  1. That is quite a fish! What a TANK
  2. Very impressive! Those are some true FOOTBALLS!
  3. Got out on Powder Mill Pond today... This place was completely dry about month, month and a half ago but I saw it was filled and had to check it out! Turned out to be a really nice day once I got the wind situation under control and had a solid pattern going.. They were nailing moving baits and I kept them large, got 5 bass that were all over 3lbs and the biggest was pushing 4... No giants, but a great solo mission, will be back at it tomorrow in another location, tight lines!
  4. Yeahhh man! That's what I'm talking about! Way to slay em out there!
  5. Great fish and great pics! Love the eyes on the big gal!
  6. CANNOT go wrong with Rage Tail, whether your fishing them weightlesss, texas rigged, rage rigged, drop shot, on the back of a jig (my favorite) you name it they will certainly produce! I've found rage rigging to be an effective way to fish soft plastics when the bite is slow but you don't wanna totally switch to a finesse application... A rage rigged smokin rooster is straight deadly, the fall makes me wanna jump in the water and grab onto it myself! Also experimented with drop shotting with the bug this year which turned out some great results! Keep at it!
  7. What a great fish man congrats on the new PB! That thing is THICK!
  8. Snowed on me too it was a cold one... 3 small fish and 2 frozen hands
  9. Ahhh man, let me first off say that I too tend to boat swing fish in the moment... I also fish out of a canoe and some swings are sketchier than others especially when they are in the 5+ range. Last night after I swung in a 5 my line snapped with the hudd still embedded in the top of the fish's face, with the fish in the boat at least. I know I would have been upset if that had happened mid-air losing a fish that is half the size that you speak of. Keep at her, She has to eat again sometime...
  10. Yesss it is getting cold.. Glad to see it isn't keeping you off the water though, it pays off!
  11. I fished out "deep" (5-7ft) at first with a jig and the hudd and got nothing and did that for probably half the trip actually... When I finally moved shallow I was seeing some gills moving around which caught my attention and I started to slowly swim it in and around the lillies. Both were shallow, not a single swipe in the offshore stuff..
  12. Just got back from a short 2 hour outing with two fish, one good one... They were both real shallow in 1-2 ft of water and came on the 4" huddleston weedless shad (golden shiner)... Here's the brute at 5.1
  13. Congrats to her on the PB!
  14. Looks like its time to invest in a few blades... That's a CHUNK, great fish!
  15. Wasn't out for long, 4 fish biggest just over 2 pounds.. Swim jig Good luck to whoever else is hitting some water!
  16. Gonna be getting out in a little bit... Definitely going to be tossing around the line thru trout again today, spinnerbait, jigs, and squarebills will certainly make an appearance as well. This is my type of day to be on the water!
  17. I love me some copperfield!
  18. Dang nice fat fish there! Sounds like a real nice spot...
  19. Congrats on the PB such a beautiful fish! Real healthy fish in that place...
  20. Surfs up! Hahaha that is brutal!
  21. The funny thing is there are no trout native to the spot I was fishing. It leads into a river inhabited by trout but I was comfortable with a trout color because the water was so stained, almost muddy, that I figured a fish wouldn't shy... And it paid off, but it does make me want to throw it in some bodies of water near me that get stocked with trout..
