  1. I classify methods as moving or static. A topwater, jig, worm, Jerkbait(to an extent), can be fished moving or static depending on the fishes mood. Brian.
  2. Tackle Trap is back up and in operation. Brian.
  3. I keep hearing people say that all the time and the facts just don't hold water. Shimano Stradic FL 3000XG, 6.5:1, 35.5" IPT. Shimano Curado K XG, 8.5:1, 36" IPT. I agree with the power part but the speed part just isn't true. Brian.
  4. Ouch. Just the other day I started the afternoon trying to get my buds Lipless unhung. Of course I got it free and it shot back at me at light speed, hitting me square in the calf. I look down, and low and behold, there's a hook buried to the bend. Wasn't nothing some judicious work with my Kershaw couldn't fix. Fish on. Brian.
  5. Backroom Baits in Fayetteville, Pa.. The Owner fishes the Susquehanna River constantly and has for close to 50 years. Lots of Guides swear by them. Brian.
  6. Big profile Jig/Trailer and a 6"-8" Paddletail. Lock them in your hands and throw, throw, throw. Brian.
  7. Ya, that's a scary, unforgiving one. Brian.
  8. The dam below City Island? Brian.
  9. Figure out EXACTLY what you want to do with your setup and contact a reputable Rod Builder and have something built. Brian.
  10. Shimano Conquest or a Poison Glorious. Brian.
  11. Sounds like you lost a leg coming into the box. That will make half the breakers work and the others won't. Brian.
  12. If I have a few hours to burn and just running out to bank fish, it's almost always the same setup. 13 Metanium HG, ALX OXIM Agent, spooled with 12lb. McCoy Extra Clear. It does a bit of everything well. Brian.
  13. Buy in bulk when they're on sale. When the Owner's were on sale for $3 a pack, I bought all the 1/0, 3/0, and 5/0 I could. They don't spoil and don't eat much so I'm set for a good while. Brian.
  14. They love Spinnerbaits. Brian.
  15. You're using an 8/0 for a sub 5" paddletail? I use 5/0 for all 5". Brian.
  16. I use McCoy Extra Clear and have for a bunch of years, 8, 12, 15, 20. I haven't found anything I like more and I've tried. Brian.
  17. I toss them a bunch. The 3 rods that get used are a Lavante Perfect Pitch, Zodias 7'5" Hvy/Fast and a Lancer Pro 7'2" Hvy/Fast. Brian.
  18. I've never understood these questions. I prefer some completely different setups than alot I see recommended on here. 1 example, I use fast rods for Spinnerbaits and Bladed Jigs, I also prefer fast for Lipless and Squarebills fished in rock/rip rap. Most recommend Moderate/Regular rods for these techniques, but that has never worked for me. Brian.
  19. I complain about this every winter. Guy from Alabama talking about winter fishing in 55° water after I spent a half hour using a pick axe to cut the ice away from the ramp. Brian.
  20. Supposed to be. They shorted the new packaging 3 baits and are probably using a faster/more profitable manufacturing process, hence the lower price. Or they had a much higher profit margin capitalizing off the name. Brian.
  21. He sold and that's the new packaging. Brian.
  22. I like it. Holds up decent, slick line that casts well, relatively thin for lb. test, manageable stretch. I used it all last year on 3 bank setups and didn't find anything to hate about it. Brian.
