As far as kayaks go you have a pretty good list and the other advice of demoing is a good one. I picked up a wilderness systems ATAK and it is by far my favorite kayak i have owned, It is super stable but it is heavy to load and unload but definitely manageable. The best feature is the electronics pod as it makes setting up a fish finder a piece of cake. Accessories are pretty easy to install but like Darren above said, don't rig it till you fish it a bunch. I fished my ATAK probably close to a dozen times before i started rigging it. Each boat is different and the needs are different. Here is my boat, pretty simple really, an anchor trolley and 6 flush mount rod holders that never get in the way from casting but do occasionally from overhanging branches.

you might be able to send them back and get another pair, i think they are a lifetime warranty deal but i could be wrong. I love my boomerang snips but i also noticed they got dull after about a year of use.

that i agree with. From what i read he had that meeting with Lurie after losing to the dreadful deadskins and when was asked about relinquishing control of people he balked and Lurie canned his butt.

i don't mind the bradford or the murray move actually...maclin and mathis hurt us more than those two.

If anything i would say he had balls and was doing things like he wanted so while his moves may or may not have worked, we will never really know, not having balls is not a good reason for me.

I think it is a dumb thing that they let a guy become GM and then after one season they boot him out, makes no sense. He deserved one more season in my opinion. Also there was apparently some friction when lurie said he was going to take away his GM responsibilities and he basically said ok then, you're out....

I fished a small muddy pond yesterday for a few hours and i was shocked at how warm the water was. Granted this was just by the "feel" of the water but i know after flyfishing for a few hours my hands weren't cold from stripping the line which usually happens when the water is cold. I am heading out tomorrow and i will be utilizing al the techniques mentioned above with particular focus on fishing tight to cover and slowing down

I fish both but i am not sure i can agree with your advantages when you have never fished a jig. I catch bigger fish on jigs and more on a texas rig on my lakes.

any propulsion that isn't paddling is an advantage. Even if you can keep up with a motor you are expending a whole lot more energy and by the end of the day that will come into play. Especially if you are trying to get back to the boat ramp in time. Pedal yaks the same thing applies just not at the same level but i think motorized and pedal should be in their own category.

I saw that too. there are some crazy big cats down here. I am trying to figure out where i can take my kayak and get into some myself. And what is more crazy is the world record which was caught not far from these guys was 30+lbs heavier!!

pass for me. Not a fan of the kayak tournament crowds myself. I may do some local tourneys and some online stuff but going out there is not my cup of tea. It kind of defeats the purpose of why i got into kayak fishing in the first place. Not to mention they allow electric motors which is a huge advantage especially on a big lake like kentucky lake.

I was gonna say, there are quite a few players with 3+ in 5 consecutive. Seems like a pretty made up stat to me but he has been playing better for sure compared to earlier in the season.

you don't get to be 14-0 being an overhyped team. you earned the hype. Carolina finds ways to win which is the sign of a good team. Now the Eagles, that game last night was mind numbing. the score was bad but the game was closer than that. they are struggling like a young team does when playing against a better team. I see flashes of greatness followed by dropped passes and stupid penalties. Do I think the Eagles are a good team, eh, not really but they are improving. They still have the ability to win the division and once you get into the playoffs who knows what can happen, especially with this team's ability to make crazy stuff happen both on special teams and defense.

i would except i will be traveling so no fishing for me. I will be going out tomorrow and probably wednesday though to see what i can get into. Haven't decided on trout or bass or river or lake yet though....

roll cast my man roll cast...or you can do what i think they call is a steeple cast where you basically cast straight up in the air on the back cast and then spey style it forward...i had been doing it for years before i realized there was a name for it lol. fishing small mountain streams where i learned to fly fish forces you to get creative with your fly presentations.
