Improved Zoom Super Fluke Rigging with Owner Twistlock CPS and Heat Shrink - instructions w/ pics
Even easier solution is to find a buddy who pours and have them dip the nose of said fluke in clear hard plastic. Yo ulna then nose hook to your heart's content with no issues. I have some stankxbaitco stick baits that i asked him to do this for me and i can fish the same bait almost all day and have zero issues.

Are you lucky?
I don't believe in luck. Luck is where preparation meets opportunity. Everything that has happened in my life is a result of choices made either by me or by someone else. All that being said, I am blessed to have a wonderful family and an outstanding wife.

Boat negotiation with cash-in-hand
I am not in the boat biz but negotiating on dealer installed/purchased items is always easier. They have more play in that realm for sure. If you are ready to buy and like you said, cash in hand, they don't want you to walk out without a purchase.

View on Rapala DT Series Crankbaits?
if you are banging baits into cover then you are going to have paint chip eventually. I haven't had any issues with paint chipping on mine. I haven't fished the live series so i can't comment but I am curious as to how you quantify that they are more prone to paint chipping. I have some really beat up crank baits and funny thing is, they still catch fish

Boat negotiation with cash-in-hand
So i can't speak for boats but in the car biz cash in hand doesn't give you any more purchasing power because the margins are not that high. They make more money if they get you to finance the purchase than if you pay cash in hand. Now in a person to person sale cash does rule because it is hard for someone to pass up that money in their face. Don't get me wrong though, a sale is a sale and someone with cash in hand is ready to buy and any good salesperson will make sure the sale is made at that point as long as they have something that can fit your needs. Also, just something to consider but depending on what kind of interest rate you can get on a loan, you can always just put that money in the bank and use it to purchase the boat on a monthly payment cycle. If you are getting more interest on your savings than yo are on your loan then you will make out in the long run. Sure it may not be much but it can't hurt to at least crunch the numbers.

Menards, Home Depot, or Lowes?
I always thought items that were considered store brand were only available through a specific store aka Ryobi, Craftsman, Kobalt etc...I have probably 10 different stores other than HD that sells ridgid near me not including home depot. I use Milwaukee for all my tools though and can't complain. Whoever came up with the cordless impact driver was a very smart person. I use mine over my cordless drill probably 50-1

Menards, Home Depot, or Lowes?
I am pretty sure Ryobi is the HD store brand and it sucks. Ridgid is not a store brand at all. You can get Ridgid at a bunch of different places. That being said, i go to whichever i feel like will have less traffic getting in and out of on a particular day. No Menards around her iso it is just between HD and lower for me

I fish with them a lot and have no complaints. They perform well and do what they say they will. Durability also has not been an issue for me at all.

Effects of electronics?
Ultimately there are so many variables involved that to pinpoint that the sonar is the reason a bass wa spooked is always going to be difficult to quantify, especially since bass do not have the same behavior every day.

Favorite topwater?
I have had some of my best days for smallies fishing the strike king mini buzz bait and following the shade line on the smaller creeks I fish. As far as largemouth go, this season and last it has been the megabass pop x and pop max.

Other Species Latest Catch Pics Thread
I am with A-Jay on this one. Night fishing is a lot of fun. You don't need a ton of special gear, at least not from my kayak. Good bug spray helps though that is for sure. The thing that freaks me out the most is when a beaver comes up and slaps it's tail about 10' from me. That will get the blood flowing a little, well that and the bats that seem to enjoy chasing m baits. I have stopped fly fishing at night for that reason. after having to unhook one of them i figured this wasn't the best idea lol

Whats with this crazy rods colors ? Neon Green, Orange, White or Yellow ??
White rods are nice when they go overboard....makes them easier to see

What lure? Trolling behind kayak/boat?
What is a second rod stamp? Have never heard of that before. As far as trolling goes i prefer crank baits at the depth i want to target.

What's your style?
Being i na kayak there is no run and gun for me so I tend to pick apart a spot. I have recently started fishing offshore structure and i don't seem to pick apart that as much as something i can see.

Lights for kayak night fishing
I use a headlamp as well but prefer to allow my eyes to adjust to the ambient light. Yo would be surprised at how much you can see if you let your eyes adjust. VA boating law states: Unpowered Vessels A vessel under oars and sailboats less than 7 meters (23 feet) in length may display those lights prescribed for a sailing vessel, but it they do not, they shall have ready at hand an electric torch or lighted lantern (Figure 8) shining a white light which shall be exhibited in sufficient time to prevent collision.

What is the most versatile line for my lures?
30lb is plenty heavy enough for any cover you will encounter. I like throwing frogs on my MH rod with 40lb braid myself.

What Sam said is dead on...wading there is not crazy but you have be paying attention. You could be on a boulder in shin deep water and step off the wrong way and be over your head pretty quickly.

NBA Playoffs
The way the East is defecting to the west, Sixers might even make the playoffs next year. I am still not sold on Brown as the coach but this year, he should have zero excuses. He has talent to work with and a GM who is actually getting players and not draft picks for the first time in a long time.

it was one of the breakthroughs in grilling that i found many years ago and I couldn't believe how many people would shy away from it and not try it.
