  1. yup that is what mae me change to this unit.
  2. Do recalls expire per se or can you just ignore it till you need to address it?
  3. Fishing from a kayak doesn't offer any different problems than other types of boapts in a river. It is all about boat positioning and how you do that depends on the craft. I fish from a kayak and can fish pretty much any presentation I want, I just have to decide how i want to hold position.
  4. Death wobble was common on jeeps when they first went over to coil springs and people were lifting them without the knowledge of steering geometry. I'd go ahead and get it fixed.
  5. Yeah I use a cart 99% of the time even though I have a trailer. It is easier to take it off the trailer and load it up and take it down the ramp and allows me to launch off to the side usually as well.
  6. Unless they are dragging it up and down concrete boat ramps. I replace the keel on mine every few years as it is a wear item and replaceable.
  7. Having the right tool for the job makes it much easier. People scoff at havier weight rods but if that is what I need then that is what I am going to use. When I tell people i use what is the equivalent of like a 10/11 wt for bass i have been told oh i can do that with a 5,6,7wt.....my response is i am sure you can but I can promise you my day will be much easier because i have the right rod matched with the right fly. As far as throwing heavier streamers go the key is to not make the fly heavier but the line :). I started throwing a sink tip line a few years back and it is awesome and allows for a different mindset tying flies and creates a different sink than a traditionally weighted fly would.
  8. As far as trailer wiring goes it is always a challenge with all the abuse a trailer takes but bad ground or faulty connections are usually the first culprit. For me, if I don't find it relatively quickly I will take an afternoon and rewire it as then I know it will work and be done correctly and last for years to come. I recently did it on my 6+ year old kayak trailer and swapped out for LED lights as well and everything is good to go and now I don't have to worry if my lights work after I hit a bump or something.
  9. These types of comments are always baffling to me, even though they are said tongue in cheek. As a person who likes to cook more than I like to eat actually, I don't care how anyone eats their food. My wife is a medium well/well done kind of gal for everything from steaks to burgers and anything else in between. Over the years I have learned that it is way harder to cook something that is still juicy medium well/well done but it can be done for sure. I know for me I don't like pink in my burgers and they are just fine. I can go into the reasons why but I will save that for another time.
  10. I have been using the Sawyer Picardin non deet bug spray for years now and it works great. I do a decent amount of night fishing come summer time and this stuff does the job. It also has worked well to prevent ticks when I go fly fishing in areas with tall grass. And yes, I have had ticks in areas I wouldn't want to have again and it isn't fun. I walked through a nest or something before and pulled off no less than 30 of them. I am pretty ok with anything in the outdoors but I cannot stand ticks.
  11. I think mine weighs 6 and it does fine. I do have the chain version instead of their fuse version which adds a little weight as well. The key is having enough line out, more in heavier current and the times I wanted to use it and couldn't because of current too strong i probably shouldn't have been anchoring anyways.
  12. i have used chain, window weights, dumbells etc but two seasons ago i bought one of the Da' Bomb anchors and haven't looked back. They work very well, especially in rivers and I have yet to hang one up. I primarily fish a rocky freestone style river.
  13. There is a place here in the best burger city in America there are a few places that use glazed donuts as a bun, better than you think and one of my favorites when available is two grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun.
  14. I absolutely love the Howitzer flies and while there are a few times a year they seem to want the splat of deer hair 99% of the time foam heads work just as well. I did make the murdich minnow based on yours and I didn't have the large Estaz but the finesse changer chenile seemed to work fine.
  15. The runny part is what adds the fat to the burger in place of like mayo for example and adds richness. I have had them fried hard too and they are good as well on a burger. And as far as cooking an egg "properly" there is no wrong way to cook an egg as long as it is how you want to eat it.
  16. When I have the time I will grind some short rib and chuck roast to make the patties and it is the way to go. I like a basic burger with just some cheese but I also like to grill some jalapenos and sweet onions then dice them up and put them on top which I then cover with one slice of pepper jack and another slice of either sharp cheddar or some white american cheese. If you have never tried a fried egg on a burger......you should they are fantastic with a semi-runny yolk.
  17. I kind of feel the same way with burgers. There are pizza places that are worse than others for sure but it is still edible 99% of the time.
  18. Tied a few flies here lately.

Yeah I know off topic but....define best cars exactly.
  20. The best parts place for all kinds of stuff from lawnmowers to appliances to reels. 100% legit site.

Haven't tried it but it looks like a modern day flying lure rig really.
  22. Not sure to be honest but probably so. You can always use a plate on the back or even a rivet or well nut too. There are a lot of options out there if yo uare looking to make it more secure but I think you would be surprised at how much it can take without ripping free. I personally would just go with the standard set up and if it rips out, then go ahead and reinforce it.
  23. You talking about for a kayak I take it? I don't have pics but I have been using the yak attack leverlock basically since it came out and have zero complaints.
  24. I didn'g even know chain pizza existed until i moved to Virginia for college. Chain pizza sucks and i will take a bad mom & pop pizza joint over the best chain place any day of the week. I will say that much like sometimes I want that crappy blue box mac & cheese for nostalgia reasons, I will want some Pizza Hut since it reminds me of being a kid and that was a major treat and they had the all you could eat buffet.
  25. People who get irritated about things that are out of their control People who state things and when asked for a source can't provide it People who believe in conspiracy theories beause that is easier than learning about an actual topic People who think school systems are places to live out their political dreams
