  1. Nobody expected philly to be here, including the biggest homer in the world, me. They are playing loose with low expectations so i really hope they keep it going and can pull out a win tonight. Got my shaved ribeye, onions, hot peppers and cheese ready to go for some cheesesteaks
  2. I think fishing jerseys are silly myself mainly because i don't see the technical advantage of wearing one. Yeah it is cool to wear anything to show your support of a particular company/team/website but to me a T-Shirt does that better. When i am fishing i want all my clothing to serve a purpose and being a kayaker i need synthetic light weight and breathable....other than cycling jerseys and synthetic t-shirts not many pieces of clothing fit the bill for me.
  3. I was being serious....i have no idea how it is spelled but my macbook apparently thought 'possum is a perfectly acceptable spelling lol
  4. let me see if i can clarify.....nope lol The only 'possum or however it is spelled i have seen close up ( i don't count the ones i would try and hit while driving to the river) was as a kid. I was probably abut 8 and about 2am my dad comes in to my room and wakes me up. Says put on your shoes and come with me. Of course i am like what the crap is going on. We go out side and in a trap he set up there was a "possum. that thing was nasty. All hissing and biting at the cage. The last thing i thought of was eating that little wretched.....
  5. I like the Rapala DT series for all the depths. I especially like their square bills and shallow clack n cranks
  6. I'll keep that in mind when the apocalypse happens....
  7. I am from the north and scrapple is nasty.....plain and simple

I find it interesting that the article states they would lose their "wealthy" clientele. Talk about a difference of stereotypes compared to here
  9. i haven't met or talked with anyone on this board yet but that doesn't mean i wouldn't should the opportunity present itself.
  10. If i can goout fishing in single digit weather i could sit at a game. The big thing is where your seats are in relation to the wind. Normally i would want to be by an aisle but in this case i would want to be right smack in the middle of a section.
  11. Some business will buy up the tickets that are left over...they always do. I was reading yesterday that the only game that was completely sold out was the Eagles game in Philly. And pretty much every cold weather team has fans that shovel the stadiums out.....makes things a whole lot easier on everyone and most get free general admission tickets to go along with it...
  12. Apparently they don't since the game still has 8k unsold tickets which is threatening a local blackout of the game....
  13. Topwaters work well in these situations too
  14. if you sell baits or anythign direct from the manufacturer you can still make plenty of money at wholesale prices otherwise they would be out of business. The retail store makes the money on the mark up from wholesale to retail. Kind of like car dealerships still make money on a car sold at "invoice" but the salesman doesn't unless there is a spiff or soemthing else going on. When i worked in the outdoor retail industry we would get pro deals from every company which was usually wholesale minus 30% aka what it cost them to produce the product.
  15. I just hope their complete lack of ability to win on the road and in cold weather continues.....should be some points scored though at the very least.
  16. Well i can tell you that if i don't go to the game in philly this weekend and the Eagles somehow win against the saints, I am planning on a road trip to charlotte for the next game
  17. You are right i don't care about the cheatriots It has hurt the Eagles too since they have lost a lot of coordinators over the years, some of which went on and won superbowls themselves....
  18. agreed and i think that is why the teams have the option of not allowing it to happen till they see fit.
  19. d**n....tickets sold out in minutes so i am out of luck unless i want to spring or $200 a pop tickets in the resale world....i think i am going to wait and see the result of this game and maybe make a road trip to carolina should they play them there
  20. I will also say that the hits i get when fishing these baits is nothing short of a freight train. It also seems like they hit hard to stun it then if you don't hook up, they hit it again. In these situations after the initial hit i usually pop the rod tip once and let it fall and they nail it again. Man, now i want to get out there and throw some....nothing beats feeling that thump of the tail when you find that perfect speed.
  21. Are you sure you are a Redskins fan, you are way to nice And thanks It will be a long drive but worth it in my book....only went to one eagles playoff game and it was a blast but this year's team has something special going on... I am glad people gave me cash for Christmas and not gift cards because that is where the money will be going
  22. are you tying the hook so the orientation is upwards? I am by no means a drop shot expert but i know this made a difference for me. I will also echo that with braid a big hook set isn't necessary and a wrist pop usually does the trick assuming you reeled in the slack.
  23. Tickets for the Eagles game go on sale at noon today......wish me luck That place is going to be rocking and i hope i can be there to watch it in person even though it is going to be in the teens that night....which hopefully plays out well for the Eagles and not so much for the saints
  24. I was labeled as philly and I am sure that hoagie and mischief night had something to do with it.....currently residing in virginia for about 14 of the last 18 years though but i guess where you grow up sticks with you for a while
  25. It is a big difference in people wanting to buy the boat maybe but it isn't a value adder. Much like Jeeps with lifts and big tires etc....it adds to people wanting the jeep but does little to nothing for overall value.
