Bassin' Magazine???
I have only seen one issue all winter. Can't find a copy in Walmart, Kmart, or any of the supermarkets. Are they still in business?

Last resort to save a day?
I all else has failed, there are a few things I do: Skip Rocks. Go Swimming. Turn over a log and see whats underneath. Then I come back and try a few more different baits after I am relaxed.

Help Me Start a Crankbait Collection!
Affordable, excellent cranks: Bandit 100, 200, 300 Rapala DT Series Strike King KVD Square Bill Rebel Wee Frog If money is not an option... Buy Lucky Craft RC 1.5s and 2.5s and anything by Megabass. I love the Megabass Cyclones and Griffons. Look on Ebay for some older Bagleys KB1s KB2, BB2s and BB3s.

Dunno how good those bass magic swimbaits are, but they were marked down from 6, to $4, then to a dollar. Couldn't pass it up. If it turns out they suck then I'll just give it to my kids to play with.

I might've gotten one over on the bait monkey
Went valentines day shopping for the wife and had to visit the fishing section... Found a mess of spinnerbaits and jigs for a buck each. SCORE! (Paid regular price for the KVD Square Bill...) I removed the pic because it was too big. Here is a link to it: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RGva-m4ZPqs/TVRmjI85qnI/AAAAAAAAAOM/HrHcDmvJwec/s1600/P1140310.JPG

newer plastics
I bought a few packs of the Yum mighty bugs and really like them. Lots of vibration and movement and they really hold up. I have used them on a shaky head and rigged weightless, both ways produced. Gonna pick up more when I get to BPS next.

Can someone suggest, or do we have a sponsor that sells buzzbaits?
Agree with just about everyone that the Cavitron is a monster bait. If I am not throwing a Cavi, I throw a Booyah with the clacker. Sometimes they want it really noisy...

Thanks! Advice taken. Saving the gas.

Eastern Sports and Outdoors Show
Any reports on the show this past weekend? I was thinking about going up, but do not see very many legitimate tackle vendors listed on their website. I don't want to make the 3hr drive if it sucks...

crankbait identification help needed
That's totally up to you. That bait will fetch about $10-15 bucks on ebay which is no different from buying and using a Lucky Craft lure... I haven't had much luck on the small fry breams in my area (NOVA), but who knows elsewhere. If you decide to keep it and use it, buy or make a lure retriever.

Spro Little John
I think I am the only one out of all my fishing buddies that can't catch a fish on one. :-[

Minnow wakebaits?
Bagley makes a Killer B2 wakebait that is pretty good. Tough to find though.

Bagley Small Fry Bream. The Lead Bead and the brass hardware in the lip makes it an old one, very desired.

The oldest
I have a Daiwa BW2 labeled 'Hi Speed' 5.2:1 with 2 Graphite Bearings. I've put that reel through h3ll and it still performs. Only problem is it is a right handed reel... Another that I use for a salt water rig is Quantum Dynamag 1311. It has also taken quite a beating... The performance of these two reels is why I stick with those two companies now.

H2O Xpress Cranking Shad
Does anyone have feedback on this bait? I just won a bunch of them as part of a lot on ebay. Are they patterened after a LC bait like other H2O lures are?

A few hand poured Gobies
Nice. They remind of Jar Jar Binks. I would love to stick a hook thru Jar jar... j/k man, they look nice. I bet those google eyes add a little bit of sound.

New Rick Clunn crankbait
I bought a Rick Clunn bait a few years ago from BPS. I can't remember the brand (not LC), but it had funny notches and grooves molded into it. It was a stinker. I'm really good at catching dinks ( ), and not even my legion of dinks hit on this one. I hope the lucky strike bait is a better effort than that one. On Edit: It was called the Rick Clunn E.T.I. Orion. Sucked.
