What's The Deal With Weight?
It's all based on personal preference. I tend to use my Carbonlite rod's over my ***'s because the weight difference. Is it that big of a difference? Not really but I just naturally reach for the Carbonlite. That can be said with any rod that is light weight and sensitive for me.

17Ft Quest
Anyone have any experience with Quest boats? I have been looking at a 17ft Quest with a 70HP Johnson. Boat is in good condition the carb just needs to be rebuilt. Already talked to a boat mechanic and compression and all check's out and got pricing on the repairs. Just wanted to know if anyone has any input on these boats. Gonna be using it for bass fishing mostly but also to run down to the coast and fish as well.

New Bps Crankin Stick Micro Guide
I like the new look. Does seem that Clunn had some input on em. I've been looking for the old style BPS Crankin stick 7' M and 7' MH for awhile. Online and in the flea market here and no luck. Looks like I'll have to go with the new one..

New Bps Crankin Stick Micro Guide
I am a BPS rod/reel guy. I have PQ, both the old style gold Carbonlites which were awesome and I have the new flat black Carbonlites which are great reel's as well. About to get the new white Carbonlite they just put up on the site. The only reel I don't have is the Johnny Morris Sig series. Those are the only three reel's that interest me from BPS.

New Bps Crankin Stick Micro Guide
The only Berkley rod I'd use is the lightning shock. That thing is a workhorse rod. Not the most sensitive but a good deal for the price point. I have an original Veritas gen 1 7'H for frogging. It's alright but the rest of my rod's are Carbonlites and ***'s. I'd go with the BPS Crankin Stick just for the simple fact that I've never had an issue and have loved all my BPS rod's. Just my personal preference. I'd rank it right up there with my ***/*** reel combo. Although I am gonna get another one of those as well!

New Bps Crankin Stick Micro Guide
They really do man. I'm gonna have to order me one for sure. They also went away from the powergrip handle which was a big complaint for some people.

New Bps Crankin Stick Micro Guide
Found out why the original BPS Crankin stick was low on model options. They have a new model they are preselling on site that has micro guides. Price is raised up a bit from original Crank Stick

Who Has The Skinny On P-Line
I have swithched over to using just P-Line CXX and CX. Using 12lbs on most of my baitcasters. Use 20lbs for my swimbait setup. No issues to this point. Enjoy the line. But I do spray all my reels with real magic to help with memory. I do this probably once a week. Just preference and it seem's to help with memory!

Baitcast Combo Help
Sent ya PM I have two PQ for sale. You'd cut the cost in half of the reel and would be able to spend more and a better rod for the setup

What Is Your Favorite Buzzbait?
D&M buzzbaits would be my choice as well. Only buzzbaits I use. Great company and great quality as well

Crankbait Rod
Been looking and researching alot on a new crankin setup. Was wanting to get a crankin stick but BPS has not had the size and rating's I am looking for. Seem's that they no longer make the 7' M or MH. Been looking into Lew's Rod's as well and the David Fritt's rod caught my eye. Anyone have any experience with this rod? Also the Veritas winch 2.0 is an option

Sales Associates At Cabela's And Bass Pro Shops
I agree with the guy's that work at BPS. I honestly don't expect an employee to know everything about every product in the store. Basic knowledge yes but some people now day's are just absolutely ridiculous in what they ask or demand. I work for a major Outdoor Power Equipment company and some of the complaints we receive are absolutely ridiculous. People will want something specific but will not provide specific information. And they get mad when you cannot answer this question because they have provided little info to assist. I could only imagine what they deal with in BPS fishing department. I'm not one of these customer's who feel's the customer is alway's right or I should get whatever it is I want. I expect good customer service within reason.

Swimbait Set Up...im Confused!
I use a Shimano Cardiff the same as SpeedBead for all my swimbait rod's. Also use a 8FT LDC rod.
- What Casting Rod Should I Get That Is Around The 70-100 Dollar Range?

Sales Associates At Cabela's And Bass Pro Shops
I would expect them to have basic knowledge but not be an expert when it comes to the gear being sold. To be honest at what they are being paid I couldnt expect them to be much more knowledgable than I when it comes to products or gear I am looking to purchase. I've already done my homework and read up on the stuff I'm looking to get. So normally I wouldnt have too many questions or issues I would need for them to assist me with.

Can't Pitch/flip?
I agree 100%

Can't Pitch/flip?
When pitching/flipping it is better to use heavy rated rod when going in the thick stuff. Just as you would use a 4X4 truck in thick rough areas. Would a 2WD work? Probably but it will also eventually get stuck and couldnt do the work like a 4X4 could. Same with a rod the smaller rod may work but it will eventually break. It's not meant for the application you are using it in. I recommend a 7'6 H but that's my preference. A 7ft H or MH depending on cover would also work.

Bps Reel's
From the info that I've heard it appears that the reel's are different in design and look's. You can tell just by looking at the reel's that the PQ is different from the combo reel being sold. Not sure about different model # or any information such as that.

Bps Reel's
That's good to hear about the Carbonlite combo. I have never once had an issue with any QC or components. I think everyone is referring to the PQ reel PQ rod combo which is a different rod. The total combo is $70 on black Friday sales. It's a cheaper end rod but people think that that PQ components are also different but with the same PQ name.
