  1. This thread sounds kinda neat. Maybe Ill post a pic later tonight when my girlfriend goes to bed. She won't be too happy if I empty my tackle box all over the living room floor to take a picture.
  2. Nice! Glad your still catching em. Im pretty much done til spring.
  3. Hello and welcome!
  4. Welcome to Bass Resource!
  5. Ha! Nice. I actually heard that a few years ago but forgot about it until this post. Thats some funny stuff right there.
  6. Hello and welcome. You've come to the right place. If you have any questions, odds are that someone here has an answer for you.
  7. Can't wait to look in my stocking next Tuesday and find a fat stack of Bass Pro giftcards so I can buy some RageTail Baits. Then its just a matter of waiting til spring when the fishing picks up again so I can use them.
  8. X's 2. I like the Strike King 1.5's and the Bandit 200's. Id say that I probably caught most of my fish this past summer and fall on these 2 baits in various colors.

  11. Hello and welcome to BR!
  12. Thats awesome man. I remember having a day like that when I was about 10 years old. It was me, my dad, and my brother and sister. Seemed like everytime as soon as we threw our line out we had a fish on and they were all big. My dads got a picture of me holding a striper that was as big as I was. Went striper fishing off a small fishing pier at a park recently and caught a small one but haven't been out on a boat in years. Congratualtions...good looking fish!
  13. Ive seen the wakes your talking about and Ive thrown baits at them but no luck over here.
  14. J Francho's post just made me think of it. Up in Baltimore theres a bar called 'Dicks Halfway Inn'
  15. I mostly fish shallow crankbaits since my lakes aren't much more than 5-8 feet deep. Can't wait til the topwater bite starts up again though.
  16. My local Walmart has some Bomber Cranks for like 2.99 but no buy 3 get one free deals. Is this online somewhere or a local shop?
  17. Welcome! Its a good bunch of people here.
  18. Didn't realize they made a thermometer specifically for fishing. Forget the pool thermometer. Go with that instead,
  19. Welcome to BR!
  20. First welcome to Bass Resource. Second I'd say pick up a swimming pool thermometer. Not sure how long you'd have to leave it in to get an accurate reading though.
  21. Very nice fish and also a very informative report! Thanks for the input and welcome to BR!
  22. I know a guy that only uses black frogs regardless of light/clarity. He does just fine. That being said though, Im with WRB. If theres heavy cover or low light, the bass are probably just looking for silhouette/action. But if the waters fairly clear, Im gonna go with natural frog colors.
  23. If the algae is on the bottom maybe try topwater. Throw a frog or popper.
  24. Thats awesome! Seems like 1 Big-O fish equals 5 of mine. Think Im gonna move to Texas.
