  1. There are a few on this site that fish there, they should be along shortly.
  2. I love that shirt !
  3. So they screwed up, you have to take action.
  4. You've got to be kidding me!!?!???! Not once , but twice ?????
  5. I wanted a project boat, sold mine to have the money to work on it. It's all good !
  6. Sold my usable boat this morning. Time to get started on the project boat.
  7. As long as your phone works !
  8. Went to Sparta East lake today. 2 people, 4 bites, one fish.
  9. I have a pair of glacier gloves like that. Don't wear them much for the reason that fish tank mentioned. Thanks though !
  10. I wear latex gloves, under fingerless gloves, wool - neoprene - whatever you want. They're thin enough you can still tie knots, thumb your baitcaster, etc. Get the black ones, the thicker ones, typically in an automotive department of some stores. Walmart, Rural King, etc. Why black? If the sun is out, it will help to warm your hands a little more. Every little bit of heat helps. Stuff a hot hands warmer (little one) under the glove, forehand side.
  11. ^^ THIS ^^ One on me, one in the boat, one in the truck.
  12. Went to Coffeen today. Clarity - About 6". Temps 56° ramp, 68° hot arm. Plant was running. Lake is up. Good luck too all !
  13. A very big thanks for all the replies! I made it out today. Picked up a spinning rod, that's all I used. SUCCESS ! Even got two in the boat, missed two others. It was windy, gusts to 30mph. I found some spots somewhat protected. It makes wonder if I even want to try the baitcaster again, for skipping. Aahhh, who am I kidding, I will!
  14. Thanks to all for the replies! I plan on going tommorow, I think I will force myself to only have skipping rod on the deck. Going to try spinning rod also. - do you practice this at home? Use an old jig? Stand on a bucket?
  15. Having a hard time learning myself this one. Have watch a few videos, tried it, still can't get it down. To cut down on the severity of backlashes, I put some electrical tape on the spool, that helped. Just watched a video by Brian lattimer, said to start with a spinning rod, and weightless stick bait. To get the motion down. What say you?
  16. You too ?!? Had four hours to kill last Thursday. Went to Coffeen, 45 minutes away. Fought the wind, it was still enjoyable !!!
  17. I hear ya! This winter I bought a tonneau cover for truck, an electric smoker, and just swapped out two ceiling fans in the house. I need too get back on the water !
  18. Ryneb- I recently tried to load the boat on the trailer, with the trolling motor deployed. Got extremely lucky nothing was damaged.
  19. Ryneb - call tri-state trolling motor in St. Louis, or Jones trolling motor (I think in Arkansas). I've dealt with both. Both where helpful.
  20. Nice cats! Sweaters in July?!? Nice cats! Sweaters in July?!?
  21. 1. Do you need a title for a vessel that size? 2. I read somewhere that Illinois was thinking about doing away with titles for boats. If so, wait, and you won't have to worry about it. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
  22. Congrats! I've been trying to break 5#!
