Bps Reel's
I haven't had any issues out of my PQ/Carbonlite combo's or any BPS reel's for that matter. But all mine are either PQ or the original gold Carbonlites. Just ordered the new carbonlite hopefully no issues there either. Honestly for $70 I think it may be a differnet reel with cheaper components placed on a cheap rod. But I have a hard time thinking BPS would intentionally lead people to believe it is the same quality as a standard PQ. BPS has alway's been upstanding with any concerns or issues I've had and it's never been a QC issue thankfully. Honestly it just seems like they would worry too much about reputation and customer satisfaction to do that but that's just my thought's. But from what everyone is saying it sounds true.

Bps Reel's
So the one's that you purchase in the rod/reel combo are not the same quality as just purchasing the reel seperate? I purchased a PQ reel and Carbonlite rod combo and haven't noticed any difference in regards to quality or feel. I didn't buy mine on black friday though I just ordered it off the BPS website back in June

Poison Oak/ivy
I'm highley allergic to it and it's like if I look at it I get it. It is horrible! Especially when your heading to that honey hole that is tucked back in the wood's and you gotta go through the dang thicket to get to it

My First "big" Bass...

Bps Reel's
Unfortunately I haven't come across the PQ while onsale. I did buy a new one with a carbonlite rod combo. And the other's I purchased were from the Fishing Flea Market on here and picked up three for $175. I love em very good reel not just for the money but period. I appreciate the feed back guy's!

Dirty Jigs California Swim Jigs
I like Dirty Jig's period. Swim, Football, Flipping. On the swim jigs I use Gambler Little EZ and Ragetail Twin tail menace.

Gambler Megadaddy.
I honestly feel the action is great. In comparison to a Ragetail the gambler is about on par but a little slower when it comes to the claws action and erratic flapping but I do feel they have a longer movement when they do flap if that makes any sense? I couldn't compare it to a paca craw since I have never used this bait. I fish it on larger jig's due to the size but I mainly fish it on a punch rig. Either with a Paychex punch skirt or the KO punch skirt from Gambler with a 1 ounce weight for the real thick stuff. Killer combo. Only other craw I'd use besides Ragetail!

Bps Reel's
I have about 5 PQ right now and 2 Carbonlites. Havent got my hand's on a JM Sig series cause I heard they really are not that much better for the price point.

X2 this is the same advice I'd give. I have one of them one I purchased direct from Ben and it's an amazing rod. I'm getting a custom made just gotta get in line and wait due to the demand he get's for his rod's. Can't go wrong with LDC

Bps Reel's
If you guy's had the choice of BPS reel's which would you choose and why? The Pro Qualifier, Carbonlite, Extreme, Johnny Morris Signature Series? I know you may be brand loyal to Lew's, Abu, Shimano etc. but just wanting input and opinions on BPS higher end reels.

Veritas 2.0
Any rod will break if you don't take care of it. I had a buddy who would go out and buy St. Croix or Gloomis rod's and would throw them in the back of his truck and let them slide around and get dinged up or would grab the end of the rod and try to bend it in so he could get a fish from cover. Then when the rod would break after a couple month's of abuse he would down the rod company. I have Carbonlites, Veritas and ***'s and I have never had a rod break. But then again I treat all my rod's with the utmost care. Even my Berkley Lightning shock rod. All my rod's are gently put in the bed of the truck gently pulled out and I always carry them just above the reel where the rod has more backbone. Take care of your equipment and it will take care of you.

Gambler Megadaddy.
I use them as a jig trailer and as a Texas Rigged craw. I use only Gambler Mega daddy's and RageTail Craw's and Lobsters when I'm fishing a craw style bait. Awesome bait's for sure.

Favorite Flipping And Punching Bait?
I use Ragetail smoking rooster, Ragetail Craws, D&M Punchcraw or Flipping craw for super thick stuff and Berkley pitt boss for moderate mats to punch through.

Topwater Frog Setup - Opinion?
I use a 7' H Veritas with Revo S reel at 6.4:1. It's a frog only rod setup I use with 65lb braid. It's gonna be hard to get a two piece rod that would work for real dense cover. At least I feel that to be the case. I'd much rather have a 7' H or MH rod with a fast tip. Those Berkley Lightning rod's are an awesome deal for the price point. I'm getting one as a backup frog rod in the 7'6 H. Those thing's are TOUGH.

$100 To $150 Baitcasting Combo
I'm a big BPS rod/reel guy. I have ***'s, Veritas, Carbonlites, and a couple Lew's speed stick's and to be honest for the price point other's are urging you to save up to BPS combo's are an awesome deal. I just purchased 2 more combo's. The Carbonlite/PQ and the Carbonlite/Carbonlite. Look into these rod's and I'm sure you'd love them. Great for an angler on a budget but also great rod's and reel's period.

Bps Return Policy?
I've always had great experiences with BPS. Never had a rod break or reel issues but in the exchanges I have and with them they have alway's went above and beyond for me. I use Carbonlite Rod's and PQ with almost 50% of my setups. Never had an issue to this point

Why Does It Matter If The Box Is Included?
To each his own kinda thing I guess. When I buy a new reel I alway's keep the box and paper work. When I take my reel's off to clean during the winter month's I don't put them back on the rod I put them in the box they came in until I re rig my rod's for the year in Feb. Just an OCD kinda thing for me

Best Budget Cranking Rod
Alot of people would suggest the Crankin Stick from BPS.

What's Your Favorite Sponsored Angler Gear And Tackle?
I use BPS Caronlite rod's and Crankin stick (Edwin Evers). He is my favorite pro angler beside Chris Lane but I don't buy the product because of him but because of the price point and I love the rod's. I use RageTail bait's which are used by alot of pro anglers that are not sponsered by them but I use those because they catch fish no other reason. Never really had the though process of this guy uses this I'm going to buy it for that reason. If it works I use it if it doesnt work for me I dont.
