Have had many of those days myself. I just got back from being "chauffered" by our daughter, recently got her learner's permit. Her first time on the interstate. I'm wondering if it was smart to put "student driver" magnets on the car. Felt like a target a few times.

Sounds good! I've only recently began paying attention to maps and electronics. Waiting for the right deal to upgrade electronics. Currently using a 2d grayscale. I'm stoked about upgrading! Was out the end of last week. Map showed two holes in the middle of the lake. Went there, wasn't holes, humps! Caught my first "offshore" fish.

The cheap analog scale from Walmart is actually quite accurate. Nice fish! I might be going to coffeen a few times this week. Might try that technique their.

Went to silver lake yesterday. Two in the boat, missed 4. 10" worm was the ticket. It still amazes me when a 9" bass inhales a 10" worm. Missed being a keeper by a ½". Sexy hairy legs an extra bonus!

Went to silver lake yesterday. Couple little bass on a 10" worm. Tried pushing crankbaits for crappie. Couple of small ones, I thought cranks where supposed to get the big ones?

Silver lake yesterday evening. Managed one, on a dropshot, hadn't tried that before. Lake was up, clarity 3".

Kudos to you! We used to have a lake cleanup day, haven't for a couple of years now. It had been every spring, said it was being moved to the fall for weather reasons. Hasn't happened since. We would fill a big dumpster. There are trash cans by every parking area and others scattered around. It's amazing how many people walk by them to go fishing, leave their trash laying down, walk by a trash can to get back to their car. The worst is fishin line. Ever try mowing around a lake?

https://goo.gl/images/CqR6R4 These look interesting. Called Kansas fish attractors? PVC will last forever. The pvc is filled with gravel or concrete on these. Their is some argument on being able to find pvc with electronics. Can be good and bad. Sand it, or rough it up first to help algae and such grow. Also, look on crappie.com, they have a sub forum dedicated to sinking stuff. You'll find out about location, and types of materials. Making concrete forms, to make weights, is easy. Cheaper than buying blocks.

The CG long sleeve shirts from Target (duo-dry) are nice. Even nicer when you catch them on sale in the fall. Like others have said, keep the sun off of you and feel cooler. Dip either the shirt or buff in the water, and go for a quick ride! Just got some buffs from SA company. Used the five for fifteen deal. Need to get some sun gloves next.

Shootermcbob, what did you wind up with? Just got some of the SA buffs. Fogging up is an issue. Fishin in the wind helps. Wonder if putting rainx on glasses would help? What kind of gloves did you get?

Silver lake today, nada. Had one roll on a Chatterbait. Tried spinnerbait, c-rig, baby minus 1, and a jig. Clarity was chocolate milk, level +6", 68-70°.

I went. Threw most all the above mentioned baits. Nothing for me.. It was nice being the only one out there.

That's what our lake looks like. Gonna hit it in a half hour. It's only over pool by about 8". Have most of the above mentioned baits already tied on!

Fishin out if it for a while is a very smart thing to do! I've had thoughts of selling my 50hp, and putting a 25 on it. The good thing is, it forces me fish.
