  1. I think the circus is just beginning.....When it will get good is if the yankees decide they want to try and void his contract which i think has about 5 years and over 100M left on it.....Could be a great out of the contract reason for them. Of course being a phillies fan i hope they pay him till he is old and gray and even less of an impact player than he already is.
  2. I checked their website and it said it was only 16.99 a can and 14.99 if you buy three. Coverage is obvisouly the limiting factor on how many cans you need. I might give it a whirl....
  3. I wonder if i could use it to keep the sides of my kayak clean. I doubt it is durable enough for use on teh bottom but who knows.

    Bought mine last year
  5. Sounds to me like you really need to learn how to use electronics and what advantages/disadvantages each unit has. I am by no means an expert but without getting sidescan any fish you see you are going to have already went past. I use mine more for looking for structure that should hold fish, think drop offs, humps, weed lines etc... I had my unit ofr over a year before i really started putting the time into learning it over this winter and it has definitely helped me out finding potential pre spawn areas and summer deep water holding areas. The other thing to rememebr is just because you get a unit that shows yo ueverything doesn't automatically mean your fishing is going to improve Also, pretty much every unit wil lcome with a transducer. I cannot think of one that doesn't but i wanted to be on the safe side

The best purchase for me with the p90x was a set of the selctable dumbells. My first time around i had the screw lock jobs and the hassle and extra time it took sucked. I didn't get the soloflex ones but some other brand that goes up to 50lbs and more weight can be added later on if needed but for me 50lbs is enough for the majority of the workouts in there with the exception of the lawnmower and heavy pants but it still is plenty for a good burn, for now at lesat http://www.powerblock.com/prod_homeuse_elite5-50.php It still amazes me how good of a workout you can get from pretty much all body weight exercises. One thing i will say is if you are loking for a ab burning workout with less stress on your back give the abcarver pro a shot. Seems gimmicky but after doing my first workout with it yesterday, which was more of a test and get used to the equipment deal, my abs are definitely sore today.

So why didn't you finish the p90x, just curious. I have friends that do the insanity and it just isn't my thing i guess. I prefer the weight training. Luckily for me i already have a pretty decent diet so it isn't some huge life change to follow their plan. P90x is definitely an intense workout though and there are aspects i am not to fond of like the yoga/balance workout....seems like a waste of time to me so i just ride my bike instead

Yeah the first time i did the p90x workout i couldn't do the entire ab workout until the second to last week. That thing is nuts and anyone who doesn't think so either is lying saying that htey can do it all or they are like one of the people on the videos who have about 2% body fat and completely ripped. I looked at the insanity workout but i do my cardio type stuff elsewhere by cycling so that is why i stuck with the p90x. I am debating on getting the p90x2 once i finish this round of workouts though.
  9. Can you elaborate on how having an exposed blank behind the reel adds to an increase in sensitivity? I just can't figure out how that would work.
  10. I am not sure exactly other than i like it when making the longer casts. I totally think it is a preference thing though.

So i figured now was as good a time as any to start working out again and since i had done the p90x and had good results i figured i would go for it again. I forgot how good these workouts really are. Of course like any workout you get results based on what you put into it and if soreness is indicative of effort i busted my buitt Due to a bum back i am skipping their ab workout as it requires you to lay on your back and i just can't do it for as long as i would like so i picked up the abcarver pro wheel type system. That thing is brutal!! Anyways just wanted to put it out there if anyone is thinking about it go for it and stick to it and the meal plan, which is really good and flexible, and you will see results. I could stand to lose probably 15lbs or so and in one week i have lost about 5 already.
  12. I have done pretty well with squarebills this winter too. Alot of hte lakes i fish are relatively shallow so getting down to the 3'-5' range works pretty well. I was fishing last time throwing a DT10 and caught a couple but i was seeing baitfish on my depth finder in the 4'-7' range so i figured why not throw a square bill. It turned out to be the ticket and i caught 5 more fish later on that day.
  13. I don't think there is anyway not to pick him first overall. He is a special player that you don't see very often.
  14. I have had three times where carp were feeding on top and it was crazy fun, especially on my 4wt
  15. The key also to being a pro is consistency. They perform at a high level day in and day out. Sure I could put together a great day here and there but to do it day in and day out no matter the conditions or the water that is what separates the men from the boys.
  16. Wow I thought about doing that but figured I shouldn't be greedy but I guess I should have!! Nice score there.
  17. So I bought 2 originally, 6'8" MHF Casting and. 6'8"MXF spinning and my freebie was a 7'1"MF spinning. Looking forward to trying them out this weekend if it doesn't get ridiculously cold
  18. Ah yes, 1999, the year i would have graduated college on a 5 year plan had i not dropped out to go climbing for a few years
  19. Just wanted to put it out there that St. Croix did an outstanding job on their rebate program. I dropped my receipt, form and rod tags in the mail on th 19th here in VA. And lo and behold while cooking dinner i hear my doorbell. I go to the door and see some tail lights going down the street and a rod tube on my porch. 10 days to receive, process and ship a free item is pretty outstanding. Much better than the shimano rebate last year that took about 14 weeks....
  20. Definitely more genuine story lines this year than in the past and so far none involve drunken late night debauchery. I have never heard as many people say "you know i really like both teams" as i have this year. This will be the first superbowl i have really looked forward to watching since 2004
  21. it is definitely a different type of fishing and mentality for sure. it is as much being out in the mountains catching native fish after native fish that keeps me going. Besides, it is always fun to be able to catch fish on top no matter what month of the year it is
  22. For the dramatic effect of course....they have 3 days to release him or they have to pay him i believe, somewhere in the neighborhood of 8M i think.
  23. Living in Harrisonburg you need to pick up flyfishing and go after trout. You are blessed ot be near some outstanding fisheries and some are even spring fed i.e. constant water temps pretty much year round. My largest brown trout i caught on a day where the mercury barely got into the double digits but the water was still in the high 40's i believe
  24. I should have added what day they are going to release Michael Vick....1,2 or 3 days after the Superbowl.
  25. At what point does the lightweight design take away from durability? For me in a kayak i find myself banging rods and reels a little more than when i am in a regular boat. It does look pretty sweet though....
