  1. Wow, what an awesome ride for Steve Clapper and all the other people I personally know...GREAT JOB TO ALL. The water around Michigan..on both sides...was not something you really wanted to be on in a bass boat this past weekend...lol Ben Felton did an awesome job for pulling off a 2nd place finish. His wife was probably wetting herself when he got his check....lol
  2. Good job, now make sure your dad sends in the checks when he is supose to. You will enjoy that magazine a lot better than the first one you asked about.
  3. Good thing he showed up then huh? ;D ;D....lol
  4. GEEZ.....what is taking you so long...lol.....I thought you worked for UPS, not USP.... ;D ;D ;D Just kidding...lol...You have and will always do a great job on the videos.

Brain Study A South American scientist from Argentina, after a lengthy study, has discovered that people with insufficient brain activity read their e-mail with their hand on the mouse. Don't bother taking it off now, it's too late.
  6. Put on a big heavy sinker...with the lightest line without breaking it on the cast. When they come by again....just let it fly toward the boat. See if they get close next time.... 8-)
  7. If you end up getting sponsors and get humiliated in every way possible, and by other fishermen...JUST TELL THEM...."HEY, I ASKED AND THEY DELIVERED. YOU JEALOUS?" No, don't do that...lol. Just tell them to ask, that is all you did.

Why are these clubs turning you down?
  9. squid replied to paleo's topic in Tournament Talk
Yes you can....look for opens....most trails and clubs have them.
  10. It is awesome....But asking for Erie fishermen..you are asking a big question. You have a lot of States invovled and Canada....You will get lots of help...lol
  11. Learned it from the best.....#3
  12. Why did the guy use his credit card if he just got 800 big ones? Are they that much? I can wait...been waiting for the Flat screens to come down in price...
  13. I like the guy who is still active and has won LOTS of Winston/NextTell cups and is leading even with a 100 point deduction against him....that boy can drive.....and always has a nice thing on his arm.....
  14. I don't know about that ..... although it's not hard I find it to be a pain. I used to do it in high school because it was "manly". Now I take it to a family owned business that my family has been taking cars to for 3 generations now. $15 .... a great deal IMO (and every 8th one is free) I like this idea better....lol. Ok, They somehow over tightened and stripped my Thingamabob, that connects to my whatchamajig, that connects up to my block. Ok...now ya know why I don't change my own oil.....lol. It is however gonna cost me just under $300. If the threads on my whatchamajig are stripped....gonna be more.
  15. Yep, they did that to a friend of mine...3 yrs ago.
  16. Why couldn't it be that simple...lol. But that was some of it....hummmm..have we run into that before?
  17. Avid, On a serious note, I think that is a neat hobby to get into. When would you find time to fish though?.....lol
  18. If I am doing my business(no1) outside and my pants get wet....two things happened. 1. I was facing the wrong way. 2. The wind was really blowing hard.....lol.. ;D ;D ;D
  19. Wow, she really does get around. Avid did you notice the BIG ears she had to hold on to too...... ;D ;D Sorry...to easy....lol
  20. Well I started out my Holiday week with a bang. Took my mountaineer to Wal-Mart for an easy-to-do-oil change. They first tell me 3hrs. No problem since I had other things to do. Well, two hours into it...they call me and proceed to tell me they kinda did something wrong the LAST time I took it there and now I need to tow it somewhere to get fixed, and that I will have to pay for the tow and the fix.... > > You gotta love a company that will tell you they screwed up....but you have to pay for it............... > > > > > > > I can not wait till I talk to the Dealership about what they did and the Store Mgr to see if they are going to actually make me cover the whole cost of their damage. I have never had a problem from them before now. With this lesson, I will now ALWAYS take my vehicle to a licensed mechanic just to do my oil change and all the other things that come with owning a vehicle. [move]Just needed to vent!!!!!!!!![/move] Squid
  21. There isn't really an age limit here. Like Fluke says, you have to stand out. There are 2 - maybe 3 kids who have sponsors, but they earned them. They go all over helping out their sponsors too. I don't think their parents mind to much, since they are the ones who has to drive them around to all those locations. But they are marketable...that is what you have to be. In my line of work...we have 6 - 12 yr olds....lol Gotta love MOTOCROSS...lol
  22. Yes, it is a very STUPID rule in BASS
  23. Each State has differents sizes, but also some States may have sizes that vary. Most tournaments will use the size that fits that area. If it is 12in for all bass then that is what it will be. Like the Pittsburgh Classic.....all dinks...lol. My State....min length is 14in.
  24. Sorry to hear that it did not work out for you. Even if you have only 5 boats or less....if someone from DNR stops by and see a weighing device, and you are on a lake that requires a permit.....you will have to pay the piper. Does not matter how quite you are about it...if he is driving by and sees you weighing fish...he will come up and talk to you. Now, here in Michigan...even on lakes that don't require a permit...you still need permission to be there...from the DNR or city. Just be carefull and don't always think you can "just forget about it". That is not always the best thing to do. I don't mean to pop a bubble there Ballistik, but you do need to cover your own butt for just such a day...... Not that I know of this happing to anyone.... : : 8-)...lol
