  1. I have my Wife throw Spinnerbaits. Simple cast and reel, single hook so I don't worry so much about her sticking herself or getting in the boat carpet. She loves throwing Jitterbugs at dark, I think she likes the action and sound of the Bug chugging along. She also catches fish on both. Keep the hooks needle sharp, my Wife isn't a big fan of setting the hook also. Brian.
  2. I love chewing the bills off on Rip Rap. Nothing like the feel of a deflection off a rock and that THUMP. Brian.
  3. I've been playing with 2- Shocks I got at W-Mart for $20 each. They're 7" MH's. You are correct on the tips they are soft, not spongee, but softer than a typical 7' MH Bass rod. I've thrown about everything on them and they're a darn good all around rod, you'll have to spend a bunch more than $50 to get as nice a build quality. Rods have decent feel to them, the quality is good, and the several bass I've caught they have handled them with no problems. I'm going to use them as my Snake Head Rods. That will def. test them for durability. Brian.
  4. I use a pile of Yo-Zuri Hybrid and McCoy Extra Clear Copoly, like each the same, great line. Brian.
  5. Caught one this winter that had blood red eyes, looked like a demon. Never caught one with those eyes before. Brian.

  12. Are you guys discussing the New formulated Iron Silk, introduced at this years I-Cast, or the old Iron Silk? Brian.
  13. Light line fishing( 6-8lb.) I use an insert, above that it doesn't matter to me as long as they're well made. Brian.
  14. Have a Bud that fishes them almost exclusively. He fishes them from Wake to 40 feet. He catches a bunch of fish. Brian.
  15. The black fiber looking round washers sandwiched between the metal washers inset into your main gear around the handle stem is the drag stack. Brian.
  16. F&F= Bobber and a Hair Jig. We catch lots of Bass on 2" Tubes fishing for Crappie in 40 degree water. Brian.
  17. Sent you a PM. Brian.
  18. I'd try later, let the water come up a few degree's. Float and Fly is a good idea though. Have ya tried ripping something by them? Brian.
  19. Caught 50+ in south central PA yesterday, couldn't find any schools with size though. Caught a couple Bass around some docks also. Brian.
  20. I really like the Coon Tail Worm, don't know if it's the scent or the ribbed body, but they won't let it go. Trophy Hunter slayed them for me last year. Brian.
  21. Like robster80, McCoy Copoly, but I use the Extra Clear. I also use their Flouro. Brian.
  22. I spent an hour with mine the other day. After some time, I settled with 1 brake on, dial at 2.5 and spool tention set to just remove any side to side play on the spool. I have it spooled with 10lb. Stren High Impact, mounted on a Shimano HM-1 Cumara 6'8" Med./Ext. Fast and throwing a XR25 One Knocker(.437 oz.). It was throwing that setup 50+ yards, I will eventually get a measured distance. I was quite pleased with it. Brian.
  23. Line for a start, Walmart for 12lb. Berkley Big Game or Stren High Impact. Brian.
