  1. I need more peg board space and posts.
  2. Don't have neither but do have the non ci4 Chronarch. Casts light stuff great.
  3. Mom just surprised the hell out of me. Costa man o' war 580p glasses, trokar hook set (the 60$ one??) and a thing for spooling line. Had no idea. This was coming. Father in law got me BPS GC in grab bag. And my misses got me GC to local gun store.
  4. Exactly. I have "4" combos worms-jigs etc. Heres what Im planning. Spinning - 6# invizX (already been using, dropshot, senkos.) BC - 15# AbrazX T rigs and 3/8oz jigs (This is a new rod 7'3" M/F) BC - 15# AbrazX 1/2oz football jigs and football jig headed swimbaits(New rod as well 7'3" MH/F ..was using 10# for my Keitechs) BC - 20# Abrazx for flipping on the broomstick.
  5. Btw thanks guys for contributing.
  6. I'm using abrazx gonna just do 2 15# spools for my 2 jig rods. One I'm gonna use for my soft swim baits as well, which was on 12#.
  7. yea like 8 of my combos are full spooled flouro. But wanted to switch with new dedicated set ups. Going to order 1000 yard spool and couldn't make up my mind.
  8. What # fluoro on a bc for worm and jig 3/8 - 1/2? ... Just wondering general consensus. Because I was using braid with flouro leader last year and the knot through the guides drove me nuts. Was using 15# on the leader....
  9. 1. White zoom fluke 2. Bluegill flash Keitech impact 3. Sexy shad SK spinnerbaits 4. 7" green pumpkin curly tail power bait worm 5. 1/2 oz pb&j SK football head jig with cinnamon trailer. 1 most fish, 5 least fish. All of which were my most productive tools.
  10. No Combos yet but did grab 2 more Omens 7'3" M/F 7'3" MH/F Was really hoping hookuptackle was gonna have their deal on Chronarchs again but they didnt this year. HopefullyI'll get 2 Chronarch CI4s before season starts.
  11. One thing that irritates me about shimano, is a lot of reels seem to debut or only come in right handed models. One of the core models is one of them. Late 2012 I was going to get one but ended up opting for the Chronarch. Another thing is some of the reels will only come in left for one speed and not the others. I think offering so many price points is actually hurting them in the long run.
  12. yeah I have rapalas that come like that out the box.
  13. I had great luck with them over the years during pre spawn.
  14. Yea the Shimanos PoweRgrip and TechnicaLgrip. One for right thumb and index finger and left thumb and index finger. Contoured.
  15. Caught a 10" smallie on a 10xd... Anything is possible seeing as how bass are territorial.
  16. My main point is companies skimp on the grips when making lefty reels. It's lame to me.i I'm righty but have been cranking lefty all my life.
  17. Ok so I love shimanos. But I have purchased other brands to try out. Daiwa aird, quantum accursit bc and spinning and a antix. Ok so I buy lefty reels, shimano has grips for the lefties contoured to your left index and thumb. And for the righties the same. So the quantum antix they used righty grips for the lefty reel where as the 2 accursits used the same flat grips..... Someone jump started a older okuma thread, so I was checking them out to see what's new, it seems they do the same thing on the reels that don't have round or flat grips. Hence the cheaper reels. So that's 2 brands that skimp out, may not be a big deal but it just irritates me lol little things like that steer me away from companies that don't spend the extra 2 cents. /rant Do any of you guys notice this with other brands out there?
  18. I bought one this year, wanted a cheap rod for one technique I rarely do, flipping, their 7'10 is tip heavyyyyy good overall construction though.
  19. The Helios is one of the sexiest reels in my opinion. However had a saltwater reel from them back in the day and it fell apart. I forgot the model but it was the one they made to compete with the shimano bait runner. Since then it seems they've improved a lot!
  20. brands: any colors: white with blue, sexy shad(strike king), black, green pumpkin single, double leaf: double day, single Colorado night time. willow/colorado/indiana: double willow with choppy water, willow and Colorado in dirty water, single willow in clear water, single Colorado at night weight: 1/4-1/2 Experiment is key with spinner baits. I technically have 8 in my box. 4 for shallow and 4 for 8+ft.
  21. Just met Paul at our banquet, good dude.
  22. I'm prob one of the biggest fan boys of shimano on the site next to lmg who left lol all honesty bro buy a Sonora!!! I had bought one for one of my trout set ups and have only used it for bass. The reel is rock solid for the money. You could get 2 for the price your looking to spend. I had a older symetre, I think new ones have xship, anyhow the Sonora felt and performed the same. The only downfall to the Sonora is its orange...... *edit didn't see you already bought one.
  23. spider ez mono, Sufix elite and siege, are my picks. I'm looking forward to trying Seaguar Senshi soon.
  24. $6.99 dammmm I paid 8.99 each I think.
