Favorite War Movies
A lot of good ones on here. How could I have forgotten Saving Private Ryan. And I didn't even think about Tora Tora Tora or Hamburger Hill. The Patriot, Glory, Patton, Master and Commander, Enemy at the Gates....all awesome! I only saw a couple episodes of The Pacific but that was good too. I need to buy the box set to go with my Band of Brothers. Sure Star Wars counts! Total Star Wars nerd over here! Mostly original Star Wars....not so much the newer ones.

Type Of Equipment You Carry?
I fish from the bank too and try and keep it as simple as possible. I just bring 2 rods and my tackle box. The tacklebox holds all my lures/plastics/hooks/weights, pliers, and a camera/batteries. Theres a couple spots where I can park right next to where Im fishing and in that case, Ill tie my baits on at the car and leave the tackle box in the trunk until needed.

Which ones do you guys like? My top 3 are Platoon, A Bridge Too Far, and the HBO mini series Band of Brothers.

Getting A Dog
Personally, I'd go with a shelter dog but thats just my oppinion. I like the idea of giving a loving home to an animal that maybe hasn't ever really had one. As to what kind of dog, I dunno. I have an Austrailian Shepherd and hes an awesome dog. Lots of energy and too smart for his own good. But it doesn't have to be a pure bred dog. My parents have a mutt and shes a sweetheart. It all depends on what your looking for. Do you want a dog thats going to frolick and play and go for hikes with you in the woods or are you looking for something like a lap dog whose gonna slug around the house all day? Whatever you want, the folks at your local shelter will be more than happy to help pair you with a furry friend thats right for you.

First Bass Of 2013
Nice! I was gonna go out sometime in the next couple days and try some soft plastics cuz I figured the water was still pretty cold but I'd much rather fish a 1.5. Maybe Ill give it a try.

Productive Day!
Nice! I went out Thursday for some trout and they wouldn't hit my spinners either. I didn't have any powerbait but there were a bunch of other guys there fishing it and they weren't catching anything either so I don't think it would have made a difference. The bass need to start biting. Im getting tired of trout.

What To Learn First?
Im starting to get this way. Planning on trying to slow down this year. The fish don't always want a crankbait burned past them and I need to come to terms with that.

I'll Never Forget The Time...
It probably was. I think it was sometime in the summer of 2010.

I'll Never Forget The Time...
This happens to me a lot. My dog climbs in the bed while Im sleeping, I wake up and my dogs face is about 2 inches from mine. But sometimes though, its his butt instead of his face. A couple years ago we had a small earthquake. I woke up cuz my bed was skaking. I yelled at my dog cuz I thought he was pushed up against the bed and scratching himself or something but then I relized the house was skaking too. Only lasted a minute or two. It was actually kinda neat to expierience. Im sure I wouldn't feel that way though if it was one of the larger quakes that actually cause damage.

Need Help With Fishing Shallow Ponds
Sounds like most of the lakes that I fish. Im like 30 minutes from the Maryland Deleware line so they're probably pretty similar. Im always fishing from the shore so I don't really know about fish finders and all that. If it is only 4 ft deep, the water temp shouldn't fluxuate too much between the deep points and the shallows. If you can't find any offshore stucture, try some of the shoreline cover. Im not sure what you should throw Tuesday but when it warms up and the bass get more active, I'd be throwing squarebills at every bit of shoreline cover I can find. Keep in mind that Im still fairly new to bass fishing so take all this with a grain of salt. Just my thoughts.

What To Learn First?
I agree that a T-rig would be a good place to start. If the bite is tough, try a t-rigged or wacky rigged senko or senko style bait. Once you feel like you have t-rigs down, maybe move onto some kind of moving bait like cranks or spinnerbaits. Try and master a technique before moving on to something else. If your watching Glenns videos, your on the right track so pay close attention. And like Nitrofreak said, a very large part of fishing is building up your confidence. So take your time, don't let yourself get overwhelmed and practice practice practice. Try and make mental notes (or you could even keep actual written logs) on where you catch fish, what you caught them on, and what the water/weahter conditions were. After a while, you can start to apply what you've learned from this everytime you go out. Just take it slow, keep at it, and eventually it will all start to fall into place.

New Techniques
This year I wanna try and learn to fish jigs and get more proficient at t-rigged soft plastics. I catch some on the t-rig but I feel like Im missing a lot. I think someone in another post said something about braid improving the sensitivty and making it easier to feel bites so maybe Ill try using braid for my jigs/worms. I also wanna catch something on a spinnerbait. Ive been fishing them a lot but for some reason never got a bite on them.

What Did You Ingest That Wasn't What You Thought It Was?
This except it was a Snapple Ice Tea bottle. I guess I just wasn't paying attention.

Bill Lewis Ratl-Trap
I found one stuck up in a tree a few months ago. Hooks are rusted and need to be changed out but Im planning on fishing it this season. Looks like a good bait to me. Tried it out today just to see what kind of action it had and I gotta say I liked it a lot. Hopefully I can catch some nice chunky fish on it this year.
