  2. Oak is decent for sure but he flat out sucks on defense. Hopefully it won't matter. Problem is him and Noel just don't seem to be mashing when on the floor together but part of that may be the horrible PG play too
  3. Being a fan of egg nog i decided that this year i was going to try to make my own. Since i am a fan of Alton Brown and his scientific approach to cooking, I went with his aged egg nog recipe. Unfortunately you are supposed to let it "mellow" for at least two weeks before partaking I just hope it is worth it..... Ingredients-- End result
  4. Problem is the worst team rarely even gets the number one pick. I can't stand the thought of losing in an effort to rebuild either it cheapens the game and shows no respect for the sport or for the team or it's fans. I see the mediocrity thing thrown around a lot and while there are some teams that get stuck there it by no means is always the final end point. you have to grow as a team and need vets to do it. the sixers starting 5 are younger than some college teams and it isn't because they are all great players either. they have maybe 3 solid NBA players on the team right now and after 16 or so picks over three years that is sad. That drafting alone tells me Tankie doesn't know talent evaluation.... No matter what though i see Colangelo as a step in the right direction and hopefully we can do something in next year's draft to make some noise and not for futility.
  5. As much as i hate the celtics, i use their model for success and rebuilding as an example 1 game very 25 games to rebuild a team. Maybe if the draft was worst record gets top pick it might make sense but when the worst team rarely gets the top pick, tanking doesn't make sense. I still think they should change the lottery to reward the top 3 teams closest to making the playoffs and put them in the lottery for the top 3 picks then the rest are worst to best record. It rewards teams trying to win and also limits the amount of tanking till the end of the season when playoffs are becoming more materialized. It also could launch those teams that are getting close into the upper echelon while not impacting those that are already there. Doing that almost instantly changes the entire complexion of the league and creates some new contenders the next season while rewarding the team for trying to win.
  6. I agree. I don't even have a problem with buying talent. I hate the celtics but they are in pretty good position going forward, very similar amount of picks than the sixers and never had to strip down to an expansion team to do it.
  7. One thing i will say is that Tankie has managed to brainwash a whole lot of people into thinking this is the only way to build a team with no proof, no resume or no examples of it working. I guess the league/owners have had enough and said ok, you have made this team a laughingstock in all sports, not just basketball, so lets get a guy in here who actually knows basketball, and not just on a spreadsheet.
  8. Sorry but you are completely wrong. No team has ever tanked for three straight years and put this pathetic of a product on the floor. Do you know that a third of the minutes played on this team are by undrafted players? Having the number #1 pick or a lottery pick by no means guarantees success as the draft is a crap shoot at best and Tankie has shown his talent evaluation skills are severely lacking. To say the only way to build a team is to tank for three years just shows lack of skill at the GM position and ignorance of fans. To say this is how the league is built is such a farce. The lottery has been around for a long time yet no team has ever done this before but i am pretty sure there have been champions every year. The only team mentioned that tanked, and really it wasn't even a tank because of an injury, was san antonio and it was for not even an entire season. No free agents are going to want to a team that has a culture of losing and no loyalty to any player or even the fan base. And how is colangelo going to help the lakers? that just shows even more conspiracy theory crap that just isn't true..... I am glad the league stepped in because this is an atrocity and total crap. And other than one bought title, when have the celtics done anything since the mid 80's?
  9. So the sixers suck and it has been on purpose because Tankie decided that was the best way to build a team....anyways now that they hired Colangelo I hope Tankie is out soon. Happy day for sixers fans or at least this one
  10. My advice is to not delay going back. The longer you wait to go back the harder it is. a far as havign a semester gap and getting your bachelors a semester late, that means pretty much nothing. I took about 10 years to get my bachelors and that had multiple 2 year+ stints of no school.
  11. yeah i did. I figure it is cheap insurance but not even sure it matters really.
  12. I use a 9ah battery with my unit and i can get 2 days out of it fairly easily. Oh and great unit by the way...i picked one up for my kayak early this year and have been very pleased.
  13. Unless you really want the 10' boat i would go up to a 12'. A 12' boat will do almost everything as well as a10' and paddle any type of distances better and track much better. That being said, I don't have experience with the pescador but i do with the cruise and it is a great boat, i think one of the best board for the money out there. Also, what does the "Pro" designation actually mean?
  14. Stocked fish are weird...i know they can be bred to spawn multiple times in the case of rainbows because i am pretty sure they are normally spring spawners.
  15. If any team could find a way to lose in dramatic fashion, it is a team from Philly. Luckily they didn't this go around. On to Buffalo now in the friendly confines of the Linc.... On a side note, this win ticks me off after watching them play like crap the past two weeks, losing in historic fashion.
  16. these are the games the eagles win....ones they aren't supposed to.
  17. Bold (Stupid) prediction of the day......Eagles special teams and defense pick it up today and the offense is rejuvenated with Bradford back. Eagles win a close one in foxboro and screw up most eagles fans minds because then we lose out the rest of the year....
  18. What kind of trout and what type of water?
  19. Nice day for sure. Brookies spawn this time of year for sure down in VA but i would think they were done up there by now but like bass, they all spawn different times so that is probably the case with this guy.

I tried the beats and to me they aren't that good at all, just a name. I have used sony which are decent depending on the model, ironman (which are good for staying in your ears during active pursuits) seeinheser and shure. I like my shure headphones the best. the sound quality is great and they are pretty durable. Seinheiser are really nice too....
  21. Why wouldn't they want to resign? i mean if i was in a company for 40+ years and was a high level executive in said company and we were bought out by another company I would seriously consider dong the same thing. He has the money so why not retire and spend time with his family or doing something he loves instead of working for someone else? It happens all the time in big companies when they merge and it makes life easier for most too because ultimately the people at the very top of the food chain don't stay unless they truly are only owners in name only. I am not one to get too concerned with people leaving companies or companies merging until it actually impacts me or the product itself. Speculation is just that, speculation. Besides, I fish from a kayak and for now I am not buying a motor powered vessel anytime soon but i can say that when kayaks i have been using merged with other companies i haven't seen any issues,.
  22. Welcome aboard and i am with A-Jay on this one...go new.
  23. just keep water out of any small areas that may crack if frozen and you'll be fine. I have stored my kayaks outside for years and haven't had any issues. One year i even thought about putting tarp over them but that was more for me so my seat wouldn't be wet
  24. I am pretty sure you have always been able to advance a kicked ball that is blocked as long as it doesn't pass the line of scrimmage or is touched by the kicking team first aka the leon lett play, and you can advance any FG that lands in the field of play as well as we have seen a bunch of times.
  25. Any team with Rogers makes them viable in my mind. That game was crazy last night and I truly think that was the first time I have ever seen that happen.
