My hunting gear is what i use also. A good pair of boots that have GORTEX. No exceptions there. And make sure you can resole them when needed. As far as insulation, i have a 400 gram i wear to about 30 degrees, below that i have a 1000 gram insulated. I also work outside 8to10 hours a day in the cold.After many years,these are what i have. 2 words;RESOLABLE AND GORTEX.

The BPS CrankinStik is a great crankbait rod. If you can wait till the spring sale you will get a much better deal.

I am curious about the clips that hold the bait. I know you compress the bait to fit. But will being stored this way for a winter season or so, do anything to the baits blade arms?And do the Calvitrons fit well in the buzzbait side?

Lunker Lure Rattleback,Picasso and strikeking. Most i have customized in one way or another. I have alot of Chopper blades made of copper i use with great success,and alot of the vibration blades from lunkerlure that get put on Picassos alot.

And they should replace them. As far as a extra pack of 2 i suggested, was out of pure generosity on their behalf, if they wanted too.Just a way to make it right,NOT TO GET MORE, as stated by another.

I already had a ton of 36&3700 boxes,worm wraps etc. My bag is a mixture of sizes etc. I have used the bag on many tourneys,and none of the guys i fished with had a issue on space. As far as the 3750 boxes,i dont care for them personally.

The berkley xl was changed first of the year,and has been crap ever since. All year ive been experimenting,but only tried a few. Ande,Maxima and Seaguar senshi. So far SEAGUAR has done the best for me.I dont know why berkley couldnt just leave a good thing alone?

I have both the large and magnum. The large is a nice bag,but it only holds 3600 size boxes. I got the magnum back in january(new model). I really like this bag. Offers more storage options than the large or any plano bag. I have multiple size boxes,plus bps finese wraps,works out well.Outside pockets will hold 3600 boxes also.My rain suit fits in compartment under lid,just a all around good bag.

I will usually use my service spools of 6or8 pd line. The spools were new and cheap from a tackle shop that was closing. I apply good tension,the smaller line lays well and packs tight. After im done,i put blue electrical tape around the line. Makes it nice,smooth and permenate. All my reels,spinning and baitcasters get it.

I personally will not fish around someones boat. Everybody makes a not so good cast,smacking the boat isnt something i want too do.Theres empty docks and other places.but that just me.

Personally never tried either,but im going to get some 36s to try. Right now i find the KVD 1x2x to be working out well for me.

I have 4 colors blk/blu;grnpumkin;brown;light brown. Ive used these same colors for 30years. One of them have always produced when i was fishin a jig. No need to have a bunch of boxes with 50 different colors.At least i dont anyways.

Yellow Power Pro for me.The fish havent told me any different all year,and ive had a great year.

This winter im changing hooks on crankbaits.I see there are oval ones,and wondered if they made that much of a difference? Also, are the factory rings the same as replacement? I figured since i had the hooks off,maybe replacing the rings with better quality ones. Any specific brands and sizes would be great, Thanks...........

Agree with previous posts about the Cabelas XML. Ive got 6 different ones in different lenghts,never had a issue with any one of them.Every rod came with a warranty card of 25years of exchange if found defective. Caught alot of big fish with them too.

The post was a continued report on PRO QUALIFIER nothing else.Why the shimano groupys even chirpin here? Goose,this has been a well written,thought out,and not to mention a extensive amount time put in to it. Anyone thinking of getting a new caster,would benefit greatly,by reading the entire thing. It clearly PROVES that this reel has the gutts and at alot less money!Because of your indepth dedicated review,ive been slowly switching all my casting reels to the PQ. I have been shown PROOF that ill get my moneys worth,thank you. Until the shimano ladys can give a dedicated,indepth report on a reel,you need not chime in until you can PROVE IT as Goose has done.................................

I still have one of the SpiderMite baitcasters,very small reel for throwing very light baits.Also have 2-6ft spidercast original casting rods also.

I recently picked up four packs,different colors, or these bait on a clearance rack,for 1.50 each. Does anyone use these.If so, what riggin method besides jig trailer?

Quality hooks like KVD TRIPLE GRIP 1X 2XSHORT, OWNER STINGERS,AND SOME OF THE GAMAGATSU can really up your game. Ive been picking up a pack or two of the kvd and stingers over the summer to replace hooks this winter. Some are pricey at 8to10 dollars for six.Theres no reason for that. Also,get or make a lure retriever(plug nocker) to use when you get hung up.It will save your lure,and those new hooks....................................
