  1. This movie is what put me firmly in the I now hate Metallica crowd. Lars and Hetfield are whining B****es thru the whole movie. They were a lot cooler as angry alcoholics. Now they're all therapied up and emotional. Ugh.
  2. Agree. Certainly. Absolutely.
  3. I have one from Strike King from many years ago. It is a sky color blue with a couple of light green strands. I've had to replace the rubber bands a few times because it is a hard color to find and it catches fish for me.
  4. I forgot to mention, I've tried a bunch of Manns and Strike King paddletails also with no success... I'll give them another spin now that the bite is more aggressive...
  5. The Highlander Die Hard Movies Tombstone Batman Begins & The Dark Knight Road Trip Lethal Weapon Movies Pirates of the Caribbean Any Kevin Smith movie with Jay and Silent Bob Starship Troopers The Lion King Serenity Forrest Gump
  6. I've given the King Shad several tries in the spring, summer and now, and haven't even had a follower... I want to try in the lower potomac soon though. If it keeps striking out for me, it'll go on a shelf and stay there... I do use the Lake Fork Live Magic Shad, a soft plastic swimbait, and do very well with it. The Bass want to kill it. Even in the heat of the day they would hit it.

  8. That makes far too much sense for it to work in our government.
  9. Seriously? I don't know that I''d blame a tv show, a movie, or a video game for these wackos... Their dementia started at home at an early age probably a form of neglect or abuse... Why not blame JRR Tolkien too, for creating those ents?
  10. I think we are doing OK now, we've found a happy medium between rabid nuttiness about the environment and corporate slop dumpers... If the rest of the world can keep up, they'll be all right do. The funny thing is, is that the solution is common sense back yard ecology that true hunters and fishermen have always practiced.
  11. I'm a big BPS guy, I love the store and could stay in just about any one of them for 10 hours if the wife would let me. That said, Greentop hands down beats the pants off of ANY BPS that I've been to for selection. They have stuff I haven't even heard of, or only heard rumors of. If I am within 50 miles of Greentop, you can bet I'll get there.
  12. $7 - That isn't too bad... Thanks for the info.
  13. I use Trions too, both spinning and BC. Haven't found a reel I like better yet... I am saving for a TD Viento, I love the idea of that twitch bar...
  14. Awesome, pass along the congratulations! How does it feel to be a grampa?
  15. I live in winchester, and have wanted to fish those. I don't camp, and the entry fee is too high to just fish for a day. Do they let fishermen go in there w/o paying the 1 night fee?
  16. I have four rods, and this is what I have been using for the last three weeks: Megabass Griffon Crankbait Green back/orange belly clear sides LC RC1.5 Blue back/chartreuse Crank Terminator Green White Spinnerbait with two colorado blades silver and gold Something either T-rigged or Weightless (10' Culprit Junebug Worm, Bass Assassin/Charm Assassin straight worm, Sweet Beaver, or an Ika.) I've been doing very well the last month, better than I have ever done before... I think it's a combo of the season, and a few things I've been working on coming together.
  17. Thanks! Every time we pass a pond, lake or river in the car now, the boy says, I want to 'Fish there with You!' I ask him what he'll use, and he says 'My Frog'... He likes the topwater action...
  18. I liked it a lot. But they blocked it where I work... We switched to www.slacker.com. Some thing.
  19. Apparently he was 'pleading' for the nationalization of AIG, and the others, according to many articles. I don't watch mad money, and don't have an opinion yet on cramer, but the little I've read in the last 10 minutes doesn't make him look like a rabid capitalist, but more of a socialist, so of course he'd like the government stepping in... On one hand I hate that the gov't keeps bailing these industries out. We have gov't propped up airlines, trains, banks, insurance, etc... Enough is enough. What's next, record companies or oil companies when lithium ion cars get really good? I'm sick of the government being so obesely powerful.
  20. Jim Cramer, CNBC?
  21. I wanted to do seven things this year: 1 Learn to fish with a baitcaster 2 Learn to fish a jig 3 Learn to ultra clear water 4 Get really aggressive with my expensive cranks 5 Teach my son to fish 6 Get better with soft plastics 7 Not fish a Senko at all So far: 1 - I am buying my third baitcaster, love them. Saving up for a Viento by TD. 2 - Failed. Haven't even tied one on yet. 3 - Failed, but not my fault. Even the usually super clear lake near me has been stained this year... 4 - Got very good with cranks. Threw even my LCs and Megabass lures into thick cover. Lost my compunctions about jumping in after a stuck bait. I've jumped in and dived for my baits about twelve times this year. Had some nice swims. 5 - My 8 yo daughter caught about fifteen bass this year, and just two weeks ago my 3 yo son caught his first bass, 2 pounds on a Zoom Horny toad. 6 - Got better I think. Learned to slow way down, and pay attention to the line. Can't do this when the kids are around, but otherwise I caught fish on many baits that I've never had success with before: Beavers, Brush Hogs, 10 inch worms. This also made me better with other soft baits like frogs, jerk baits, and worms. 7 - Have caught over 120 bass this year (not bad on 19 trips so far, IMO) and have not yet touched a senko. I bring them, just in case, but haven't needed them at all. That took more willpower than you can imagine.
  22. They are still around... In NoVA about 12 years ago they vandalized several construction sites, destroyed a lot of equipment, spray painted stuff, etc. They are loosely (probably more than loosely in reality) affiliated with the Earth Liberation Front Domestic Terrorism group. They have just gotten less attention lately, as these extreme leftist terrorist groups lately prefer to just attack economic conferences, political conventions (both democrat and republican) and G8 summits. If you are not at work (my job would fire me for visiting this website), I would suggest checking out the Earth first website, and here is an article of theirs espousing violence and destruction... This is a scary, scary group of terrible people. http://www.earthfirstjournal.org/article.php?id=408
  23. The government keeps bailing these companies out, and the march toward socialism continues... When do we petition to join the European Union?
