  1. Worth giving them a shot at least...i think they run deals where you buy 6 you get a bag free or something like that too.
  2. The other thing is how are you really going to move it once it has been built? I mean yeah you can make it like a shed and all but that is not going to be an easy thing to move. My dad had a boat while i was growing up and we never had a garage or storage unit. He did have a customer boat cover and that thing looked as good as new when he sold it ten years later. Get the boat cover and be done with it and save a whole lot of money in the process.
  3. Well i lived in the harrisonburg area for about 10 years so if you want some spots that i know produce and you can wade there for a few hours easily just let me know Although you will need to leave that shiny bass boat at home....
  4. Wow no smallies yet? You definitely need to get on some of those brown bass for sure
  5. I had a 6'6" MHF mojo bass casting rod that i broke about 8" off and it works great for topwater. I may even cut the butt down to make it a touch shorter to help when working walk the dog style baits.
  6. I don't know anything about the *** but I own the kistler. It is a really nice rod for throwing cranks. Good backbone, parabolic bend and great sensitivity. I think you will be happy with that rod for sure.
  7. Yes sir.
  8. I am not a big chicken fan in general. On a side note I see in your profile you list smoots as a favorite pond.....one of mine too
  9. Flacco will be in Baltimore at least one more year and if Baltimore slaps the franchise tag on him they will probably save some money and then sign him long term mid year. I have a feeling he is going to have big head syndrome though given when asked he said yeah I am a raven for life but you never know what will happen. And that jags logo isn't that bad, how would you feel,if you were a New Orleans hornets fan and now they change entirely to the New Orleans pelicans, that is a reason to change teams
  10. I am not sure of the rules for college fishing if they are the same as other NCAA sports but be careful of sponsorships as you could lose eligibility. I know I couldn't even take a prize pack from hoop it up tournaments if it was over a certain amount or I would risk losing eligibility to play college ball. The other thing is say you find a sponsor like st croix and things are great and you head to college and join their fishing team but the school is sponsored by kistler. All of the sudden you have to drop st croix after they helped you get started. I would say work on getting straight A's fish all you can and even fish tournaments. Read all you can and figure out what you want to go to college for, marketing, fisheries biology, IT etc... Sponsors will come with time if that is what you want to pursue but if they don't you don't want to be that guy with a bass boat who lives with their parents at 40 years old because you didn't prepare for the long haul.
  11. It also wouldn't hurt to take a class or seminar on the basics of investing. There are a lot of nuances and data that you can use to make informed decisions.
  12. Spinnerbaits and Texas rigged plastics would be a good choice. Some people also like them for throwing square bills too.
  13. I don't think he is worth 20M a year but as we all know NFL contracts are pretty varied and it really depends on how much of that cash is guaranteed money.
  14. I would call an attorney first and go with it from there. I do not think this is a criminal matter so not sure what a police report will do but the idea of small claims court will probably be the only recourse you have unfortunately.
  15. They definitely work. I like the GYCB but i have since moved to the stankxbaitco sitck baits. They are more durable than the GYCB and have more action than the YUM Dinger so to me it is a great balance between the two and the price is way better. It also doesn't hurt that they do customer colors and plastic densities for a nominal additional fee.
  16. I saw that article too. My best guess yankees fans are probably saying yeah so we can add him to the list after jeter, a-roid, rivera, Sabathia (although he is borderline cause he is pretty good) etc..... The only every day player i would take off the yankees roster is Cano, that guy is a beast all around.
  17. Welcome aboard.
  18. Hmmmm tough choices here but I am going to go with my sage XP 9' 7wt. It was my first premium fly rod that I earned by working and guiding at the local fly shop. Since it was a pro deal I even got to have my name on the blank.....love that rod and have caught a lot of smallies and largemouth on it for sure.
  19. Can't help with most but there is really no recipe for roux other than equal parts fat and flour cooked until you get the desired color. The lighter the color the more the thickening power.
  20. I always wanted a Rolex....to me it is jewelry and something that can be passed down to my son. Unfortunately I don't have one yet
  21. I would agree to go catch another one bigger and be sure.
  22. I forgot about that one since I usually fish solo. I would also say look at the Plano bump board, expands out to 36" I think and floats and is cheaper than the metal bass pro rulers.
  23. Definitely close and I believe in Virginia you have to have a picture of the bass on a measuring device for a citation.
  24. Nah i'll take Foles for a full season before i go after smith.
