I'm in same boat. My basement ceiling is just under 7 so I can't do anything I like to stand em up.

I threw 17# ax for months with the same palomar knot tied on a snap on my crank bait rod.

4 power, I personally don't like rods too heavy unless I'm in lily pads and grass. I throw 3/8 + trailer jigs on a mh. Dobyns makes great rods good luck on new purchase!

the rod I'm intending on pitching with is what I want to have leader on. I usually have a rod length of line out when I cast/pitch. I think if I trim leader down so knot isn't going through the eyes I'll be alright.

just went and pitched a few dozen times in the backyard. 12 ft leader? The knot through the guides is annoying!!!!! Feel it catching on the guides and it's shortening the distance and the noise is annoying! There's gotta be a better way lol edit* hooked the jig to the fence and pulled like all hell the knot is definitely tough

try a 3700 box with dividers making 9 spaces, 9 types of soft plastics. A lot easier to access than going through bags. Also if it were me I wouldn't bring line. Make sure your reels are good ahead of time. If you have a wild birds nest drop the reel grab another. Your fishing against the clock!

some guys I've offered money to said no and that they would be fishing with or without a co angler so it doesn't matter. I always offer tho.

I love our organization up here. A lot of great people including Paul. It's a d**n shame he didn't get the coverage he should've but at the end of the day, thats medias ideology, he didn't exactly win the classic. I actually thought Mercer did a excellent job in supporting Not only Paul but the nation, CT and Brian Kerchal's win/legacy.... On a side note I'm happy that Howell won over majority of the other guys.

Strike kings midnight special is pretty much a go to, other than that anything black and top water. Frog, jitterbug, buzz bait, spook, etc.
