Im a delivery driver for Dominos. I also make the pizzas. Im kind of the man at my store. Im quicker on my deliveries, I make better looking pizzas than the 2 assisstant managers and Im the highest paid driver even though pretty much everyone else has been there at least 6 months longer than me. Sometimes Ill be making 2 pizzas at once while telling my manager what toppings go on a certain specialty pizza. Its kind of sad sometimes. I swear that store would fall apart without me and I think they know it. Thats why when I mentioned I was looking for another job, they basically threw money at me. I know its only Dominos but if Im gonna delivery pizzas, Im gonna strive to be the best delivery driver I can be. That all may have sounded sort of arrogant but hey, its not arrogance if its true.

I had a 91 Oldmobile. Before the speedometer broke it had over 200k. Then I delivered pizzas in it for a year and a half so who knows. Probabaly do at least 100-200 miles a day. Pizza delivery is rough on a car. Im pretty sure Im getting a 04 Elantra on Thursday. Nothing fancy but anythings better than my last piece of junk.

Ill start by saying that Ive never fished Lake Norman nor do I even know where it is. As for depth, that will depend on the time of year. The bass will be deeper in the winter and will start moving up shallower as the lake begins to warm. Now as for color, personally I'd say it doesn't make as much difference as you'd think. Ive caught fish on cranks that were green, purple, red, gold, and pretty much every color with the word 'shad' in it. But I guess if I had to choose one or 2 colors, I'd go with Sexy Shad or Red Craw or something along those lines. But when it comes to crankbaits, I think the action of the bait is a bigger factor then the color.

Way to go man! Im still going after trout till it warms up a bit more. Weathers been back and forth. 50's for 3 days then back down to 30s for a week. Supposed to be 40's next week. Its getting there I suppose but it seems like its taking forever.

For me theres really no reason to be brand loyal. I haven't been fishing long enough. For example, I really like fishing KVD 1.5's but I don't plan on fishing them exclusively. I know theres a ton of other squarebills out there. I still have many years of fishing ahead of me and I wouldn't want to deprive myself of anything by sticking with a single brand. On the other hand, my fishing funds are pretty slim so usually when Im buying gear I have a specific price range I need to stay in and that sort of limits me. I'd like to try some of the higher end stuff but right now thats just not feasible. I only own two combos and one of them is a 40 dollar Shakespeare 'Catch More Bass' combo from WalMart. I know theres probably some people out there that wouldn't be caught dead with it but it works for me. Caught fish on it all last summer and fall and Ill probably keep on fishing it til it breaks. Like ww2farmer said, peoples oppinions are always going to differ and pretty much any rod/reel can catch fish..

I just figured I'd check what the penalty would have been for keeping too many trout. They would have got a $250 - $1000 fine and/or license suspended for 6-12 months. But then I think to myself, if they were just blatantly ignoring regulations, what are the odds that they even had a license in the first place.

Didn't know they could take your gear too. Sucks for that guy but oh well. He got what he deserved. Funny stuff.

I don't understand poachers. Its just not worth the fine and possibly having your license suspended. I was hoping DNR would roll up on these guys. Aside from being illegal, it affects fishing in the near future. They only realease a couple hundred trout at a time. If 20 people keep 10 fish the first day, there isn't much left to fish for. It was a fun day. It was my first time out in about a month and a half and I was happy to be able to wet a line. Most of the people were using spinners and doing pretty good. There were a couple guys there using live bait or powerbait or something and not catching much at all. Just casting it out and letting it sit and looking bored the whole time. Thought about trying powerbait before but no thank you. Too cold to just stand there and stare at the water. The meat on these was nice and pinkish red. Ive had them before after they'd been in the creek for a few months and they tasted better. These weren't bad though. My girlfriends an excellent cook. Thinking about going out maybe Monday morning and doing some catch and release.

Thats true. I didn't even think about that. I guess I should be grateful. I know a lot of guys out there still have ice.

The charges for more than one rod....is that for more than one rod fishing at a time or more than one on the boat? If you have 5 rods on your boat but only fish one at a time, do you still need it? Just curious.

Ive been planning on going out after some trout today for a while. While I was looking at the MD DNR website last night to check something for another thread, I realized that they just stocked my creek yesterday and the day before. When I go on weekday mornings I usually have the lake all to myself but I figured with the recent stocking, there might be a couple other people there...no big deal. When I got there at sunrise I couldn't believe it. There were like 10 cars and 15 to 20 people and there really isn't that much room on the dam and along the creek banks. Of course every spot I had planned to fish had 2 or 3 people in it. I was pretty irritated and figured my day was off to a bad start. I know I know....public lake and all that. They have a right to fish it. Like I said, Im spoiled and used to having the lake to myself. Found an opening where I could squeeze in and started throwing a grey/white inline spinner. I had a follow on my first cast and after a couple more I caught a nice rainbow. I ended up catching my 5-fish limit so the day turned out ok after all but I would have rather only caught one or two and not been crowded by all those people. It wouldn't have been so bad if they were at least following the fishing regulations. Theres signs everywhere that say 5 fish limit but there were quite a few guys there catching them left and right and keeping way more than they should. I caught my limit, went to a more secluded part of the lake to try out the new combo I got for bass and drove by an hour later and they were still there. Anyway this is getting kind of lengthy so Ill wrap it up. Caught 5 rainbows in about 1 and a half. 3 on the spinner and then 2 on a Strike King Bitsy Minnow. Im gonna eat good tonight!

Im pretty sure your not supposed to target them without a stamp. Although like I said, I could be wrong. Im still kind of new to this. Im sure someone else who knows better will chime in. All I know is the creek I go to has signs that say "put and take trout area - 5 fish limit: trout stamp required" so I throw down the $5 extra bucks so I have something to fish for in the winter.

I don't know about other states but Im pretty sure the reason MD charges extra for trout is because they do a lot of stocking and the extra money goes into that. I could be wrong but Im pretty sure most of the trout in MD are stocked.
