  1. I have only Tetris. It is great. I'm thinking about Texas Hold Em... How good is a shooter game on a cell phone though?
  2. What do the stars under people's user names mean? Some are gold, some are blue, some have 4 some have like 2. I looked around for their meaning, but am too lazy to keep looking.
  3. Non native species. If you find it, VA law will require you to kill it... Seriously don't know if there are pike in there, but I doubt it.
  4. The current at Algonkian is deceptively quick. The rapid water doesn't start until a few miles downstream from the launch ramp, so you have a while before you need to worry. I've always caught more bass on the launch side, with the fishing getting better upstream. My best baits on the river used to be Mepps Black Fury #3 w/red dots for Smallmouth, and black power worms and green/white spinnerbaits for LM... I haven't been fishing at Algonkian for about 10 years, so it might've changed... Last time I went is when I lived in Sterling, and back then there was no launch fee...
  5. I bought one yesterday, from the 'elite' series... It was not elite. The bill is weak, just like the other ones I bought. Hopefully it will last a full day of fishing. I doubt it. Luckily Gander had them in a clearance bin so I didn't have to pay full price for it. Will stick with Bandits after this.
  6. Catch a real snake and use it, and if you catch a bunch of fish on it, then buy the fake ones...
  7. It looks like once you get it going, that thing is going to have some cool action. Where can I send my check?
  8. I have a some Cyclones, Griffons, and Type X frogs, and I love every single bait. I think the Cyclone is one of the top 3 or 4 crankbaits out there, and wish BPS would carry them, instead of the smaller griffon. I sold all of my 'extraneous' lures on ebay and used the money to start my megabass collection. 6 Cyclones, 3 Griffons, and 7 Type X frogs so far. I'm working up the stones to put some cash down on a 110. These lures are comparable to none. Lucky Craft, in my opinion, can't touch them. Megabass are the 'apex predators' of the lure world.
  9. Warning for ordering bass assassin online... I ordered a ton of Charm Assassins a year ago (their version of the trick worm) directly from their official website, and about half of them were quite stiff, too stiff for me. I dunno if they forgot to add softener, or what, but take that into consideration.
  10. Wow, very cool. The only problem is those beaded chains rust pretty quickly and become brittle. I know this because I tried to use one to attach the flush arm of my toilet to the flapper. It lasted only a couple of days... Either way though, very neat.
  11. Wow. I just looked on Ebay, and they look horrible. Did you see those frogs? This is as bad as anything Roland Martin has hocked.
  12. I don't like the Mann's baits because of the shoddy hooks and their durability. I have had several (4 or more...) where the lips broke. A comparably priced, yet better super shallow crank is the Bandit Footloose. It comes in a whole lot more colors, and most these days come with good vanadium hooks - the same alloy that VMC uses.
  13. Bagley: Killer B1 Killer B2, Honey B, Balsa B1, Balsa B2, Balsa B3, Smallfry Baby Bass Bandit: Footloose, 100, 200, 300, and 700 Megabass: Cyclone Rebel: Diving Craw
  14. For a farm pond I would start throwing some soft plastic frogs. Horny Toads are OK, but Cane Toads by Gambler work much better for me. I do buzz them on top, but also love to let them sink. I rig them weightless.
  15. I like the Slug-go better than the fluke. I love walking the dog just under the surface with it. Also I dunno if I have a bait I like more in heavy wood cover or lily pads.
  16. I have bought some of those kits, and they stink. You get a couple of good worms, then a bunch of clumsy looking pieces of junk that wouldn't catch a starving fish. My favorite soft plastics are: Trick Worms by Zoom Cane Toads by Gambler Super Flukes by Zoom Giggy Stick by Gambler Gary Yamamoto Senko Berkley Power Craws
  17. I can't tell from those pics, but if your insurance agent is a fisherman, maybe he'll realize those tackle boxes. I sure hope the cops catch the SOB that stole your stuff, and I hope he dies in prison. >
  18. No problem, I knew you were joking around... I'm gonna pick some up this weekend, I'm going up to PA and there's a Cabelas and a BPS near where I'm going, so I'll get some there. I've seen it at one or the other, but can't remember which one... Can't wait to try it out.
  19. LOL, I must be dumb... The place I went to didn't have the KVD stuff, so I just grabbed the reel magic... BTW, aside from the fact that it does not do well on your line, it also does not get the bug tar off of the grill of your car...
  20. Is it better than Reel Magic? Because Reel Magic sucks.
  21. Best bet is the pawn shops within 25 miles of where they were stolen.
  22. I use only two brands for shallow cranks: Bandit - you can't find a more cost effective and super producing crank out there. I use the Footloose (wakebait) and the 100 (1-5 feet divers) series, and they work better for all sizes of fish than any other crank I have used. You'll catch your share of small fish, but I have gotten plenty of 5 pounders on them too. For their price, they cannot be beat. Bagley - nice balsa baits, but more expensive and tough to find. I get bigger fish on my bagleys, generally. I love the Balsa B's, BB1s, BB2s, and BB3s with square lips (0-4 foot divers). If you can find the ones with two line ties on the nose, ****** them up, it gives you two different wobble settings, a tight one and a wide one... It's like having two lures in one... I also LOVE the Bulgin B series, (also in sizes 1,2, and 3). They are wake baits that get crushed! I have used Rapalas, and they are great also. I have been completely underwhelmed with Mann's and Norman baits...
  23. I don't use trailer hooks on the cavitrons at all. Since you can go really, really slow with a cavitron, I don't think they're necessary as a rule. My cavitrons get pretty much inhaled and hooked up perfectly almost every time, I lost a fish yesterday on the cavitron, but only after it jumped...
