  1. Good stuff for sure. I am also a big fan of Mike & Mike too. And it doesn't hurt that Golic was one of my favorite eagles back in the day. Not real sure why since he was on a team full of superstars and he was pretty much average but i always liked his work eithic i guess.
  2. I bet that barely covers expenses for the trip. I am not sure if there is a buy-in for the classic or not.
  3. i haven;t thrown the 3 arm rig or anything other than a single bait for that matter but the bass don't care. I will very often rig my yum money minnows doug stange style through the side and have a better hookup rate and action is still outstanding.
  4. I think it is perfect how it is myself. You are winning the ultimate prize and it is life changing both financially and in your career as an angler. Also making 45k in 3 days is nothing to be ashamed of I also imagine it is somewhat representative of sponsorship money as well.
  5. Yes, it is in store only. Online has standard pricing.
  6. Hell no you don't share.....until after the tournament for me if it was my brother I would share even less than normal I also think there are rules about talking about stuff like that but I could be wrong.
  7. After all the positive review here I picked one up for cranking as it is one of the only reels out there are lefty, under $100 and has a super low ratio. Hope it doesn't disappoint
  8. I went up today and picked up a PQ in the 4.7:1 ratio for cranking, some dt series rapalas and power pro. Place was packed for sure.
  9. And you also have to remember all the guys mentioned didn't make their money actually skateboarding it was all marketing. And yeah I know how hard a kick flip to a rail is to do as I busted myself up plenty of times trying to do it myself
  10. Around here they are a super popular bait for big flathead catfish.
  11. Anything can be learned outside the classroom but there is a reason college exists and you can learn things much easier in college than being thrown out to the wolves right away. Also the kid is good but i really wasn't totally blown away. you could go to love park in philly before they started arresting kids for skating and see the majority of these same trick but not at 12 years old.
  12. I will pick up a few to give them a whirl. I also haven't broken any rapala bills myself and the majority of time i throw a crank Rapalas are my goto bait.
  13. Stankxbaitco myself. transitioned form GYCB to yum dingers to now the stankx.
  14. Another good option is the st croix rage series. Same blank as the avid with micro guides and runs right at 150. I am thinking of picking one up myself in the 7'1" MHF variety myself for jigs.
  15. I am a big fan of trokars as well. I use them as often as i can but in a pinch i will by a gammy. No place locally has a good selection of trokars so i am usually relegated to ordering online when it is time to restock. The only disadvantage to the trokar is that since they have as much of an edge as a sticky point is that they tear up plastics more frequesntly and they really can't be resharpened. I'll take those disadvantages for the better hook up percentage. I would like to swap out my trebles to them but they are to pricey for my blood....
  16. PB blaster is awesome. I used it when i put the lift on my 95 wrangler. Starting spraying the shackle bolts the night before and the next day it was golden. I will also echo what has been said here that WD-40 statys away from my fishing suff. It seems to attract dirt in my experience.
  17. It is a store deal not a shimano deal for the trade in. I know last year i picked up a citica with the reel trade in and manufacturer rebate i saved $55 i think total.
  18. Process manager for a large financial institution....prbbaly the same one as TriCityBassin' if i had to make a guess....
  19. I just had to replace the throttle body on my fiancee's 2004 GMC envoy. 2000 Subaru outback with about 160k or so. I sold my 95 wrangler 4cyl and it had about 175k and i just saw it driving around the other day so i guess it is still going strong.
  20. Curling is pretty cool. I got into it last Olympics and actually went and played, not as easy as it looks. The other plus is the chicks always wear tight pants Now anyone play frisbee golf?
  21. If the eagles are playing I am watching assuming I am not at the game. I will miss a few phillies games in the summer but I get updates on my phone. Also there is no way I can DVR a game. To know that the result is out there but I can't see it seems crazy to me.....
  22. 67-68 when we are home and up and about. I turn it down to 63 at night and when we are not home. Having a programmable thermostat helps
  23. So,I guess college fishing isn't a NCAA sanctioned sport and is more of a club deal? Makes sense since people can have individual sponsors.
  24. I like the braid for slack line myself as I can see the bites easier than flouro or mono. The limited to non existent stretch also is better for the hook set.
  25. I also prefer either a SOT or a hybrid style boat myself. I would also take a hard look at the native redfish line of boats. They are a few hundred more than that boat and it would be brand new. My first kayak was a redfish 12 and I loved that boat. One of my buddies bought it from me and it is still going strong. Also look for used boats on Craigslist or other bulletin boards a lot of people unload boats this time of year.
