What do you generally find to be the best way to add weight to a glide bait to keep it from coming out of the water?
Hang a Bass about 10-7 off the front hook. That usually will keep them lower in the water column. Brian.

Can anyone help me with spooling this Daiwa reel?
When you put the line back on the reel, put it through the levelwind and it will spool up evenly, or close enough. Brian.

Best stainless steel bearings?
I put ABEC 9 anti-rust bearings in 7-Scorpion 70's for both pinion support bearings at the beginning of April. I JUST changed the pinion support bearings in these same 7-Scorpion 70's to factory Shimano bearings. Those so called ABEC 9 anti-rust bearing felt really good for a week, then they felt like coffee grinders after the first week. I don't believe those bearings were what they said they were. The cheap always ends up expensive. Brian.

Best stainless steel bearings?
If I do spool bearing swaps for people, and the Shimano blacks are in already, I always inquire what they want me to do with the old bearings. If they say, trash them or you can have them, I'll flush them and relube them. If they spin well, I put them in the stash. Brian.

what is happening to lakes where all the catches are dinks?
A local bank fishing lake we fish is like this, if you looked at the fish my Bud catches. The problem is, this is what he fishes for. He throws baits in areas to catch as many Bass as possible. I, on the other hand, fish the places I believe to hold good Bass. He'll definitely outfish me and catch 20 Bass at 15-6. I'll end an afternoon with 8 Bass for 28-6. Some like quantity over quality. Brian.

Best stainless steel bearings?
This 100%. I've tested Hedgehog HD Airs, ZPI Ceramics and Stainless, BOCA Orange Seals and Lightnings, etc, etc.. The black Shimanos, out of the Made in Japan reels, are the smoothest, quickest and quietest I've found. Brian.

Bass fishing is getting harder?
2005 Bass Master Classic, KVD won with 11 fish, 12-15 weight. If I had anything to do with the PA Fish Commission I'd have hung my head in shame. If it ain't Casinos, Lottery or Taxes, PA doesn't care. Brian.
