  1. What states are known for most lakes, best producing lakes, and best year round fishing in general? I live in CT and plan on moving in the next 3-5 years. I'm 31, ticked about these draconian gun laws and (just filed my taxes) sick of paying $0.60 on the dollar in taxes. Off of the above reasons I prefer Texas off the bat but would like to know the fishing scene too. Articles in magazines and websites only share so much info. Any responses to this are appreciated.
  2. Dam is my initials. 0007 was supposed to be 007, a typo a long time ago on my aim messenger name so I just kept it going all these years.
  3. Obviously I was rooting for home team with Paul. But glad none the less that one of the genuine guys won.
  4. www.ctbass.com theres a handful of clubs in the state in CBN. Paul who came in second last night in the classic is from here too. On the website theres a list of people to contact if any of you guys have questions, contact Sylvia. She heads the Nation. Hopefully if some of you guys are interested she can sneak you guys into our club or another for this year. All dues combined are around $130/year plus your $25/year Bassmaster membership. Our club has 6 club tournaments each year. Some clubs may have more. Each club has 1 meeting a month, some clubs mandatory some not. I prefer to attend all of them. CBN state tournaments are optional. I highly recommend everyone here to get involved. More people the better. --------------------- As far as NEBA, they are doing a combined trail this year with CBN. Its a team trail, 6 tournaments.
  5. Everyone gave you great advice! Some of these guys gave me similar advice last year and it paid off.
  6. it's been inaccurate for a handful of the guys until after official weigh ins.
  7. Who up here is in CBN? And any of you interested in the new NEBA/CBN trail?
  8. < grabs popcorn lol ... Once I fish the tatula I will be able to tell for myself. Honestly they are 2 totally different animals and both quality.
  9. Just moved to West Haven from Stratford. What's up everyone.
  10. Where did you get the number 7? Not being a smart arse. If I'm flipping I bring 3 if I'm bed fishing I bring 3-4 If I'm fishing deep I bring 5. It really depends what techniques you or the boater or vice versa are doing.
  11. http://www.fullforcerc.com/MR74-2RS check these
  12. Own 2 and they perform just as reliable as my chronarchs. Some guys just felt some sort of way for down grade of particular component materials. Reels simply work.
  13. I use a 6'7 m/f for jerk baits never really had a prob with losing fish. I do keep drag looser than I would if I was cranking with a moderate action rod, I also try to lip or net them and not swing em in the boat.
  14. grabbed it today I already had a zep cleaner degreaser looks like same thing? So just soak em and let air dry like I do with lighter fluid?
  15. ordered them today.... So I think I f'd myself. I remember you saying 5 or 6 bucks didn't remember if it was each or all 4... Called boca and guy was like 8 something I for stainless abec 5s non ceramic told him I wanted cheaper end of the spectrum cuz they're not for spool. Come to find out I paid 8 per bearing. So I get home re read your post above and threw up in my mouth a little bit. So I may end up putting these in my Chronarch handles and the chronarch bearings put em in my curados. ... A day in the life I swear..... Can u give me link for ones you bought so I can order me now. Not paying another 30 something lol
  16. It felt like it was oscillating find I was getting a grind in the handle. When I put the arrow 90' off of the nub part it was grinding full handle turn so I know this is the problem. Every time I try to reset the two gears I get a different amount of grind. Actually it's more like a rubbing friction feeling than grind... Anyhow gonna do what you said over the weekend. Thanks bro!
  17. well no for the house I have a few planos filled up with my main stash then a separate sealed Plano I fill accordingly prior to tourneys. So for the house I'd be straight.
  18. I'm in tears lmaooooooo
  19. 7" curly tail worm in green pumpkin or black is still a go to confidence bait for me
  20. I use 17# abrazx for shallow and lipless cranks. 10# invizx for jerk baits hard and soft.
  21. The gear with the 2 arrows on it that you have to point towards the other gear with the stem on it, it's little nub part. Any trick to lining these up correctly? I've tried re aligning it dozens of times and am getting a weird grind on 1/3 of handle turn.... Don't worry I'm practicing on a sienna, havent broke a Stradic or sustain .... On side note have baitcaster maitnence down pact.
  22. Did 2 of my Chronarchs and a Curado, the other day, flushed all stock spool bearings and the handle bearings for the heck of it. Used lighter fluid, I gotta say they are pretty d**n fast and smooth now. When I pick up the perfect solution stuff this weekend, gonna do a couple more reels with that. Finally got the Shimano maitnence down to a science. Not looking forward to doing the Tatulas. lol
  23. Have a 7ft Mojo inshore rod that needs a reel. I might jump on it.
