That reversed PI call was as bad as i have ever seen. oh well, i can only hope they lose next week now, and i think they will

personally i would be nervous using one in a canoe on moving water due to the limited freeboard and how easy it would be for current to get things squirrelly and potentially swamp the boat,

Seattle didn't have the toughest SOS but it was the toughest of all playoff teams and it was right up the top overall but where they did excel is at their strength of victory, which was top of all playoff teams by a good margin...Seattle is going to be real tough to beat this year, again but i do think carolina can give them a run if their defense can keep playing at a high level like thy have the past 5-6 weeks. on a similar side note, dallas had the easiest SOS of everyone in the league.....

I haven't gone out for new year's eve since the turn into 2000....I did get to continue my annual tradition of going out fishing on new year's day though.... Saw some fish stacked up in about 13 feet of water so i positioned my self to let the wind push me along and ended up catching this guy and two others....not big but still fun.

You are right i do remember the expo being the same time as the Bass Pro spring sale too...I am actually debating on heading out today it is a semi-tradition for me to go out fishing on new years day and have had some really good success when doing so. The worst though was one year i caught a citation sized bass on January 1st and i thought i was gonna have a great year....that was my only citation sized bass of the year lol oh well

About 18 months ago, when i started taking classes again, i needed a new laptop. I have an iPhone and an iPad 2 and love them both so i figured i would get a mac laptop....went with a macbook air and to make a long story short, i know have all mac products and don't see any reason to change that. My favorite two things though are the airport time capsule and the iMac. they are flat out awesome....

I saw these before. The concept is cool but the price is steep and their website drives me nuts...maybe it is because i am using safari but the header takes up 2/3 of the page making it hard to see anything...

Only certain types will not work in a thru hull application and from what i understand those are basically the side imaging versions. I have a $100 humminbird pirahnamax and have no complaints. it shows me depth and temperature even in a thru hull application fine. I am looking to potentially upgrade next year though and get a SI unit.

The amount of braid floating is not going to impact the depth your crank can run but the smaller diameter of the braid will get your cranks deeper with a higher strength than comparable mono or flouro. You also have to consider that most, if not all crankbaits are floating and that flotation is much higher than any braid is. I use braid on my crank bait set up and have zero complaints. I use 8lb diameter power pro super slick and would go smaller but my bait caster doesn't like braid skinnier than the 8lb diameter.

I tend to throw conventional gear more often when chasing largemouth but i always have a fly rod with me just in case i get into a pattern that is suitable for the long rod. Now for smallies, i rarely even bring the conventional gear with me on waters i am familiar with.

you usually see the elitists with trout guys, not warm water guys. There is a trophy fly fish only spring creek here in VA that holds some big browns. They are stocked as fingerlings and become wild pretty quick...I learned to fly fish there and was only interested in the big fish so i was always throwing big streamers more designed for smallies for the most part. I can't tell you how many guys who looked like they just stepped out of an arrives catalog who when asking me how i was doing and i would say doing well and then when i told them what i was catching them on they would turn up their nose and say i only fish dry flies, the way it was meant to be. Some says i would blow it off and laugh and others i would say well i prefer to catch larger fish more consistently oh and by the way, it is largely believed that the first every fly was indeed a wet fly and not a dry fly. Most of the people are fine though just the few bad eggs that give fly fisherman the elitist stereotype.

I rarely use a sinking line in all my fishing here on the east coast. Unless you are fishing still water, a sink tip is all you need at most and even then that is rare. Weighted flies do just fine. Fishing for trout, i have never seen conventional out fish fly rods. Fishing for bass, i enjoy it more with a fly rod but it is completely different and for the most part, fly fishing is easier and more productive where there is current involved, although nothing is better than a frog bite on a fly rod Smallmouth fishing to me is about the same fly or conventional unless they are really deep then there are better ways to fish.
