  1. I have been using the wrist warmer trick for a while and i agree that it works. I also just picked up a pair of soft-shell gloves that have an open palm so i am curious to see how they work in the cold as well.
  2. If i happen to be able to get out fishing at Diascund that day, maybe i'll swing by....
  3. I am laughing at this ignorant response myself. So you are a proponent of killing anything that eats the same food as bass? And if so at what age bass because they eat different things during different stages of their life.
  4. I did read both and they are contradictory information. I saw multiple things that said in possession then this one blurb saying to kill them. That does not make it law. it is also a semi-moot point as no snakehead have been found in indiana. I also find it hard to believe that you are required to kill any species that is caught.
  5. Boom learn how to read AND comprehend. those rules are exactly what i said they are, they do not require you to kill any snakehead that is caught. they require you to kill any snakehead that is in your possession. Landing a fish is not possession any more than catching a fish that is out of season is possession.
  6. No state has a law to kill a snakehead. What the laws around here at least state is that if you have any snakehead in your possession then they have to be dead, not that you have to kill any you catch. That aside, bowfin are an incredible fish and there is no need to kill them. They have been around for a long long time and i have yet to see any studies or anecdotal evidence on my part that indicates a healthy bowfin population impacts bass population. Don't kill them, that is just ignorance from others speaking.
  7. grew up about 5 minutes from philly and have lived multiple places in virginia and was also in west texas for a bit as well. I wouldn't call where i grew up urban or suburban but my wife thinks where i grew up is totally urban so it is all relative. I now live in suburbia which is ok since we have two kids but when they get older i would like to move somewhere on the water if possible.

    who was the angler?
  9. Kind of surprised there isn't a no compete clause to prevent this from happening this quickly.
  10. Tendinitis is an overuse injury and will not go away without resting it, sorry to say. Also you will have to come back very slowly after you "think" you are ok because you rarely are. I went through that a bunch when i was climbing pretty heavily.

I thought about it but figured the times i needed that feature would far outweigh the cost of getting a decent slider saw. I'll use the larger blade more often than the slider i think. I also have a table saw already.

i am not a huge fan of dewalt but for my use it will be fine. Growing up with an electrician dad i have always been partial to milwaukee and makita tools but they are out of my price range right now and probably overkill for what i need anyways. I am glad i got the 12" though so when i cut 4x4s for the various projects it will be able to handle it without flipping them over.

I bought one thing, a miter saw from lowes. Ordered it online, got the deal and picked it up this morning.
  14. Isn't the bills coach the same coach who was DC when the giants beat the Cheatriots in the super bowl?
  15. next two weeks will truly tell us what the eagles are made of
  16. I fish for bass all winter but my main focus is on trout in the spring creeks and the mountain streams. Something special about getting out in the mountains and catching the only native species on the east coast with snow on the ground.
  17. Bills aren't a bad team though and not sure exactly what has happened to KC. oh yeah, how about those Eagles today beating up on a team they are supposed to beat up on
  18. being bad for so long i would agree with prior to 2000 but since then they have won the division half of the time. Guess we wil slee what happens going forward though but they do seem to have something special going on in all aspects of the game.
  19. Bad for so long? How so? They had a few down years i will agree but sine the new millennium they have pretty much dominated the NFC east.
  20. Nationally advertised is different than no haggle though, isn't it?
  21. I made the mistake of smoking a turkey a few years ago and now my early morning thanksgiving fishing trip has been nixed. Oh well, it is still fun to cook the bird and hang out with family
  22. I just find it to be a very personal ordeal when a person comes to a board and their first post is ripping a brand. As far as no haggle pricing goes, I don't have an issue with it myself. Makes my job easier as a buyer because i research online and don't have to waste my time trying to save a few dollars. And i am just curious, how has ranger been doing as of late, I honestly don't know other than the normal talk and how most people are really high on their aluminum boats.
  23. 1 post and a whole lot of speculation.....i am guessing he got fired
  24. Eagles came out weak and finished strong. Their defense is the real deal though. This stretch of the next 3 games will tell us a lot more about this team.
  25. if you can find the fish in a river in those conditions you can have a killer day. I usually don't catch as many fish but the fish i do catch are usually high quality. Look for wintering holes just don't share them if you find them Normally i am all about sharing spots but sharing a wintering hole can be bad news as they are used year after year and are stacked with fish. Slow fishing is the norm but be prepared to swim because like others stated, dumping in the summer is a PITA and you can laugh about it, dumping in the winter yo can be in a dire situation fast. Don't go to areas you aren't familiar with on exploratory missions for sure.
