stuff has replaced the old XL,or if its just a newer addition.If the old XL is not bieng made, im gonna stock up now.

Amen Hootie !! I have lighting rods and some of the newer stuff, but the newer stuff in real fishing world isnt that much better .

No sir your not.I have a bunch myself.I have a small 3drawer night stand with nothin but old reels in it. I also have 42 old rods of the same types you listed all stored in plano rod tubes.I dont think its really worth a ton a money,but some of it was my grandpas,so its worth a million to me.

I was in the same boat as you.Eventually i either sold alot of baits or donated to kids id see fishing of the dock some where with mom or dad. They get so excited. As far as reels and rods go,i just keepem.Because selling them dont really yield much profit because of shipping especially on rods.Dont beat yourself up over it,everybody here has this problem im sure.
